  • Do you always have to go in to the job in-person or are there also Clinical Research Jobs that I can do from home virtual? Find out in this video exactly what proportion of Clinical Research Jobs are remote/virtual, what that really means for your day-to-day work life and how that will change depending on where you work.

    Hi, if u on a different country n u want to apply for a paid research assistant position like on Linkin, indeed etc..how does that work, do u hv to get yoself there n everything (flights, accommodation, when do they start paying u etc) cos u can imagine how challenging some of the things I mentioned may be if u from another country

      Hello, to my knowledge Canadian companies dont hire international candidates for clinical research jobs. Whenever i mention international , it is meant for either international students who are in Canada on a study permit, or people already here on a work permit or PR.

      Hello Anslin, that's a great question. The short answer is YES. In fact, I myself did my Bachelor's in Biotech and my master's in Microbiology & Immunology, and I am currently working in Clinical Research. I am providing links to two of my videos which can provide details about how to go about transitioning from the lab to the world of clinical research. Hope they are of help:

      @@thebrownfeministcanada Nurse Practitioners who move into clinical research, do you see the salaries are the same as when they worked in patient care?

    • @thebrownfeministcanada
      @thebrownfeministcanada  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@beenajacob586 Hi. I have not seen many NPs in clinical research. The few I saw were appointed into PI (principal investigator) positions. So their salary was structured very differently in clinical research. A lot of PI positions have a small salary, portions of it can come from research grants they win, some PIs teach and are affiliated with a university. So salary structures are different from full time clinical roles and can't really be compared head to head.
      But my experience is pure from academic and hospital RI settings. I'm sure in Pharma and industry it works differently. Although I believe NPs in clinical research have a lot more flexibility and work life balance.
