why is anyone shocked by this, the company is so predatory its unreal and puts out dog shit content, then announce a game that will be dead on arrival. When the membership goes up thats me a 15 year vet will quit permanently.

Jagex is a master. A master at building up their reputation with their playerbase. And the day after they blow it to bits, and this cycle repeats every month/year. 25 fucking years and they still don't get it.
Jagex is like a supermarket with a self service section, at checkout, you'll be charged with a service fee, convenience fee and are asked for a tip in the amount of 15-25-35%
Jagex putting a new skilling outfit on a treasure hunter and excluding h'oddments from ironmen, right before group ironman launch really spells out a great look for the upcoming mode, like how stupid of a decision was this...
I found this such an odd move for them to make. I am always for recognizing progress where progress has been made, and as someone that understands not everything can be done instantly (especially when it comes to monetization). But this seems like a dramatic regression. I don't think this is a sign of things to come or anything, Ill come to that conclusion when theres evidence for it. But even if this is a one-off thing, it REALLY feels like while continuously making progress, they just said "Lets undo all that progress for one celebration by repeating a mistake we already corrected almost a decade ago". Its not just a bad decision to me, its a REALLY weird one.

@@evilkittens9 Jagex has made significantly more progress than just discussing MTX. Have you noticed that every TH promotion is now a guaranteed reward after so many keys instead of strictly RNG? Or how they no longer do one off TH events. They all give currency that you can collect and spend overtime, so no more "FOMO" for the majority of what they do offer Or how they when the 110 mining and smithing came out, the players were given a vote on which version of the pickaxe and armours we liked more, and put all the preferred ones in game as earnable, while the others became TH items I stead of the other way around? (Also allowing theTH to use in-game resources instead of allocating an entire team to content solely for TH) This decision they are making is absolutely horrendous, and shows some level of incompetence. But if your outlook is "they only did one good thing, and this is 10x worse than any progress" why even bother playing lol

Jagexs continued mishandling of MTX and content releases is a massive part of why I recently left the game. I’m a maxes player with over 15 years in the game and I just can’t deal with it anymore. Even with putting hours and hours into the game every week I can’t even complete a lot of these events because I won’t open my wallet to them company. The game I once loved has turned into essentially a gacha machine. For the most part it’s almost at the same level as playing a Hoyoverse game except less visually impressive, fewer content updates, and less communication from devs. From my standing it doesn’t even feel like Jagex is thinking about the game long term. They’ve legit milked the player base dry and they’d do it with OSRS if they could get away with it. So much fun and potential lies in RS3 but instead of putting their all into getting it out they’d rather find new ways to get money from us. I’ve canceled my long standing membership and moved on. Hopefully they come to their senses with content creators speaking out but I truly don’t see it happening. Thanks regardless for trying your best! Hopefully more speak up in solidarity!
Why is anyone still playing RS3 instead of switching to OSRS when they keep doing shit like this? I tried sticking it out with RS3 for so many years but I just couldn't take this MTX crap anymore. OSRS has been awesome and I'm honestly disappointed I didn't make the switch years ago.
