This was soooo freaking helpful! You have no idea. I just finished a full-stack coding bootcamp and I'm in the process of looking for my first job as a front-end developer. I've been watching day in the life videos but haven't found anything as specific as this. Thank you girl! You're awesome
Great job on showing an actual day as a developer... I hate seeing people who just talk about food and BS... this actually gives someone an inside look at what a developer does also love the fact that you ain't edit the ishhh out this video it made it more authentic. You got my support!
Wonderful! At some I'm going to do something similar but as a middle aged Dad of a young family! This is what people need to see - not a 5am wake up, shiatsu, meditation, uber healthy breakfast, gym session, then the same but in reverse at night. Who's day is like that??
Can you do a video on how you got a fully remote job? Is it your first job or did you have to get experience first? Pros and cons to being remote. I would love to learn more about being a remote developer!
The moment you sat down and started explaining slack and tickets, i knew this is real. Nothing fancy talking about coffee n lunch 🙂 Go girl, you earned a subscriber.
Thanks for this realistic real life of a coder scenario. Very informative and straight to the point. I like it. Happy to be one of the early subscriber to this channel :)
This is 99% accurate. Great video, when I was a student I thought I would just eat and hang out everyday. This video is super close to what a real day in the life is like for junior devs. Some more insight on the merge request, for big companies you need at least 2 other devs to review it, one of which should be a senior dev. They can approve, reject, or write comments. If they approve you can move your ticket to the next step. This is where the Product Owner will check the ticket and send it to the QA to do some last testing before merging with the main branch.
Finally saw the real world!!! Thank you so much. I am also learning my html and css atm for web development and I really like to watch videos like these. Good luck!!!
Thanks Poli for sharing your day, actually a VERY UNIQUE A DAY IN THE LIFE VIDEO. The explanation of things made it different and worth my time watching. You never know how much you helped me or somewhat(mentored/orientation me for a day?? LOL) of what it feels like to be in a software development team, which I will be working next year. Greetings from a freelance(solo flight?? no experience in team development) software developer in Philippines.
Finally, a video that doesn't start with, "I wake up, then I eat breakfast." I mean....yeah....most of us probably worked out that much for ourselves LOL
Is that a keychron keyboard? Highly recommend you get a wooden wrist rest to compliment the keyboard! The keyboard is so high off the table it can really be taxing on the wrists.
First of all, great video! But I'd like to suggest you to improve your desktop/chair setup. The position of your right arm may cause you some problems in the future.
What I do as a software engineer in a day this edition has been done by many people but only if you can able to show what a real Engineer will do in his life in a word point of you. I myself being a full stack developer what I do in a day is mostly I will be checking my mails slack messengers and giving reply to them and clarifying their queries and will be having some specifications and specs to be developed . I will come in the code deploy the code and will be checking whether the features of working fine or not if not will be fixing the bugs again retesting 8 and once everything is working fine will inform to the manager that everything was done and will be waiting for the new specifications are futures to be developed and at the end of the day on the middle of the day will be reporting what we have done to the manager
You kinda look like Bella from twilight 😍 But I was curious do you have a cs degree? Or did you do bootcamp or self taught? I would love to see a video on the steps you took to getting your first job! You have a new subscriber🤍
Exactly, I am glad I found your channel, because the rest will show you how they brew coffee or other drinks and nothing about software engineer job. I even got the impression that software engineer is cool in cooking. (I know you on NDA and can't share details of your work, but honestly it is only for your stupid managers, any hacker has full access to all your company secrets).
Oh ok so this is how the real stuff is. It's not fancy at all. Damn. Thanks for showing the 'real raw' life of a programmer. Also you sounds like Zooey Deschanel (no cap).
This is a really good video Poli. Thanks for sharing this. I'm currently in training to become a full-stack web dev, so this is right up my alley. Also, what kind of track pad are you using, and do you like that better than a mouse? A future video showing your complete equipment setup would be nice too! I sub'd. Cheers ✌🏻
I am not from CSE, but i am really want to be a software engineer. advice me how to become a software engineer. I am learning coding. my major is not CSE or science Learned Programming language Java, Python, JavaScript, Dart, C
As a SWE: Really depends on the bug. Usually over time is not expected where I work, but one usually likes to finish their task because of addiction and dopamine.

True video, no fancy going for dinners or reading books or going for hiking, just sitting infront of screen all day
I was going for hiking last half of an year, so I'm jobless now.
☺️. Are you enjoy sitting for all day?
You know what? I like it. Finally someone explained it for those who have no idea what a programmer do...

Why is this video not viral yet?? This is the most informative video I have ever encountered on TH-cam concerning software development!!

I use the exact same keyboard and Apple trackpad haha
Good stuff. I hope your office chair isn't usually this low. Also maybe get a wooden wrist rest :)

awesome.
Finally! No coffee montages😪😪
hello, I wanna be a software engineer and trying to major in computer science but I'm bad at math, do you think I can still get that CS degree?
Man if you need to ask such a question here your biggest problem is not your math skill
@@baris1513 wdym
no you don't need to be good at math, unless you want to go into Data Science.
Awesome,
Is they tracking your daily work as well ?
is your company going to hire a remote front-end developer currently?
