      I got discharged in 1991 for what I'm getting treated for and now rated 100 percent due to same issues I'm trying to get earlier effective date to time of discharged! I'm told 26 yrs later that I was approved back in 1991 and I wasn't notified til 2015 til when I was encouraged by other veterans to go un and try again

    My appeal status changed to "
    A judge is reviewing your appeal" and has "Decision soon" under it, any experience with that?

    So in the decision that is issued remanded. Does the decision actually say the word remanded. So the claimant understands it’s not necessarily a bad thing?

    • @CCK_Law
      @CCK_Law  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Laurie Grivel, thanks for tuning in! Board decisions will clearly state that an issue (or issues) has been remanded. If an issue has been remanded, the Board decision will include a section listing the remand instructions that the Regional Office must follow. We hope this helps, and that you found this video useful!

      I have been waiting for a desicion on a earlier effective date ptsd and insted of seding me the two years that they owned me they send me only 1/2 of a month retroactive , thats no joke ..They make many mistakes and that is the way they teat a War veteran after all. They still owned me from 1993 to 1991 . I summited the appeal in 2012 that is what they did.

  • @arneldelara7164

    I received a letter stating that the Regional Office Director is returning my appeal to BVA. Sounds like my appeal had been to BVA, went to ROD, and going back to BVA. Is that a good or a bad sign? Thank you.

    Estimated, about How long after a BVA hearing is a decision made?

    • @CCK_Law
      @CCK_Law  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Unfortunately, there is no set time frame that BVA must operate on. Decision times can vary case-by-case. We wish we could give more info. Best of luck on your claim!

      Do you think with the shutdowns from the Corona virus that decisions will take even longer?

    • @CCK_Law
      @CCK_Law  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@laylow9652 As far as we have heard from VA, they are operating at normal capacity so decisions should not take longer than they usually would. We'll certainly be keeping an eye on this!

      Another question, I've been following a page on Facebook to initiate Apportionment on VA benefits to prevent child support payments from being taken. I personally have trouble understanding all the legal jargon and what exactly the initiation is for. Are you up to speed on that or familiar with it? The page is called Disabled vet child support info
