I'll take you through the key features for spending, budgeting and saving that make it one of the best current accounts, but also share a few areas where it could cause concern.

The only reason I’m considering joining Monzo is for the budgeting side, for stuff like holidays; business; government docs; cars etc etc. The bank I’m currently at only allows you to open one savings account as well as your primary account, but it doesn’t give you any of the pots-like features that would allow me to separate my savings into sections.
It's a great feature - though you do end up losing interest as none of the pots pay this. You could look at Virgin Money's M Plus account as the attached savings accounts can be split in to pots and will pay 0.35%. Not great but better than nothing!

Great video - very quick and easy to open and card came next day. Really impressed with that.
If Starling improved its user interface and presentation and made it more like Monzo's it would win hands down. I feel like that's the main thing holding Starling back.

@@smoothie9931 yeah I get what you mean. I don’t feel like Monzo is a bank to be taken seriously. Where’s Starling feels more professional. I actually agree with you. Perhaps I meant to say If Starling could implement some of the budgetary illustrations like how much money left for the pay period and improve their initial presentation on the Home Screen it would be better. When I look at it, it just seems a bit if a mess and it takes slightly longer to decipher than that of Monzos
@@admstephens understandable... Starling UI is nice I guess, but the menus are really strange, different submenus that all lead to the same places and things like that. Would also be nice if you could pick a theme, while navy and green is okay, it does look a bit weird.
I know with banks like Natwest you can change the app themes around a little, this would be nice for monzo and starling.
(Also, just looking at other vids on these two banks, looks like Starling is starting to go really woke and starting some sort of equality stuff on instagram, I know that will put a lot off too, not sticking to their lane, so to speak)

Iam a computer guy so I love my PC so this is a deal breaker for me I like desktop and Mobile because my PC is where I manage my affairs I am gonna apply for starling for sure .

I’m loving Monzo and have upgraded to plus. My only issue is you are not able to name a virtual card in Apple Pay, you have to remember what colour you have assigned. Gets confusing when you have multiple virtual cards. If you could name them in AP, then I would probably make it my main account

Monzo so far is good. I join 2 days ago and am saving Rainy day money for 7 years. I will see how much can make in that time. The card came fast just 2 days wait.
And also off licenses charges themselfs with not clear rules. In the place I went they charge 1 pouds for every 100. I could find people try to complain to Monzo and they haven't got any solution.

I’m new one in this banking app but I’m still confuse about deposits limit on monthly basis . I’m not getting 1000 limit in 180 days mean ? Then one month limit is 270 to deposit ? This is low limit

I need Monzo to create an iPad app. Then it would be close to perfect as far as I'm concerned.

I live in uk and have a holiday home in Eire ie eu….would it be possible to set up on Monzo a direct debit to pay for my Eire electric bill and if so would it come at a cost .. THANKYOU
Yes if it's possible it will cost you as it's only debit card payments that are fee free.
I have Monzo for the pots never use it for cash transactions
Please can you let me know how I can only use it for the pots? As this is the only reason why I want a monzo account...but I don’t want to close my main high street bank account or have two accounts to manage! Thank you for any reply

Yep!
Does it work on any atm machine to withdraw a money?.
Yes! Though watch out for the limits on cash withdrawals. It's fine for occasional use, but if you do this often you'll want to have a different account or meet the other criteria for unlimited cash machine use.

Can I use direct debit from HSBC without online banking I would set one up but it takes forever
Tried to open two accounts with Monzo, the app failed many time in less than a week, they failed to send funds to a UK company, not worth considering.

Going purely online for money is a bad idea.
Banks should give the user freedom of choice to use both online banking and cash.
Just get Revolut and Wise... They make Monzo look like a dyslexic child

Useless review. Why don't you explain why there are no customer care operatives at Monzo any more. Impossible to get through to a human being when you have a serious problem. Even the in-app chat is taking up to 8 hours to respond. Worst "bank" ever!
