Following the first segment uploaded a few days ago (th-cam.com/video/6a-8QJRM84U/w-d-xo.html), here's the second part of the most iconic moments related to Kingdom Hearts Timeline. The 358/2 Days part was the most successful and the most loved feature of this project. Making such a huge thing was never in my plans when I started recording back in April 2018, but one idea leads to another and when you happen to get in touch with people just as crazy as you... you end up working on an extremely convincing simulation of an HD version of Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days. Probably the thing I'm proud about the most is how actually convincing the gameplay turned out to be, following most of the original DS version features. All of the overlaying graphics was hand added and constantly edited according to what was happening during gameplay... like, everytime I used a magic or an item with Roxas or Xion, I had to manually change the command menu with separate pictures. It turned out so convincing that I myself got almost convinced the command menu was actually part of the game. If you're curious about how I exactly made all of this, check the description for any Timeline video related to the Days part. The bits I put together in this video are the ones that required tons of hours of editing, or those having some personal music choices which made some episodes unique, or simply parts I wanted you to remember again. As you can imagine, when playing the Keyblade Graveyard part of KH3 it gave me an extremely powerful feeling after what I did for Roxas and Xion for this project. My love for this saga reached its peak when I (almost unintentionally) ended up doing such a massive work for a title that sure, I did like when playing the DS version, but that it ended up having a special spot in my heart. I still can't believe you actually played as Roxas with that iconic stick. The 358/2 Days section of the Timeline was definitely the highlight of the series. It truly displayed your ambition and dedication to the series and it was worth it.
@@alessandrobozzi7085 Hokkaido Artists' Network and Development (H.A.N.D.) were the ones who worked on Days and Re:Coded while Square Enix's Osaka Staff worked on BbS and DDD respectively. The series' C Team stuck working on DS hardware did better movement and combat than the former B Team. (who are now the A Team since the Tokyo Staff was put to work on other shit like 7R)
358/2 days should get a remake to play, really. But finally the seesalt trio is reunited. I started crying, when Sora said "It's alright. Xion." that was too hard for my heart.
I think all of 358/2 Days should be in this video because oh my god, it was hands down the best part of the timeline and I didn’t think Days could do some justice until you did this project.
Oh my gosh Square please hire this man that did the 358 remake. I don't care if the game has the same levelling and such mechanics as the original. A HD remaster would do the game so much justice for such an underrated entry.
You seem to have failed to mention that the keyblades also changed when that happened, going from the "Kingdom Key" and "Way to the Dawn", to "Oathkeeper" and "Oblivion".
That Axel vs Xion fight sequence was emotionally heartbreaking. I have always loved the buddy Axel & Roxas combo attack in part 82, it was a spicily badass.

Only to turn back to Sora, with Oathkeeper and Oblivion still in hand, man that shits awesome! I love that Sora and Riku both use Oathkeeper to deliver the final beam to Xemnas, since it was originally the Keyblade Sora got from Kairi in KH1. It's kinda like each member of the Destiny Trio participated in the final fight. Also: 29:55: That edit never fails to give me chills lol
It's called diving into the hearts soras been there for Ventura, Roxas, Xion, Lea/Axel, Riku, Kairi, Namine, Terra and Aqua and even Isa/Saix after the keyblade war 2 in the keyblade graveyard as long as they remain in each other's hearts not even death can't ripp it apart weather or not it does it's part
Guys I love Everglows work and he deserves nothing but the best for all the effort he and his team did to bring these moments in a new light but don't go turning on Square Enix and bashing them for not giving a 358 remake or not making every game a KH2 clone. They're still the ones who created the game and made this timeline possible. So share the love for all.
My love for the Seasalt Trio aside, the Days part really was my favorite thing in the whole timeline, simply because of all the great work you and your friends put into it. I always got so excited for every new episode and it made me more cry than the original thing. xD I agree to you that the Gameplay for it was so convincing, it made my wish for a Days Remake even greater. The 358/2 section was easily my favorite of the timeline. So much effort was placed in this section to show it's impact on the rest of the timeline. It made the reunion in KH III all the more heartwarming honestly.

