Hi Aiden. A 28mm sliding reel seat should fit right at the top section of the shrink wrap but it will not fit to the "low" position (without a modification to the sliding reel seat itself). Hope this helps. 👍
@@x3mgrifter many thanks. As I fish FS this should be fine. It’s just getting the damn thing on that is the issue with the thick butt and big bulge right at the top of the shrink wrap
I just got home and measured the inner diameter of the reet seat that the Axellerator came with and it measures exactly 28mm. So aftermarket 28mm reel seats should fit like it does on the video. 👍
Hi Anderson. Although I personally have not be able to catch a blacktip shark, given this rod's reputation and cult following, I would say it is capable of tackling them on. Having said that, I have seen videos on youtube of black sharks being caught on, what seemed to me, a lot softer rods compared to this.

Could this rod take blacktip shark in the surf of florida rod

@@x3mgrifter hi sorry for long reply, thank you for the answer I think this rod can take bronze whaler sharks around 300lb is that stiff.
