@@dark_nightwing_xl2797 Amy, cream and tails went immediately straight up to sonic at realizing he was still alright after using the chaos emeralds. Knuckles literally appears at the end when all of his friends left the place.
Yep it's never outright confirmed in game. In outside material they confirm it by in the game itself, it's just hinted at with his appearance and the ending.

Sonamy isn’t so bad when written right. I agree her dialogue is cringe in some of the older games like this. I liked her and thought they were cute in sonic x.
