You NEED to stay at least 2 days in Curitiba, it's just an Amazing City. There is the "park" behind the Oscar Niermayer were lot of people take their dogs to have fun, and a lot of beautifull places to visit with Patti.
11:10 Regarding Custard, you should try a pastry called "Sonho". Brazil pastry differs from Argentina, so I guess mostly you were expecting something else.
"Marta Rocha" in southern Brazil is a spongy cake filled with prunes preserve and pecans. It's probably not the best way to satisfy a custard desire. "Sonho de creme" may be a better option.
Hey, some tips about food: 1- If you see something with cream on top is probably just sweet bread, you need to ask for "sonho" for the good one. 2- When you are getting some burger asks for the "x-tudo" (is pronounced "chess tudo") is basically bread n meat with everything, i think is the safest bet and is pretty good. 3 - Our hot dog is completely different from yours the "hot dog" is called salchicha and is not that good compared with the smoked one is more like a cheap bologna so be aware.
Best option is on Bradesco since they won’t charge a withdrawal fee, usually only their own conversion. On Banco24Horas it wanted to charge R$ 25 per withdrawal and ATM24h would charge R$ 50 😱 On itaú with a foreign card it failed in the end.
Also, the reason she was trying to give you change is because Brazil doesn't have a tipping culture. All waiters have wages, sometimes their service is also included in the tab, and you can opt to not pay. But tips are only really given for outstanding service. Definitely not expected in a roadside homey business.
Some places are trying to implement a tipping culture, and I support it, as long as the waiters' wages remain the same and the waiter receives the tip directly.
Welcome to Brazil, there is no tip there, the salary is so low that it can't even last for a month, in my opinion, living in Brazil is the same thing as living in hell.

I'm in love with Patti. In Brazil we call the chorizos "linguiças" (the ç is pronounced like an s).
The gasoline in Brazil has more ethanol than in other places, be aware for the engine. Safe trip.
Regular gasoline in Brazil have up to 25% ethanol, it’s ok, even give a small boost on the engines.
If was an high power engine like a sports car I would recommend to use Podium gasoline from Petrobras (one of the best gasoline in the world), but it cost basically double of regular gasoline and I don’t believe would do much for a TukTuk. (Unless the engine needs some cleaning from bad fuel)
@@EudesRJ well yes.... it's and small engine......but the effect is the same.....overall less working years..... In these case.....less km before change some spare parts... Just to take in mind.
PATY ❤
I've been following your channel from Santa Catarina/Brazil, but it's difficult, my mouth is watering on all of them, boy, how much good food you're eating here, X salada, X tudo, coxinha, cachorro-quente and all kinds of sweets...
Tip: Try buying Padaria food in the morning or afternoon, it's fresher and tastier! At night the food is more dry and cold, since it's made sooner.
If you could wait for the rain to stop, you should definitely visit the beaches in Santa Catarina.
I reallyyyyyyy want to see this tuk tuk going up the RIO BH mountain range.
6:35 He asked if this was a Romi Isetta, the BMW Isetta 😂
Me lembrou o nosso querido Jesse 😢 bateu saudade
8:56 definitely, 54 countries down and I always look at what supermarket is near my accommodation 😄
Que Deus abençoe a sua jornada 🇧🇷🤍
The south of the country is very quiet... When you enter the state of São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro you must be VERY careful... I recommend that you reconsider going through these places... They can steal your vehicle and considering there are a lot of canvas parts in it it shouldn't be a difficult thing to do!Be careful!! And have a great trip!
Thanks mate! Superbe, as usual! You’re a legend! What a rainy video! What a courageous guy! What a dog!
Bro, technically you have to be able to maintain over 60 km/hr on the main motorways. I never had too much issues in my 2 cylinder 550cc microvan going below this but you will seriously piss off some truckers and they will put you in danger overtaking you so be careful. If you plan on coming through state Mato Grosso you should swing by! Kiwi in Brazil.
Traveling through southern Brazil, especially Rio Grande do Sul, some spots totally feel like Switzerland 😂. Brazil's such an awesome place to keep exploring!
Vou acompanhá-lo até você chegar no Canadá. Vai chegar estamos torcendo .
Forte abraço !!!

What's up buddy? Good Luck in Brazil. FYI. from what you bought at the store. The chorizo as you said in Brazil it's called linguiça. And the cookies are bolachas. You going to learn a lot. Take care of you and Patti. 🤜🏻🤛🏻
Chorizo is called salsichão in Rio Grande do Sul…
You can withdraw reais with a common non-credit card from abroad at 24-hour banks and Bradesco ATM throughout the country.
Hope you get to see Balneário Camboriú-SC, the Brazilian Dubai. Truly a sight to behold.
Hello I'm from Brazil 🇧🇷
Seja muito bem vindo ao Brasil!
Mate, just be aware that when you head to Rio on the main highway you'll cross bit of a mountain range, coming down the other side you'll be on a fairly steep decline for 20- 30 kms. Work out now if your tuk tuk can do engine breaking so that you don't suffer brake fade, or you'll have to pull over every 5 minutes to let the brakes cool off IF there are places to pull over! Its a double lane motorway. Alternatively you could go round the coast. Have a good one!
About the stuffed sweet breads, you chose the wrong ones, there is bread that is very stuffed and you even get covered in so much stuffing... it is generally called STUFFED straw bread.
good to see your channel is growing ( been promoting it on overloading channels)
Legend for that mate! Thank you
Hello brother, you are in my state, Rio Grande do Sul has a unique culture, the Gaucho culture, which is only present in this state. I recommend you visit the capital Porto Alegre where people speak better English and Spanish and where you can visit places such as "public market", "historic center" which has information in English on some regions to facilitate your understanding and we are in a time very special for the people of Rio Grande do Sul, so look in this same city for the "farroupilha camp"!
You are looking for "sonhos" (dreams). Ask at any Brazilian bakery, and you will discover heaven. Also, ask for "bomba de chocolate" (chocolate bomb). Thank me later!
You should check out the ,cataratas de Foz do Iguaçu ,is the Iguaçu water falls is bigger than Niagara
2:25 Do fundo da grota torando de fundo
You can use the Nomad card and make the direct conversion from dollars to Brazilian real

The music in the background that you heard is “Fundo da Grota” by Baitaca! This is brazilll🇧🇷
What you're looking for as far as custard pastry is this thing called "sonho". It's two thirds pastry and a third custard. You pronounce it like you would pronounce the word "soño" (that word existed, that is).
Welcome to Brazil and you will start off well by arriving in the State of Rio Grande do Sul. Here in the extreme south of Brazil the climate is rainy and cold.
Have a good trip!
