    How often would y’all want to see updates on the truck? I have tons of stuff going on the build in the next few months. Tons of camping content about to be filmed as well.

    Looking for more info on the holster mount. I found the multi-mount panel, but not sure what other components for the holster mount. I have either a Sig P365 or an XDM Elite OSP 10mm in the truck. Love your build so far!

    I’ve got a Ram Power Wagon and have the same sort of issues on concrete interstate (we have some in Ga). Maybe a rear trackbar would fix that issue? I’m planning to do a Thuren for my truck as I’ve read they’re better than what comes from the factory.
    Love seeing full size overland builds.
    Also, glad you mentioned the Küat rack. I had no idea they started making those and it’s now what I’m most interested in for a bed rack. I was looking at xtrusion overland but Küat’s product looks much, much cleaner. I thought it was a Leitner designs rack when I first saw it on your truck.

      You are correct add The rear swaybar will help the problem drastically.

      The only real downside to the list is that the crossbars are wide. I’m running into an issue right now finding a bracket for my tent. It’s really more of an issue with my tent having weird brackets and not fitting this wide rack crossbar. Once I get it solved it’ll be a great rack though.

      Yeah the lift I put on yesterday brought a lot of the bed bounce down, just need to get it down a bit more and I’d be happy with it.

    Bed bounce sounds like it might be your tires . My front vibrates with BFGs (first set) and never did it with nitto trail grapplers .. I went through two sets of them and drive smooth from south Texas to all over Colorado.

      I wish it was that simple; it’s gotten better since I switch to my new ridge grapplers but only a slight improvement. It went from unbearable to bearable but still noticeable. When I switched tires I also got a lift and went from stock to 35s so I think that may have helped as well.

    If you add the factory TRD rear sway bar with the factory suspension the bed shake will go away. I have two tundras I have done this to. One tundra I added a fiberglass topper. With a reinforced roof for a rooftop tent.

      I’ll have to look into that because someone in the forums said it made it worse. I have heard more people tell me what you said than that one person on the forums though.

      I am only trying to help you this comes from personal experience on my own vehicles not bullshit. I personally love the tundra I am never getting rid of mine. I have owned all the others makes in the half ton version for company trucks so I know what I’m talking about. My personal favorite is my 1794 with the Trd off-road package. Mine is a 2017 and it is my favorite year because it still came with the transmission cooler and grease fittings on the driveshaft. After 2017 Grease fittings went away the skid plates got thinner the transmission coolers went away but you got more electronics. So my 2021 tundra I had to add a lot to it but I still love it.

      @@stevenlefebvre2991 yeah more people agree with you from what I’ve seen. I’ll see if I can find one out there for sale. I have a lift now so it has gotten way better. I’m down to eliminate all of it if possible by any means.

      @@OXFOOT I drive the 2017 tundra and my wife drives the 2021 tundra and we both love them and we would drive nothing else. You fall in love with them overtime. With good maintenance these vehicles are amazing. We also share a Trd off-road 4Runner 2018 Yes you can see I have a cool wife. And she helps me keep them maintained.

      Yeah I’ll have that soon. The lights I’ve already filmed but I’m trying to come up with a harness to make the left and right ditch lights fire in separate buttons. That way on the highway I can still have the right light on looking out for deer.

      If I could find a reasonably priced FJ I’d buy one. That was the first car that peaked my interest in Toyotas originally. I may get one at some point in the future.

    I run a fiberglass leer topper with 150 lb tent with no issues for 15,000 miles and lots of off-road

      Yeah I think k a lot of the fiberglass hate is unfounded. Most people are fine with regular fiberglass and offroading. Just to be safe I’m going to with extra rigidity. I’ll have a video on fiberglass toppers and how they’re underrated soon.

      I don’t hate it as much as I used to. It’ll be back in style soon as trends are cyclical. On tan though I think you kind of have to go black but maybe if I saw it more in chrome I’d like it.

      ​@OXFOOT I have a tan/gold 08 crew cab super duty and it has some chrome on it and I love it. I've never not liked chrome as long as it's done well and in good taste and I also like black and color match also. Just depends on what you like as an individual tho

    I have about 15k miles on my (secondhand) 2018 tundra CM 4x4. It has had the red TRD rear sway bar since the day I got it and I've never experienced anything like that on any road surface at any speed. I would assume your shocks or tires need replacement before anything, but that's just my gut. The C channel frame on these trucks is really flexy. You can see it especially when someone is wheelin a tundra and the wheels are slipping on rock feature or something. The whole truck frame starts vibrating. The new Tundras with the TNGAF frame are supposed to be a lot more rigid. So maybe it's a combination of those roads you drive on, plus the stock suspension, and a frame that wants to flex.       Yeah it’s a resonance thing I’ve come to realize. Only happens from 55 to 68mph on those roads. I’ve gotten a new lift since this video and it still does it to a lesser extent. New suspension going on in a few weeks again so we will see if that does anything. If I can get the sway bar on the double cab I may try that also.

