You saying brazilian drivers are optimists and positive yet you always got a big wide smile and in a good mood. Good luck my man, you're a true legend!
I've been following your journey through South America. There's been a lot of tension at various times. I'm here praying for you that everything works out. But some very dangerous decisions. Wouldn't it be better to rent a car for you and your medium dog to travel close to the Brazilian border? In a border town, it's easier to get a truck to Bolivia. I'm praying for you. I hope everything goes well, despite the risks you're taking!!!!
Wishing you all the best!! I’ve noticed your videos are posted way afterwards so I’m hoping you’re in your final destination or at least close to it.. I’m so happy you and Miss Patti have each other ♥️ Ps: I agree with another comment about the last uber driver, report him. Brazilians take uber very seriously because basically everyone uses the service so we watch out for one another!
The issue is finding a company that will accept big dogs, however. He tried to board a bus in São Paulo but none of the companies would accept Patti due to her size. It's unlikely that it will be different in Campo Grande but maybe he has better luck here (I live in Campo Grande).
Thanks Ryan! What a man! You and Patti are real legends doing all this so as to continue your dream, that now it’s ours. I’ll keep you both in my prayers. Hope you’ll find always someone to help you go forward. Always forward, though never smooth. Whattada, what a day! ❤
Cupuaçu (Theobroma grandiflorum) is a tropical fruit native to the Amazon rainforest, particularly found in Brazil. It is closely related to cacao and is known for its large, brown, and thick-walled fruit. Here are some key points about cupuaçu: Appearance: The fruit is about the size of a small melon and has a rough, woody outer shell. Pulp: Inside, the fruit contains a creamy, white pulp that has a unique flavor, often described as a mix between chocolate and pineapple with hints of banana. Uses: The pulp is used to make juices, sweets, jams, and ice creams. It's also used in the production of cosmetics, thanks to its moisturizing properties. Nutritional Value: Cupuaçu is rich in vitamins (especially Vitamin C), antioxidants, and healthy fats. Cupuaçu is cherished for its delicious taste and numerous health benefits, making it a popular ingredient in various culinary and cosmetic products.
and since it's related to cocoa plant it is possible to make chocolate version from it. it is hard to find because it's new thing... it is called cupulate... unfortunately I could not find cupulate here in south Brazil to give a try
I know it's probably late for an advice, but next time try to ask for a paper somewhere and then improvise a sign when hitchhiking. You could have written it in Spanish or used a translation app for Portuguese... Good luck with your trip and the "New Tuk Tuk" quest!
I'm sure things have progressed since this was taped, but I would keep trying a few more blabla cars and get another 10 hours closer to the bolivia border before trying to find a truck. There just aren't going to be many of them. Second, have uber or even a blabla car drop you off at a proper truck gas station, not some downtown gas station! You need a place that has super cheap food and lots of space for the truckers to stop at. And as a final bonus -- Gas price are a lot cheaper in Bolivia, to the point that people smuggle it into Brazil. Hence those truckers are going to be fully laden with fuel if they're coming in from Bolivia and most likely have enough to get OUT of Brazil before ever filling up.

One way to find translations is to search the word and wikipedia and change the language once you get there. The answer is: Theobroma grandiflorum, commonly known as cupuaçu, also spelled cupuassu, cupuazú, cupu assu, or copoazu, is a tropical rainforest tree related to cacao.
Deus abençoe vocês!!! Pati querida e companheira. É mais fácil você comprar um carro usado no Brasil e seguir viagem, sai mais barato, do que todos esses custos e transtornos, que você está tendo que passar. Bom caminho!!! Vai dar tudo certo!!! 🙏🐶❤️
This trip brought back many memories of when I lived in Presidente Prudente-SP. If I still lived there, I would definitely go and get you, heheh, hugs and have a good trip!
But yeah, Cupuaçu is a fruit of sort. In some regions it is common to get a drink like açaí but made from that. It's also somewhat common to see those mixed together. As for açaí, pro tip is to try to find a place that does the drink insted of the ice cream, its like, 500% better tasting. Back in my hometown we would have a thing called "tribomba" that would be açaí, cupuaçu and guaraná mixed together, its a more sour tasting açaí drink, but I swear it is worth it.
Bro, I am praying for you. As a Brazilian, I think you are risking too much. There is still time to go to Sao Paulo and get a car from there, try to stay in more developed areas of the country
Why don't you write a sign "To Bolovia" or "To Peru" and put it in the in or out of the station ... That's how in Argentina do ... and so cars or truck stop 🤞🏻
A little tip, a piece of cardboard White where you want to go, sit near the exit towards the highway, so both People exiting the gás station and the drivers can see. Worked for me alot
Carona no Brasil é difícil e com a cachorra pior ainda, acho que vç tem que chegar a Campo Grande de outra maneira, espero que alguém veja seus vídeos e te ajude.
Patti must think that Ryan came from far away to look for her in Bolivia, because the vision back never comes! 🤣 and it really came.....from the other side of the world! 😎💚🙏🇧🇷🇭🇲
What a journey, my friend! I started watching you, and it gives me so much anxiety seeing all your adventures here in Brazil. I'm from Cuiabá, in the state of Mato Grosso, and I would never do many of the things you do hahaha. But I really hope your trip is safe, fun, and with fewer problems hahaha!
You missed the opportunity to take a bus directly to Lima called TransAcreana, it's the longest bus route on the world and it goes from Rio - São Paulo - Lima, it has air conditioning, wifi, and actually very comfortable, only downside is that it's a 6 days ride
My wife and I were watching your video, and she kept saying, ‘I really feel sorry for him.’ At times, we got tense watching you tackle things we, as Brazilians, would never trust ourselves to do. I just hope you and Patti make it safely to Peru.

You're right to look for a jackpot that can take you all the way there. You're about to enter a remote area of Brazil. It'll be hard to find a ride as people may be concerned about strangers. I'm sure you are probably far by now but watch out. It's not uncommon to hear about people getting on a ride just to be robbed and left in the middle of nowhere.
in Brazil you can rent a car in one city and return it in another, in this case you could have picked it up in São Paulo and returned it in Campo Grande or Corumbá

You be careful too there are dangerous people out there. We never know.
Dude, if I were you, I would take this trip without Patty straight to Peru, you would spend the same or less.I know you want Miss Patty with you all the time, but besides being stressful for you, it's also stressful for her, you could have left her in a pet hotel, In São Paulo there are several, and most of them have live cameras 24 hours a day or the monitors send update videos at least 3 times a day, with it would be even easier to find a ride through blablacar, or you could take a plane straight to Peru and come back alone with the Tuk Tuk, straight away just stopping to eat and rest, but since you are already in the middle of way, I hope everything goes well with the trip, may God guide and protect you!
Keep pushing on, but it’s like these interruptions and challenges are a sign. You’ll be heading into more dangerous parts once you get moving on again. Good luck as always.
