Today in RAID Shadow Legends we'll talk about a common mistake players make by artifact hoarding. Avoid this at all costs - you should be SELLING this stuff for silver. Enjoy!

Ash "look, this one has speed, let's roll it up."
*Proceeds to sell*
I noticed that too! 😆
Face palm as soon as I saw that 🙄
i was gonna comment that too on 5:10. lmao
I'm sure we are all used to this sort of thing in Ash's videos by now.
Let's all remember the Heiress debacle.... 😂
that was funny , I was waiting for it too!
"Speed and Accuracy? Let's keep it and roll it up." Immediately sells it despite saying let's keep it and roll it up. 5:07
I was typing this, then checked the comments... LOL
I didn't know Ash was perfect like you
@@Sodamachine62 did you just take a funny as a serious? You okay man?
i thought i was the only one with an actrual name on youtube but look there is a comment section full of em lmao
One exception I'll make with no-speed artifacts is for speed tuning teams; sometimes, you just don't need all that speed to get to that breakpoint and there have been occasions where I'm way over the speed threshold and can't find any artifacts to lower my speed. But outside of that, I agree, speed is king and you usually can't have too much of it.
like when wanna tune Ninja at exactly 141 for Fumyth lol. ANYTHNING you pick pushes him over 170....
exactly, I find myself short of Attack chests with no speed but high crit rate or defence chests with resistance but no speed.
Now all I need is a good accessory cleanse video. Accessories are weird because the substats rarely seem to go with the mainstat. Stop giving me attack and attack % on my defense pieces, Plarium!!
And the RNG triple check you have to run through when farming spider its hard enough to land one of the right faction, but then adding in making sure you get stats you want
Lol
They have no idea what you're talking about
Thank you so much for all these videos. There is sooo much to Raid and it's really easy to get overwhelmed. Your videos help me get more control over my accounts. Because of your videos, I can now kill dragon 13. I was so seriously stuck I was about to quit. Then I watched a few of your tutorials and I cleaned up my account. I focused on only 5 champs and got them all to 6 stars. (I have 1 left to do) I have increased masteries and ascended them. (I didn't realize how much that little stuff helps!) I also have been busting butt on arena and getting my great hall up. This video helps me understand about artifacts. I am guilty of hoarding artifacts myself. Mostly because of faction wars, though. Or events where you need one faction to kill dungeons. Those aren't main champs. I've only been playing for 40 days. But sometimes I want a few points in an event or wanna get faction wars done, but have no champs built for them, so I put random artifacts on them. So I'm afraid to sell artifact pieces. But this makes a lot of sense. I can still hoard them, I'll just be selective in what pieces I hoard lol.
I remember when I was more earlier game and I was like meh on spd untill I couldn't progress passed 13 xd. (Ftp btw) then once I got more sense I got my champs faster and I did 25 dungeons and speed tuned cb. Spd is so important
Use FROST on 2nd-3rd rate AOE Provoke Champs that are used in Faction Wars teams, i.e. Crimson Helm, Templar, Seneshal, Rockbreaker, etc. These make for good CC Champs, and it frees your better gear for other ppl.
Also you are BOUND to get very good Frost gear from all that Dragon farming!
Need for Speed: Shadow legends
🤣🤣
Great common sense advice there, Ash.
I would also like to add that a fortnightly item purge would be good for all players as well. =)
My name is DarkBeerGuy and I am a hoarder. Thank you! I needed this. Went from a full inbox and 1300 to 930. Made $40M+ in silver.
This was eye opening, Im a f2p player sitting around lvl60. I cleaned up my artifact collection and used the extra silver to max out the good ones i have. Immediately saw improvements
I keep no speed perception gear with great crit rate or crit rate plus crit damage and accuracy rolls for nukers that also bring valuable debuff/cc (like e.g. Astralon). Using one perception set on them beside the wild or lethal set can make the difference to get enough accuracy for PVE without using accuracy on the banner
I've only been playing for 3 weeks so I don't have much good gear. Because of that I have 3 big rules: #1 I keep almost every set piece from hard-to-obtain areas such as forge, arena, and clan boss. Pieces such as perception, relentless, divines, etc are too hard to come by for now so I keep all but the absolute worst of those. Big rule #2 is that for any sets, I'll keep at least 1 of every base stat for each body part. For example, although resistance is pretty useless early game, I still keep 1 resistance chest from each set if I have it. And my #3 rule for all sets is to keep at least the top 3 pieces for each body part and sell all the rest.