      The forums seem to say there’s some sort of shackle attachment that goes on the leafs that fixes it but I’ll have to dig in further. For now I just go 70mph and it goes away.

    Wasn’t aware of the fiberglass weight issues. My leer is rated 600lbs on the aero blades. Supports a rooftop tent no problems. Topper ez lift lifts/supports 900lbs so it lifts topper w/ rtt and can be slept in when up.
    I broke a step and removed them all together off frontier they look stupid and significantly lowered clearance. The bars the steps were attached to aren’t sliders, but have already saved doors on truck. Interested to see company you may work with and whether they are just Toyota products or make sliders for other trucks!

      Yeah I think the “fiberglass campers can’t hold much weight” is a myth for the most part. Idk how many times I’ve had that argument when I tell people I’m getting a fiberglass topper. That being said they do a bit more fiberglass filling to increase the weight capacity. It does increase the weight as well, but I’ll take it.

      I’m between two companies right now with the bumper/slider/armor but both work with other truck/SUV brands. I’ll just have to pick which one very soon.

    Noticed the bed bounce also going from rear coil spring suspension SUV to a leaf spring pickup. Brand new truck, bed bounced. Added lift/tires (full rear leafs and shocks) bed bounce. Added 300lb static weight, bed bounce. Up to 500lb static weight, bed bounce. I have a rear sway bar. It’s really annoying. Good luck solving it.

    I’ve never seen bed bounce on my truck… I have a 18 tundra crewmax though… I have absolutely no issues on it brother. Super crazy seeing your bed vibrate in the rear view. Holy hell… my girl is coming up on 28k miles… I’ve owned the truck for 2 years and I bought it with 17k miles 😍. I get 12-18mpg depending on how heavy my crocs are that day 😇😅 bro I’m loving these upgrades on the tundra. Wow man. Now I want to switch my stock led fogs out 😂 as well as those 2 bangers… I’d want all amber though. I need to check out morimoto. Been watching you a while now and I definitely trust your opinion

      Yeah I’ve heard a ton of folks, not just tundra owners, say they have the same issue since I’ve brought it up. Do you not live near where they put out the concrete squares for road? You’re lucky if not, Colorado is the laziest and instead of fixing the roads they just put concrete rectangles down and the reverberation makes trucks do that. 99% of roads my truck is fine but the second I hit i285 from 55-68mph it’s doing that. Anything less or more and I’m fine.

      Headlight revolution on TH-cam has some great tests on the morimoto lights. They’ve basically convinced me how much brighter morimoto is than the competition.

    My wife has a Colorado ZR2 and the bounce wasn't too bad at first, but the strange thing is we added a Decked drawer system, topper and RTT and it's terrible. As you indicated, on asphalt, it's not too bad, but going down 285 (you know that highway) it's unbearable. I'm curious to hear how yours get solved.

      285 is the highway that causes it for me too. That and that strip of road right near the speedway leading up to 285. Sometimes between castle rock and springs is bad too.

      Do you live in Colorado or Utah? These are the biggest places for these types of roads. It’s only certain roads. It’s very common in all trucks here in western states. Pretty much a fact of life I’ve learned.

    3rd tundra , all 5.7 ,2007,2010,2018. first 2 trd d cab, 3rd is cmax 4wd. no bed bounce.

      It’s all over the forums that people experience it for some reason. It’s only certain roads only also. 90% of roads I drive on I don’t experience it but when I get on blocked concrete roads it goes crazy.

      @@FiveOenduro Yeah the forums said the crewmax was worse but everyone had very different experiences. Some people had very little bed bounce in all of them and some had more in some that others had none.

      Yeah I’ve noticed that under 55 and over 70 it gets pretty much rid of the bounce but yeah anything in between there is brutal.

      Never owned a bobber but a few Harleys, a sport bike and no doubt it’s worse. Especially in Colorado for some reason. Back in the East coast it was smooth riding most of the time even on concrete.

      I have a tundra just like yours and there are concrete ribs like that going south from Tacoma WA and my bed never did that. that is weird. Maybe its that perfect frequency.@@OXFOOT

    For what it is worth, I live in So. Cal. and the freeways are just awful. The concrete sections feel like they are imbricated and every vehicle I have driven bounces badly on those sections. The worst was my old BMW 2002 Tii. My 2008 Tundra CrewMax TRD Offroad actually was not as bad as other vehicles I have driven. Adding a shell and a bit of weight in the bed helped. The least offensive is my wife's Porsche Macan and my Land Cruiser. My 4Runner was about average. My other cars would bounce all over the place, particularly the '78 CJ7. The women folk needed serious sports bras to ride in that thing on the local freeways.

    Wow my bed bounce is not nearly that bad, actually it’s not even noticeable. It may be because I have the shorter bed. I know other people have mentioned the same issue

      @@OXFOOT really it’s just a truck thing. My raptor was absolutely terrible with it. Weight should help, so if you get the canopy that will help a lot. BTW super chargers on these trucks are awesome
