    Fabulous, what a wonderful analogy and skillful, clear and smooth presentation. I appreciate these take a lot of work to do and edit! Bravo!

    3 minutes in and find me wondering how disintegration differs from maturation. Maturation happens with or without OEs, but don't have my wee mind wrapped around similarities and differences.

      I would say that maturation doesn’t necessarily involve the falling apart of values which we find in disintegration.
      That would be my initial thought. Maturing involves growing but not necessarily falling apart…

      @@adultswithoverexcitabiliti3367 A mature a-hole is still an a-hole, I guess. Question: I believe a thrust of positive disintegration is the people that go through it have more potential. Whay is that potential to you?

      @@Danimal1965 Dabrowski was talking about developmental potential- which is a higher likelihood to experience disintegration/s, survive through, and develop their authenticity in the process.

    So , and Of course correct me if I’m wrong and of course coming from nowhere and not being an expert either, and only wishing to understand better and contribute and collaborate, this is a theory that explain in a positive light, if we can call it positive versus negative, dynamics from the human mind, soul, heart, psyche, journey where a lot of psychology and psychiatry oriented fields have targeted it as a To be medicated movement/dynamic ?!

      Dabrowski was ahead of his time when he suggested that a lot of what we feel was not poor mental health, but the dynamisms that help us develop our authenticity.

    Wait so positive disintegration only occurs when we ascend from lvl 3 to 4?

    • @adultswithoverexcitabiliti3367
      @adultswithoverexcitabiliti3367  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Disintegration happens at levels 2, 3 and 4, but when you start moving into 4, it becomes “organised” disintegration. So this is where you start ACTING on the “higher” and “lower” and actively start taking control of your personality development. Hope this makes sense 💕

      @@adultswithoverexcitabiliti3367 so we disintegrate into level 2 and once we reach 3 and move further on to 4, then it's called positive, right?

      @@777gnom as long as your movement is towards personality growth, it is positive. So moving from 2 to 3 is still positive. “Positive” and “negative” refer to the directions you are moving in, and can apply to any level.
