Another magical episode - thank you for taking so much of your time to edit and upload the videos, they make for enchanting viewing, assisted in no small amount by the choice of background music! Thank you.
Love Frankie running around in the beginning and Diogos big leap in front of the wheelbarrow 🥰 Well done on that rock wall Iwan- looking good! And that frittata looked delicious- going to have to try it. Much love guys:) Beautiful moon shots and those olive leaves🤩
You both work so hard to make a lovely place to live. So calming and relaxing to watch. And Diogo and Frankie are so funny. Thanks again for the wonderful video. 😊
I love how you show the real life reality of the amount of time needed learning to do a project offgrid...as opposed to an instagram/utube perfect cut for viewers.Well done to you both.We built a dry stone wall on our property in the west of ireland from stones on the land..feel your pain trying to find the right ston.Well done to you both❤❤❤
Diogo was the star of the show last week but he has excelled himself yet again! What extraordinary speed he runs at, he is super impressive! (2:15 ish) And also very obviously intelligent and happy - a great credit to you two. 20 pallets of "stuff"?! That's a heck if a lot - so I can't help speculating what it's for ... second story on the granite barn, as hinted at a week or so back?
He is quite an amazing dog 😊 I think you might have to find yourself a podenco too Neil! oh it’s 20 pallets, completely empty, it’s the pallets themselves we’ll be using :)
@@FrankieOffGrid Ahhh!😃😄😃 I got the wrong end of the stick with the pallets. I had to look up what a podenco was ... a Diogo! Another wrong, linked, assumption - I had guessed that 'Diogo" was Portuguese for 'dog' or 'doggy' but then watched Diogo J playing for Liverpool! What were his parents thinking, giving him the name 'Doggy"? Harsh. So I looked up "Diogo" ... oops - it is related to Diego/Jacob/James
I could just hear those hens thinking 🤔 those silly humans moving and collecting ROCKS 😂 and we trust them to take care of us lol 😂 , thank God Diogo and Frankie are on our team , the Animal Team that is 😁.
Really impressed with the well wall, you're learning as you go like we all do. Iwan chipping away at the rock with no eye protection - slap on the wrist for you. Diogo gave the pups a lesson in how to be a loony dog!! 😹 All the animals are so happy & well balanced, it's a delight to see them. Look forward to seeing next week's video. ❤🏴❤
Good morning, Carissa and Iwan. The wall around the well is looking great. Iwan, the fritatta that you made looked delicious. That was a BIG egg that you collected, Carissa. See you next week❤️❤️
I think they may have a rare Iberian Ostrich that hides next to olive trees and all they've seen are the legs because its body is hidden up in the foliage
Loved this week's video, dogs,😊 cats 😊 chickens 😊 and puppies 😊. Can't wait for the Clarissa breakdown on solar this will be extremely helpful for our off grid future property we are in South Wales so not as sunny as Portugal 😂. Currently building a gabion wall from stone on our land and a way of using up waste hard-core from our cottage renovation, we had to remove a lot of 80's remodeling to get back to the existing stone. The gabion wall is not as difficult as your stone wall😂 but looks like you are doing a sterling job. Loved the frittata recipe going to be giving that a try. Can't wait for more gardening, seed sewing tips too ❤
How wonderfully relaxing your videos are. Great job on the wall. You’re both becoming experts at working with sand and cement. The garden is looking beautiful. Although I cannot wait to see the final result of it all, the process is a joy to watch. Da Iawn chi ❤
What a nice video! Your Well Wall is looking very nice. I always smile to see your animals and to intermix with your friends puppies & dog was fun to watch! Thank You for Sharing~! 💛💚
The videos they make are very beautiful. The choice of music, the images that awaken the contemplative mood. It is very good to see them. Thank you so much!!! Hug. From Argentina
Those little nooks and crannies someone was pointing out would make beautiful crevices for small rock loving creeping greenery! Lunch looked delightful!
what a lovely video. Rock selection is important if you want it to stand for many years. all the animals are delightful and congrats to the big egg chicken, that's got to have hurt
An awesome bit of work - just remember to keep the cement moist so it doesn't dry out too fast - a great time of year to be doing it and it will make a massive difference in terms of water supply. The wall looks fantastic - you are doing a cracking job. It has been terrific weather - Lukes video of the guys we had building our stone gate may be useful - they were amazing over 100 years of building rock wall experience between them. We will be in touch about some work soon and it would be great to have you over fora meal.
so lovely to follow you, you have done a great job so far, and your lovely animals, how lucky for them to have that freedom, if we were younger we would have done the same. hope you have a great 2024❤ Pia from Sweden
How fun where those little doggies!!!! The well project is coming along nicely, it looks great. The intro with the frozen land looked amazing! Hope you guys are doing alright! Cheers Bert 🙏🏻❤
Do you have a 'stone-eye', my old neighbour asked me in his special dialect, when I was making a small stone retaining wall many years ago. Finding the right stones is what takes most of the time. You are doing good. It looks great already. Nice video!
Always a pleasure to watch! I was curious about the well and cover so I went back and watched your videos about the well cleaning and building the cover; very fascinating!
Really enjoying the music you have picked out to play. It isn’t over powering like on some channels. Have been with you since the beginning. Look forward to the next episode. Thank you for sharing.
I just adore your calm videos portraying your projects, but when you showed that giant humongous chicken egg, I was like OUCH! Poor chicken!😂 the well is looking beautiful, will you create a deck area with table and chairs on top and a sun screen or gazebo? I suspect it will be sturdy enough? Take care young ones, see ya next week, thank you for sharing❤
Wow the well is looking amazing! Love watching and learning from your channel over the years. By the time I get to Portugal I will have so much knowledge. Thank you for sharing. The dog forage is fabulous!
Hi You two!! I love the real simplicity and minimalism with which you live so organically. Stones, are the best therapists ever. One thing I cant help wondering is where Johan is from?
Iwan is really getting good with the stones around the well. One section there with some smaller rocks looked like a work of art. I guess it could be considered a work of art! lol. Put your initials on it somewhere. Get a paw print of the dogs and cats in some cement somewhere on the well. Will be a permanent memory for you. Be sure to put the date on it too! Just a thought! lol. Guess you could put your foot prints there also. lol👣😊👣. ❤️🙏🏼😎👋🏻🇨🇦🦫🫎
You’re such good company (virtuel), and I love your calm and soothing videos, but the Sound could be better with clip-on mics. Looking forward to next weekend. Greetings from Denmark.
Watching you two learn and conquer and progress together just makes me smile 😊. I've been wondering about the tabby kitty and was happy to see it again at the end of the video. What are the names again of the black one and the tabby? The puppies are SO adorable. Diogo was very good with them. One of my most favorite things is when Frankie goes racing about the place 😄. Take care and have a lovely week. 🥰♥️
Found this in the description: “Our Story: We are Carissa, Iwan & Frankie the sausage dog, and in 2020 decided one night over a bottle of wine that moving from North Wales to Portugal would be a good idea. Within a month we were on the road to Portugal to find the perfect piece of land to call home. We picked up Albi, Joao and Simao the cats along the way, as well as Diogo the podengo and a flock of chickens.” So which cat is which? 😅😅😊😊
ALWAYS WHOLESOME AND RELAXING. I GOT UP SLOWLY TO GRAB MY JAVA, AND IT WAS 29F DEGREES AND CLOUDY....BRRRR IN IDAHO. THEN BACK IN BED TO WATCH THE LATEST EPISODE. SO HAPPY TO SEE 44K SUBS, CONGRATS! AND A BEAUTIFUL DAY IN PORTUGAL, ENJOY THOSE CALIFORNIA WINTERS...LOLOL. AT LEAST WE ARE NOT HAVING NO MORE 0 DEGREES FARENHEIT ANYMORE, IT WAS 44F YESTERDAY, LIKE SUMMER LOLOL. GOD BLESS....🙏🙏🙏👍👍😄😄

