Re-creating Duper Leap is waiting is it cool but I would love to see you re-create Priyanka Chopra Dress that she wore to the Indian fashion expedition !
I would say you could tack the twisted rope trim (maybe a slightly smaller gauge) with a baste stitch or a few dots of fabric glue and hand stitch it down for security. I prefer that over the tweed I think to match a little closer.
As a fellow clothing creator im obsessed that we are somehow always on the same shit!! We both found the sheer black velvet houndstooth and made dresses with gloves. Theyre very different but that blew my mind, and ive been sketching this ever since seeing it, to make it or similar recreation. Hahaha i love it! 💙 Cant wait to see your finished project!!
After your done with this dress when you get the Time you should do Jennie Kim bcs I love her so much and I love how you make everything unique in your own way love you 😘
You'll think I'm crazy, but you could get a similar trim much thinner, by twists a white and black rick rack. It makes a nice twisted look and relatively inexpensive.
It’s $10/yard because you’re not shopping at the right kind of fabric store!!! (I think they’re called dead stock/end stock stores, almost like outlet stores for fabric; huge variety and much lower prices!!) Good luck, I’m excited for this project!!

I would use a Tunisian stitch to make that cute little black checkerboard trim on the dress and the other one is there is a technique for making hand twisted fringe out of crochet I would do that for the bottom of the dress but good luck. If you did that you'd save a ton of money
You do know tweed is only made in Scotland and it protected. If tweed is made anywhere other than Scotland sorry but it ain't tweed. Love From Scotland xxxx
