Black Popeye I still hate how they destroy vintage and unreplaceable games to make this. Collectors will look for super man 64 and it will be scarce and expensive. *SUPER MAN 64 WILL BE RARE AND EXPENSIVE!!*
Honestly. If they can manufacture circuit boards, they can manufacture new cases for much cheaper than buying games. Sure. Crappy games are cheap now, but once those games are sucked dry, everdrive will have no affordable option........
My monopoly cartrage when to @%#$ . It totally degraded. Question. What was the game for the n64 that had... A Bear that could possibly fly? I loved that game. it was 3D and that's about all i remember
its so cool that people are making all these new things to play the old games still. I want to have a few older systems just sucks not having room for the old big as tvs. I need to spend to much money if I want to play old games. I am trying to figure out what I want to do for my goals

I know it experienced many delays as they kept mentioning on shows like Bad Influence that it had been delayed by more months.
great video as ever dan, going to dig my n64 out this weekend i think. i never seem to have the time to do all the things i want retro but this is a must to do not caught you on gem either recently
the PS1 was released before the N64, but only because the N64 was delayed for about 2 years iirc. I certainly remember hearing about them both as the upcoming "super consoles" for a long time before either was released.
I mostly play my favorite N64 games on my Wii nowadays. Nintendo was nice enough to make Super Smash Bros., Mario Kart 64 and Star Fox 64 readily available via the Virtual Console for just $10 each. Since my Wii is connected to my HDTV via component cables I can even play these game in progressive scan which makes them look better than ever before.
I was legitimately surprised that the Ps1 not only outsold the N64 but absolutely dominated it. I only ever knew one person with a Ps1, everyone else had an N64... Also N64 was way better but that's besides the point
+Nimrod The fact that you said mate indicates that you are probably not from the US. I'm from USA as well, and almost everyone here had a N64. In fact, I didn't know a single person with a playstation.
Remember donkey kong 64 came with a different pack for the little slot in the front to expand memory i think get one of those and i bet those 2 games run just fine.
The PSX was originally designed to be the third gen Nintendo by Sony before that deal fell through. Only then did Sony decide to go ahead and release their own console, hence the delay at Nintendo.
It is a flashcard ROM data loads into FLASH memory which acts like actual N64 game Same controls, same speed, even Expansion pak features work (If you have one)
You seem to get very high or sharp resolution from your N64 in the everdrive menu. For me (i have version 2 of the os) it's much more blurry. Are you using S-video? I am using composite. Thanks!
what if you want to save a game??? what is going to happen? Like with zelda ocarina of time it saves to the internal... but with say like a game like shadowman it saves to the save cartridge thing you bought and put into the controller... how does all this work???
I had problems with the NES and USA games originally. All I had to do was change the display settings on the everdrive from auto to PAL-M and it works perfectly.
Most N64 game hacks are tested on emulators. The primary issue is odd address faults. Just like the 68000 cannot address words or longs on odd addresses, the MIPS 4300 in the N64 cannot address words on odd addresses, or longs on other than long aligned addresses. Emulators ignore the alignment of data for extra speed, so when hackers test on emulators, they miss unaligned data errors in their hack. The hack then fails on real hardware.
where do you find roms for ntsc for the everdrive i want to start downloading games before i even go ahead and buy the everdrive just cant find a specific web search for them
Yes! Here is a complet Pack for ED`s The N64 pack include all Hacks, NTSC, Pal, Bootlegs, Translation, Japanes Games, a few Emulators and much more! archive.org/download/TheEverdrivePacks
Do you have a flickering problem with the odd N64 games? I bought an ED64 last week and mostly it works fine but several games flicker badly including the NES and SMS emulators
I have a question about this I heard this from my older brother and when he told me what it was i had to see it and when i found your vid. I was amazed about this cartilage for the N64 I mean I really want to play old classic N64 games that i never played as a child growing up. I also was wondering is this the only cheap/best price it can give me I heard the everdrive N64 deluxe bundle but that's like $179 I kinda don't wanna spend that much. I mean yeah its good and all and great to have but I am confuse about what to get for this everdrive to purchase it on that site you just went to in the vid its something about adding something to the cartilage to order it??. Please message me when you have the time.
hi! we have tried to save exactly the files you suggested to a SD card and we have an everdrive bought from Krikzz, but we only get the blue screen when we put it in the N64 console. what could we have done wrong? Thankful for all the help we can get!
pwnyou2295 Nice. Actually, I already have one of these now haha. You definitely don't have to modify the hardware. If you're looking to buy one of these, get the ED64Plus from China. It's like a quarter of the price for the same thing (it even runs the same software). That's what I got and it runs smoothly.
+Ruben Toco its expensive but with it you can own every single game on the n64. if u were to individually get each game you'd spend way more than what its worth. and running the games on the computer isnt quite the same
My question is if N64 can run games from the Everdrive that require memory Pak, without having one. For example, can I play Donkey Kong 64 via Everdrive without having a memory expansion?
Criminy. I love the N64 as much as anyone (it was my first-ever console, bought shortly after my A500 was killed by Lamer Exterminator), but I don't see anything here to justify paying half-again the original MSRP of a 15-y/o console for a ROM player. Granted, PCB manufacture is expensive for small businesses, but apart from saving money on used, out-of-print carts, it's not worth it for anyone but die-hards.
I literally just Googled "Everdrive 64" and found the answer in like 5 seconds. Come on man, at least put in a little effort! This is the Internet! krikzz.com/store/
8 gigs? A little excessive for something that old isn't it? ;) I actually have two N64s. The other is a NTSC model that I've modded to output in RGB. The hardware's in there, it just needs to be rewired a bit.
does the game run on emulation or the actual n64 system its self because i dont want to buy this and end up not being able to play all my games correctly like i have an n64 emulator for my pc buuuutt it sucks and will only play like star fox zelda oot and mario 64 thats it! i want to play pokemon stadium without everything glitching out!

maybe you formatted the SD card incorrectly? Depending on the size of the SD card, you may need to use a separate utility to format it. Windows will use exFAT after 32 GB. Everdrive 64 requires fat32. If you're using something like a 64 gb SD card and used the default formatting on windows, that's likely your problem. You can download a FAT32 Gui formatter online if you google it. This allows you to format larger cards to fat32, but on reality, you dont need such a large card for n64. All the games only take up around 8 gb. Even if you used other regions as well, seems unlikely you'd even exceed 32 gb

Well, isnt it worth the $200 to play every single n64 game on your console... thats certainty cheaper than to buy every single n64 game you can play with this...
Yeah, propably no one wants the WHOLE n64 collection (or if someone wants, then they propably don't want to use everdrives...), but this is so much worth it... at the average price of the n64 games being around $30, this would be cheaper than 7 games on the average price... Your NES Rom was a NTSC US-Version which your PAL Console can not display correctly.
