real life, not exaggerated example of mansplaining that happened to me:
I was waiting for the bus, and a gentleman asked me what time it was. I told him. The bus was a few minutes late. After another minute or two, we see the bus headed the opposite direction for that route stop across the street. He turned to me and said (word for word) "You know, when the bus stops on the other side of the street, that usually means that our bus is about to arrive."
I've been taking public transit since I was 15.
Sometimes those "exaggerated skits" aren't all that exaggerated.

Honestly it sounds like you're the asshole in this scenario lol. It literally sounds like he was trying to give you a fact he thought you may not have known but nooo it's "mansplaining"

Sorry you were so triggered by someone sharing their insights about busses and bus schedules 😂
This is the problem with the term 'mansplaining'. It was created by a woman who wants to be considered 'equal' to a man in the world, but immediately shows how unequal and in need of protection from words they are. As soon as you made it about the man's gender, you made yourself look weak and stupid. He doesn't know you've been riding the bus for 15 years. It's sounds like he was just trying to be nice and share his experience. Instead, he gets labeled as a misogynist by you.
Never use the word 'mansplain' again. Use the real word that applies. If someone is being rude or condescending, call them out for being rude and condescending, but don't make it about their gender, it only makes you look weak and incapable of surviving in a world full of men.