I put a frost set on my bivald with decent stats, and with his provoke AOE it seems to work pretty well.
man..that's cold..
Hmm, genius?
【Sunglasses Finnish Pirates】0:27 Be one of a kind :) Nice T- Shirt! hahah cleansing: Ace Ventura: Pet Detective: "I have exorcised the demons! This house is...clear" great movie, great scene great actor Jim Carrey :) This game is the spiritual successor of Matrix Online...speed is king and it feels like bullet time when you have enough speed. My favorite sets are the atleast for me new righteous gear & perception so mandatory speed, but then resistance & accuracy for the arena in mind so likeminded in a sense what we want "speed since it's king, but then resistance & accuracy
I'm such a hoarder. These are tips I need. Plarium could make this more easy, thanks to the filter it became better, but they could tweak it so we can sell pieces without a certain substat etc...
Ash, these perception artifacts without speed but with res and defensive stats could be very useful for hydra
This past weekend I just did a huge purge in upgrading the quality of my gear, and made the decision to purge all my non-upgraded (16) 5 star gear and just start using 6-star gear. I was left with about 500 pieces of gear after the purge but made almost 50m silver getting rid of all my 5-star stuff.
Def% substat on savage is useful for your def nukers because it improves both damage and survivability.
thanks Ash, absolutely great vid, wish you had gone through more gear sets. a similar vid about accessories could also be nice although i guess that's a bit more complicated. thanks as always.
i'm way strict with myself - i haven't kept an artifact or banner that doesn't have a speed stat on it already. sometimes it's been hard but i just haven't felt like spending a fortune trying to get a speed roll. there's enough rng on gear upgrades without worrying about that :) besides, this way, i know all of my gear has the stat i want the most, then i just close my eyes, cross my fingers and hit upgrade lol
Hey Ash I was wondering what a good thing to work on as a early mid game player to progress the fastest I am fairly new and your content has really helped me out.
(I just got deliana and I have a six star ascended kael, normal seigehulk, elhina 4 stared acended and, some rares that I have never seen people say were good if that helps)
I’m here too and have been trying to find a good place to have all this info readily accessible. I’ve also made lists that help a little but I’m still having trouble.
X'D Feeling that dopamine rush when you see that lightning @14:20
Wow that's funny, I was literally just thinking about asking you to do a video like this right after watching your previous video. 😂 You work wonders my man!
😃 read your mind
I literally just did this during last artifact event i started with 7 million. I got every prize in the event just leveling items to 8 and selling junk a few went to 12. I sold half my artifacts leveled the rest to 8 and ended with 4 million silver when i was done. As you get further along you become ever more critical of the gear you have and will use.
I was leaning in this direction, especially when I was desperate for silver. Wasn't sure if I was going in the right direction, and definitely have been too conservative. I'm all in, no looking back, no regrets.
A lot of this made so much sense. I know I'm guilty of keeping pieces I think a FW champ may use, But mainly, the speed sub stat rule makes a lot of sense
I've so much junk, I mean I've good six star pieces from crapy sets, and my inbox has so much unused pieces :S I hope Plarium will consider making looking through your artifacts easeir, as filtering 1300 eq pieces for the 5th time after another dragon event when your blue stack crashed, after auto battle....
Just wondering your thoughts on the Chaos Ore. Say you get some nice boots but they are not Speed? You might roll it to 12 and hit a triple on a stat like HP then use the Chaos Ore to hope to hit something good? Or do you just give up on it?
Honestly, I recommend dodging the bottom row entirely, there is just too many different possibilities that hitting the exact ones you want is almost impossible, so I recommend using it on the top row, and also on the very good or rare sets, like relentless or speed
If you're going to use chaos ore on boots, I would stick to either savage gear or stone skin. With savage, there's a use case for speed, attack %, def% or HP% boots. Stone skin, you can use almost anything with good substats.
99% of the time, stick with either the top row or reaction gear accessories.
Well I was using boots as an example. I doubt Id get lucky enough to actually hit speed lol
Solid advice. I periodically clense alot of bad stat gear or low star gear but I admit I tend to struggle getting rid of decent pieces of gear that are always "on the fence". Definitely trying to break that mentality.
That said.
Any advice on Accessories?
Mostly just selling low quality or low stars but in terms of stats or stat priority, is there anything more I can do to up my cleanse game?
Seriously, I am struggling regarding accessories. Lots of vids talks about artifacts, but rarely anything is mentioned about accessories. I think I'll just use the same mentality as the artifacts. I'll consider what champs can where each accessory, what kind of champ they are, and then judge it from there.
