The older I get, the more I realize how fortunate I was to grow up in such a wonderful musical age. Santana, Steely Dan, Boz just to name a few and so many more, provided us with timeless music that just gets better with age. Like fine wine. Thank you all! Lowdown is a great R&B tune with soul. Love, Look What You've Done To Me is beautiful. Also love Boz, Donald and Michaels work with Dukes of September. Great band!
Great interview. Very dynamic, and covers an awful lot of ground. I have been privileged to be able to see and hear him perform over the years many times, both as an individual, with Michael McDonald and also as a member of the Dukes Of September. Every show has been a treasure trove of great songs, great musicianship and very joyful entertainment. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, Boz, for providing the soundtrack for a great life. I wish you many more years of health and productive writing and playing and singing. You are a national treasure...
I love your voice. Voice is my favorite instrument. I always listen for the great artful voices. And I think of the albums I’ve heard, Dig is my favorite. It’s so heartfelt and the other instruments don’t play over you. Of course your other albums are great too.
Fantastic interview, lerning that he use his vocals as one instrument, make me think thats why he is so good, his deep approach to the blues and roots music, I have to think of my Impression I had when I discovered Geoff Muldaur, two similar characters in the way they respect the music that surrounds them.. Thanks so much
Memphis is such a great piece of work. Corrina Corrina is a beauty, Sunny Gone, Rainy Night in Georgia...hope Boz plays one of these on his 2023 tour. (Boz sang a rainy Night in Georgia a few years back, you could hear a pin drop in the venue-so easy to hang onto his every word)
Damn we are all getting old. First laid eyes on this man when I was 15 on a local TV show. Then saw him live a few months later at Fillmore West. Saw him many times after in my teens and 20s. Years later my Best Friend had a fling with him while I was out of the country. I felt so betrayed! Lol!
I had to rethink the aspect of talking or just listing to a close friend of mine brought back memories of a first conversation at a past jazz fest in new orleans not really knowing what to say but to listen and than felling ok with talking to the guys you go beyand idol worship to a conversation with friends and heart and soul feelings to come out. enjoyed it....memberbaliztic for sure...
Alabama is an amazing state very smart engineers... lived there for nine years of my life …. Soul show s up embraced from where ever it comes around the world … llove Alabama for that ..
William just want to say Thank you. am 52 and was permitted to go to your Concert in Auckland, NZ where you gave James Reyne as supporting act. I don't know how many weeks I was allowed to stay up in the hope of seeing you on RADIO WITH PICTURES! (still have your concert ticket. - how much smoking has changed. o
Holy Jesus. Why was this so paralyzingly dull? Torturous. And I blame the interviewer. If you know Skaggs is such a lousy interview Speed it up or make this a private evening between friends. Mind boggling. There was a live audience at the end of this? I don't believe it.
Saw Boz Scaggs in Houston 2 months ago. He's not that good looking man from the eighties but the voice is still there. Great concert!!. Never thought I would ever see him!
I just come across this...Boz you are very eloquent in interviews. I wish you would do more.🥂
SO WONDERFUL. JUST WHAT I WANTED TO KNOW IN MY DISCOVERY OF BOZ. WHAT A TALENT. LOVE HIS MUSIC.
Boz is a very talented musican and appears to be a level headed / intelligent man as well. Outstanding sound.

Sexy confident sage that continues to get better every year. At 78 now he is still top of the game.
Great album . . great artist . . great career . . and seemingly a really good person. His music is second to none in my opinion.

What great talent Boz you should be in the holl of fame
One has to respect that Boz enjoyed the journey.
This was terrific. Sounds like he’s as down to earth & nice as he is talented.
Love the music Boz, Thank you .
wonderful interview. Privleged to be in the music world with Mr. Scaggs. Love him... so humble.
Boz is a treasure house of American music history of this era, late-1960’s and 1970’s. He’s southern blues and west coast cool mixed just right.

WHAT ! Are you saying your bf and Boz were gay together ?
@@pheephee1712 Best Friend, not Boy Friend. Lol! Maybe I should change that. I changed it!

I find him very attractive. To each his own.
@@HBJAN98 don't get me wrong. He is still a good-looking older man. Just not that good looking " Hunk" from the 80s.
