Sadly straight up piracy is going to end up being the only way to preserve these games. Some one will buy EVERYTHING from the store put it online. I do NOT encourage such behavior at all but it is almost certainly the only way these will be perserved.
You're probably right, but I figured I'd do a video to cover what will be lost. A lot of people were asking me to do this one, so hopefully it's helpful at least.
I would like to have the peace of mind of actually owning most of the games i would play but yes, when the shutdown actually does happen. It's RGH time.

I’ve searched both under N & B and the only Blitz i found was Blitz 1 & 2, both with Lawrence Taylor on the cover but these aren’t it. I also searched ‘NFL Blitz’ and the only result was ‘N F L Blitz’ and there was no option to buy it, only gave an option to rate it. Are you sure you saw this for sale?
The arcades are my top priority, then the digital only releases and avatar items, and I’m holding out for the rare physical ones that are digital and expensive for last sale
A nice video, wish I saw this five months ago! Once it was all said and done what games did you end up buying? Did you buy Blazing Birds, Dishwasher: Dead Samurai or Full House Poker?

This is so sad to me as a person who owned the xbox 360 but never played any games other than minecraft and left 4 dead and cobalt on it and only had the full game of minecraft and didn't have any online friends at the time. Maybe its because i was too young and already the time i was playing these games new things and consoles were already being made and put out but i just wished i experienced more of the time i grew up it
Honestly, it was probably the best time for gaming! I remember midnight launches for games, no huge game installs or giant updates. Put in the disc and it worked!
@thegamethrifter I might have been really young, but I had the best time to With the games I did have, plus I also had the ps3 with little big planet and my uncle had other games one was resident evil 5 which was the first one I played and other cool games but I forgot the name, but i was too scared to play it so I watched my dad and uncle play it till I got a little older. Then, a friend of my family member gave me the fallout 3 disk, but I still think I was too young to play it, but I became one of my favorite games. But minecraft was the one game that I played on both the ps3 and Xbox 360, and it was fun
I sure love to know how can I play a 4 player with the Simpson arcade or teenage mutant ninja turtles arcade if no there will join there is an achievement play 4 player online I think it’s dead
Can these digital only games still be accessed on the XBox Series X, Series S and XBox One once the XBox 360 Marketplace closes or will they be gone forever once they shutdown?

I hope to buy a bunch of these but there's this weird glitch where my debit card won't work for some reason and I keep trying and it won't take it. Hopefully that'll get cleared up because I want to get several of these games including toy box turbos.
same, i can’t use cards but what worked for me was buying an xbox gift card and adding the funds on my account on my computer and the funds were available on my 360

Microsoft is forcing everyone to use either an RGH or JTAG 360, piracy is the only option to play hundreds of digital only games, I wouldn’t bother giving Microsoft money for the remaining games, they are after all the ones removing the 360 store! 😞
Well I play online still, and they can detect those things and ban your account, and since I own over 1500 digital games across Xbox 360, Xbox Series X and Xbox One, I'd rather keep access to them all...lol
@@thegamethrifter Fair enough but after the shutdown a modded console is the only way to access those games if you haven’t purchased them + the ones that have already been removed. It’s also only a matter of time before they remove online from the 360, so they’re forcing our hands here (even I am going to have to buy a modded 360 in the future because of them not preserving the games). Keep up the videos 👍.
@@omgoat Why would I want either banned? And if they do ban your account you'd lose access to all your digital content. It's not really worth it to me.
Great video! So many great games that will be lost forever. I'm glad that I started to get a few here and there. I'm glad they are doing sales. Sometimes I tend to get a few annoying errors on the marketplace.

4:40 people aren’t freaking out more about it because they’re too busy buying shovelware garbage, most of which is multiplat anyway mind you, that’s getting price gouged out the butt because they’re only thinking about “future investments”. Sadly that’s what game collecting has become these days, it’s no longer about the gaming aspect with some of these “collectors”. That’s why they don’t care about these games that are actually gonna disappear forever, no chance to make money off of it.
Is it strange phenomenon people putting videos up of all these games for the 360 yet are not researching to find out whether or not the games are even still available in the store the TMNT game you are actually listing on here and showing gameplay of is not even on the list you show. Because it's been delisted. Metal Jesus did the same thing he posted mad writers which has been removed back in 2017 on Steam and possibly on all the consoles yet he's showing it on more recent video please people just do a little research find out if the games are showing or even available
Sir thank you very much for this info I tried to buy a couple of games for some reason downloading takes forever this is the first time I order the Xbox 360 gear and it takes me two days to download I don’t understand I order from Xbox one and it goes very quickly I bought a game from 360 and it takes me two days Don’t understand my Wi-Fi is good this never happened before with 360 what can I do to speed it up thanks
There's not much you can do, unless you try to use a wired connection? Xbox 360 WiFi is pretty slow by today's standards, and it has the ability to only download (I believe) at 15mbps.
@@thegamethrifter thanks It started when people found out that it was shutting The store down three months ago I bought homefront and it only took me 10 minutes quick and fast now 2 to 3 days to download a game thanks question if you have a game that’s already digitally download it and the store shuts down can I still play it on the Xbox 360 and the Xbox one because I have a Lotta games that already digitally download it but have no room to download themTo the hard drive

@@Miles117-s1y You'll still be able to play a game even if the store closes. And you'll actually still be able to download a game you previously bought even when the store closes.
Cool video. These games have been available for many years, if people wanted them, they would have them. Same with physical 360 games. I grab them from my thrift stores, when I see a title, I may play. I resell them on my eBay and Mercari (see link on our page), but try not to charge the FOMO amounts.
Sometimes people forget about things, or maybe they got rid of something and decide they want it back. There's lots of people buying stuff off the store including myself lol

What if a person finds out about these old games in the future from videos and wants to play them? What about someone who played them many years ago but doesn’t have the games on their account? The games being available for years doesn’t excuse them being delisted for eternity, they are essentially art which was created by people for people to play and enjoy and soon piracy will be the only option to play them because of Microsoft’s poor preservation.

You realize new gamers are born every day? A lot of people probably weren't born during this era, it doesn't mean they wouldn't like these games or have a chance to play them.

I had a lot of problems buying and downloading games off the 360 store as well. Some just won't download at all....

On the 360 store? I don't think so. But they sometimes have some of the OG Xbox games on sale on Xbox Series X/S
One thing they forgot to put the DLC on sale as well for games that have DLC.

No one is ever on the game these days. Those games are de-listed, so it's impossible to buy them. I haven't found a game in years.

No, these can only be accessed through the Xbox 360. They will literally be gone forever once the store closes at the end of the month.

Same thing happened to me, I even added credit to my account and I get errors all the time.
Toybox Turbos was delisted two years ago.
