hey man is worth is take clear cold air out side and not inside by engine hot air different we see a lot not only sound is amazing thanks for shared with us.
Great stuff, I like it.... I'm considering an Eventuri CAI so this Vid was informative for me also. Downpipe and custom remap should give you a whole new hair do 👀👍🏼
AWE makes a much better intake and it’s 4 1/2 also get the carbon fiber cover for the coolant tank plus carbon cover for the master cylinder and carbon piece where the hood latch is👍
Can you make video of comparing Brian's car CTS air intake and your new intake. I wonder which one sounds more aggressive... which one have more turbo spooling and waste gate flutter noise?
@@frax77 can you get feed back from Brian regarding intake if he is satisfied with CTS on your video when you make it.. only reason i am interested in CTS intake is because of more aggressive noise
@@TaimurBaig87 hey mate sorry it took so long but work has been keeping me busy! I’m very happy with my choice when I bought the CTS! Just make sure you get the 8 ince intake pipe and not the smaller one! Alex is the perfect friend as we love the same cars but our taste is well let’s call it I’m the rougher version of Alex lol help me out here Alex! Don’t get me wrong absolutely love the carbon look in the engine bay but I love opening up the bonnet and all you see is intake! Induction sound is amazing and with the Turbosmart duel port BOV and the larger turbo intake you have loads of boost noise and intake noise!
Have you ever had issues with you RS3 overheating. I don't yet but mine is no technology package so no virtual cockpit. There is no temp gauge in the cluster but there is boost lol. You can scroll through the little onboard computer pages and see a temp which im guessing is coolant temp. I just don't know what normal operating temp is for the car. It rarely goes over 200 degrees fahrenheit unless im really mashing on it.
No issue with overheating. These platforms sre pretty stable when it comes to that with exception of the water pump, worth keeping an eye on. Mine sits at 90°C which is roughly 200F so you are fine 👍
Hi. Got a RS3 myself. But my biggest concerning question is, are you going to revert and re-install the stock intake system when you have to take your car in for a service? Thanks
Good question mate. Since my services are done by an independent specialist I don't remove it....I trust him with my car. However, if the car goes back to Audi for warranty work, then I switch back to stock intake. Once you've done it a few times, you can do it in about 15 minutes 😊
@@frax77 sounds good mate. 👍I appreciate your response. I was thinking along the same lines as well as I have a mate who used to work for Audi but now has his own workshop
No ECU tuning required for this mod mate. Changing air filters doesn't upset the car. 👍 Once you change the down pipe of the exhaust, then you will need a tune, otherwise your O2 sensor will throw an error. Hope that helps.
You should have linked to the products you used
That looks amazing. Great video again Alex. I'll be dropping in to see that carbon fibre in person!
Brian loves heat soak 👍🏻

Great choices mate. The CF parts give the engine bay a really clean look and a wow when you pop the lid.
Cheers mate, glad you like it 😁
Thanks for the video. Marvelous

Brian and I will be doing another install in the next month or so, so we will be sure to do some comparisons for you 👍

It's called a velocity stack Alex. Love the carbon, can never have too much. Now are you going to ceramic coat them?
That's the one! Could not for the life of me remember haha, cheers.
Great informative video thank you for the effort put into making this happen ✌️
Appreciated 🙏

What all was done to this car at the time of installation... Just intake??
Intake, engine cover, and fuse box cover was all that was done in this video. More install videos are on their way 😁

engine covers need to die. they are literally a second, useless, decorative bonnet under the actual bonnet
I agree but atleast these actually look good. Audi engines look horrible without the engine covers other than maybe the old 1.8
