This was a real joy to watch and lifted up my mood! Your illustration is beautiful and a clear display of the love and care you put into it, great work!!!
Your artworks remind me when I was a kid, spending every afternoon sitting on the floor of my local library, looking at those tiny peoples and all the mechanics drawing in those big encyclopaedia books, not knowing any actual meaning of the words. Thank you. Your videos are like time machine that allow me to enjoy a few minutes of being that naive kid with simple life again.
I loved and still love this type of illustration. I poured over books filled with them as a child and never tired of them. I would look and read and then start it all over again. The richness of color and imagination would create a direct line from the page to my mind and lock me in its power.
That was a really beautiful video. I love your work, it's like Richard Scarry meets Moebius. I would love to see this whole process in real time. It creates a very chill vibe.
Hi Nik, Your fusión between dip pen and watercolor is very delicate and detailed; it is very relaxing watching your video, thank you for sharing. Greetings from Colombia.
this is incredible as always. your videos are cinematic. masterful. you should be so so proud of yourself. what you're doing with this art and music is meaningful! thank you.
Your videos are some of the best process artwork on TH-cam. Your creativity is astounding and these videos are very calming. Thank you for sharing your art with us.
lovely, truly. i hope i can get to this level of artistry and creativity one day with my own illustration. i'm very glad i found this channel. i'd watch unedited full time processes, too. its just lovely to see this work being made in real time.😍
Have recently just found your channel. Your artwork is spellbinding. Your video style and editing are captivating, and inspiring. Keep up the amazing work!! I love your content!!
Think i learnt more about proper watercolour process (light to dark) from this video than from any tutorial videos. Lovely work. What is the type of shading called with dots and dashes?
That's a Testers 1/48th scale OV-10 part. Sorry its nerd stuff. Have you ever seen an animation called Dragons Heaven? Your line work reminds me of some of the art in that film. Cool video.
Your listing of materials used is helpful. Thank you. Are you using Canson Illustration/Comic, or is it Canson Bristol? Or is it some other variety of Canson art board?
I would like to ask you a question. When using a dip pen for drawing, how can I avoid the ink suddenly flooding the paper at the beginning of a stroke? Also, when you choose colors, do you rely on intuition, or do you plan the color combinations before applying them?
@@Lucia_Lu0326 For colors it’s usually just intuition, if I plan too much it just isn’t as fun for me. To keep the ink from blotting I always test on some scratch paper after dipping. Usually, blotting occurs when there is too much ink, or there is something stuck on the tip like paper fibers or dried ink.
@@Henderverse Thank you so much for your answer! I have another question: When using a dip pen, the drawing time is quite short, and I always need to dip the pen frequently. Is this the same for you as well? Also, is the nib you're using in this video the HUNT 56 model?
@@Lucia_Lu0326 Nik tells us in his description that he is using the Hunt 56 nib. Comparing what can be seen in this video with online photos of the Hunt 56 nib, the full inscription on the nib is: "HUNT SCHOOL ROUND POINTED U.S.A. 56"

This is great, reminds me of old usborne adventure books from my childhood
Wonderful. As a kid that's the kind of picture I would have spent hours looking at.

私は80歳です、絵を描いています、緻密なパリの風景画ですが、貴方の作品は楽しいです。
お疲れ様です。
緻密な作品、いろんな種類の生物が描かれ大変楽しい童心に返ります。

What brand of ink do you use ?

Sunday in the park, biznatch
Great job! Dump the music, I'd rather listen to the pen scratching the paper!