Thanks for your vid 😇💟💟💟 Love and bless you guys, what a wonderful life you guys have I love it but you need some income of some sorts. good work guys 👍😁 your puzzle instinct is born with the stones and still much walls to be repaired.
Love watching your videos, so idealic and peaceful! A lot of hard work though. Have you ever watched a You Tube channel called Handeeman? He and his wife built an ingenious water collecting system in the middle of the desert if you ever find that you aren't collecting enough with climate change etc. thanks for the videos.
Hi guys I really enjoy your videos! We have a place near by and sooner we’ll be neighbours! It’s very encouraging to see your efforts and all the hard work you’ve been putting towards the land! God bless you all and hoping to meet you guys one day in person!
The best kind of neighbor is the type who shows up with a tool belt on, ready to work long and hard. Plus a pie in hand for a treat later. This is what makes true life-long friends and a solid neighborhood that looks out for each other. Walk the walk, don’t talk the talk! 🛠️🥧👍🏻 Please take the lead here. I’m certain they wouldn’t turn down a genuine offer of help with no strings attached. 😊
I just love Diego, he is so happy and busy, just watching him wears me out! The visiting pups were gorgeous.
Me too. It makes me happy just to watch how happy he is ❤️🇨🇦
I find it so lovely to watch Diogo as he jumps around (given his hip injury, previously)...he's like watching a gazelle 😂
Stay blessed both of you, and all your furry and feathered members of the family🙏
Lovely opening photo of frost on the leaves. Diogo's leaps are spectacular.
Lovely stone work! Love to see the animals so playful with each other and as usual perfect choice of music
Diogo is always on guard duty; he earns his keep!
Love how all the dogs get along. Diogo cracks me up.
The wall is looking stunning! Great team work! Oh gosh!!! All those puppies and doggies are adorable and kitties are such sweethearts ❤👍🥰😻

I love watching your videos, they are so calming and soothing and then suddenly a chicken is staring at you in your face! So absurd and yet charming.
🤣🤣 I was thinking along similar lines with WATCH OUT it's Diogo!! 😂❤️
I love when you show us the moon. It's summer here in Aotearoa/New Zealand, but sharing the moon with you makes me feel a connection.❤❤❤
Lovely video, love the outcome of the well!!! Have a great Sunday and week ahead 😊😊😊.🇬🇷 🇬🇷
Great steady progress on the stone wall. Nick will be proud of your attention to detail. Have a great week. 😊
Thank you for another beautiful and calming video!
What a marvelous looking orange rock you have sitting on your wall! Nature's own piece of sculpture !
Thanks for lovely video, very relaxing to watch
Working on the well together looked so peaceful and in the warm sunshine must have been very satisfying.
Always wonderful to spend time with you, each week. 👍❤️

Sorry!, it must be the accent that got me confused. I hope you have a greatly productive week. @@FrankieOffGrid