From what he's told us, it's not a complete conversion. From my understanding, they hacked in a lot of elements by re-purposing elements in KH2 and added the menus, information bar, and voice clips through editing. At most, there would be maybe a few scenarios cobbled together as they were in the timeline, just without the editing and all separate.
@@Meepmeep189 yeah, every enemy encounter for example was basically hand picked, manually placed in as required, and so forth. there's no real "world" to explore, nothing actually stringing the scenarios together
I liked how used ‘Let darkness assemble’ from the world tour orchestra for the beginning of the Xemnas fight and then merged it with darkness of the unknown. Nice touch

When this vid popped up in the suggestions, I see 'TIMELINE' in the title and think "so it's basically a recap of past KH games; nothing new". By chance, I subsequently happen to spot 'Iconic' and my interest is slightly piqued, wondering "which moments from KH does this guy consider to be iconic", expecting said-moments to just be cutscenes taken straight from past KH games. What I did *NOT* expect was to see gameplay from 358/2 Days (which happens to be my second favorite KH game, btw) looking so _smooth_ and *refined,* as though my wish to see 358/2 Days being remade for the PS4 has came true...! And the cutscenes themselves (namely at 1:21, 4:15, 24:43, and *ESPECIALLY* 18:36) are just so _beautiful,_ so _stunning,_ so _EMOTIONAL,_ edited in such a manner that adds even *more* depth and meaning by reminding us that these scenes are all part of something truly GRAND!!!! Just _how_ are you such a MASTER at this that you've garnered my undying admiration within _minutes?!_ Whatever the case, thank you! The KH fandom is blessed to have someone like you!!!

Aaah, the 358/2 Days moments are so good! But I loved other highlights too. Like Terra’s flashbacks to Destiny Islands. And Sora and Riku’s Keyblades changing to Oathkeeper and Oblivion for the final attack.
Honestly? When getting to that final part of Kingdom Hearts 3, despite it being officially made content It felt /exactly/ like your project, or like modded fights It felt as if everything we've dreamed of just kind of came to be. Even character's movesets seemed like it. This was and is, a very special and important project.
Wait did they remaster 358 gameplay for the “The Story Till Now” release or something? Or am I missing something here? Cause last time I checked, they just remastered the cutscenes. I liked how used ‘Let darkness assemble’ from the world tour orchestra for the beginning of the Xemnas fight and then merged it with darkness of the unknown. Nice touch

I always loved the orchestral version of Vector to the Heavens. I found something about it soothing and I always fin myself listening to it to clear my head. I love your choice in music because it combos with what's going on so well

When this vid popped up in the suggestions, I see 'TIMELINE' in the title and think "so it's basically a recap of past KH games; nothing new".
By chance, I subsequently happen to spot 'Iconic' and my interest is slightly piqued, wondering "which moments from KH does this guy consider to be iconic", expecting said-moments to just be cutscenes taken straight from past KH games.
What I did *NOT* expect was to see gameplay from 358/2 Days (which happens to be my second favorite KH game, btw) looking so _smooth_ and *refined,* as though my wish to see 358/2 Days being remade for the PS4 has came true...!
And the cutscenes themselves (namely at 1:21, 4:15, 24:43, and *ESPECIALLY* 18:36) are just so _beautiful,_ so _stunning,_ so _EMOTIONAL,_ edited in such a manner that adds even *more* depth and meaning by reminding us that these scenes are all part of something truly GRAND!!!!
Just _how_ are you such a MASTER at this that you've garnered my undying admiration within _minutes?!_

Aaah, the 358/2 Days moments are so good! But I loved other highlights too. Like Terra’s flashbacks to Destiny Islands. And Sora and Riku’s Keyblades changing to Oathkeeper and Oblivion for the final attack.

It felt as if everything we've dreamed of just kind of came to be.
Even character's movesets seemed like it.

Fool did you hear what axel told Roxas & Xion not all things last forever!!! It was probably because of khowing he lost a friend like Isa/Saix a couple of times before & after being a nobody. Watch the flashbacks he didn't want to ruin the moment he got to attached to Xion & Roxas.