Grossly undervaluing Frost Set. Put Tatura in Frost and Frostbite at same time, and enjoy the control.
I have my Tormin in a frost set. Such a control beast for most areas of the game. More often than not my slow Arena team ends up going first.
During the week I hoard all artifacts. When Clan Quests reset I pick up the quests to sell artifacts for 2,5 mill and for 5 mill. Then I go through and sell everything.
i wish we could filter out stuff that doesnt contain stats... like i want to keep pieces with HP% and SPD - so allow me to filter out those pieces so i can sell the rest
Love how you sell the artifact you said you would roll up! Keep being you, Ash
🙈
LOVE THESE!!! The in real-time “for dummies” makes it SO moldable for us to use across other pieces tyyyy
Ash...I absolutely LOVE you! ❤️
Do you know why? Because the key to my heart is: making! me! laugh! -
and YOU, my dear sir, my beautifully funny man, make me laugh RIGHT OUT LOUD every time I watch your videos - like THIS one!!
And I SO need that laughter right now.
So THANK you, from my heart!
I have the frost set(4)& righteous(2) on my lvl 20 cultist. They're not even fully leveled up artifacts, and I have like crit rate/damage at 9% on a 4 star, rare artifact. My cultist is almost at 7,000 power. Level 20, uncommon and ascended twice. I think that's pretty good for an uncommon. My level 40 elhain is only at like 9500 power.
I am new to Raid. I really like it. I'm just a bit confused as to how often I should change my gear or artifacts? I noticed you have slots for a few different builds. I don't like that it always tries to get me to change my artifacts. Lol
I have so many artifacts that I can sell. I'm a noooob swim really learning still.
What would be your advice on any builds!?
I have maybe 8 main heros that I focus on and really work on.
Thank you and have a great day . 😊
Is there a spreadsheet or some kind of visual chart available for preferable stats on specific artifacts? I'd love to have a quick reference to look up what is good on a specific piece.
Would be great if Plarium would put a "Does not have" filter ability. That would be so much easier to find items without speed. While I'm asking for stuff, they just hit year 3, how about a 3x speed option, especially for CB!?
Off topic, but another thing that would be nice for Plarium to add... when using multi battles, it would be nice if you could set it so that if you are trying to get a life steal 6 star weapon and I'm hitting dragons, it would be nice if there was a way to stop the multi battle once I got what I am looking for, but that would be almost impossible to code cuz of the endless possibilities. But it would still be nice lol
if you ask Hell Hades, Accuracy is king... but I'm sure he's talking about champions that need accuracy, it's more important than speed even though all champions need speed and only champions that do something to the opponent need accuracy
Clear as mud. 😂
hey Ash, semi midgame player here, comfortable where i am for the moment. i dont really have time to do a good cleanse on all my gear with the 1300+ pieces i have. would you ever recommend selling ALL of your unequipped gear bar the hard to get sets?
“Let’s keep this and roll it up.”
Immediately proceeds to sell and destroy it, lol 😂
🙈
I admit, I save most of my promising pieces. But I don't roll it until an Artifact event. Then I just usually roll it to 4 to lv8. This way if it lands on something bad, I can sell it and make a small profit while getting points for these events. Win, Win
I know this is criminal, but I needed to get a 4th piece of instinct gear on my Kael and traded out his speed boots for +60% attack boots that had 12% CR to get me to 100%. He's pathetically slow, but he hits like a beast and I can't break the addiction.
Yeah artifact cleaning is hard, in my experience crit rate for gauntlets and speed for boots always unless for very niche roles
Tell me about it. I tried HH subscription but it only helped a little to clear average or lower future or current rating.
Because I horde my energy and do long runs, I end up with a lot of artifacts overflowing.
This is a BIG issue, because you can't see the stats of artifacts that you get in the overflow.
Pretty much the case with me in regards to sleep Armor. Loads of it and yet I've no need for it. I can't think of anyone who can use sleep armor more than anything else.
Ash, I need help! I play at level 58 right now and UDK is the bane of Arena for me. I need a UDK Killer, how do I build one?
just went through and cleared out some of my gear and sold 5mil worth of gear... the unnecessary grind I went through to cumulate more silver just to realize how much I was sitting on is a slap in the face smh... not hoarding gear anymore after this...
can you explain why attack percentage as a main stat is bad ? I couldnt ubderstand why some of these main stats were bad.
I feel attacked 🤣
Thank you for this video. I'm one of those players who can't make decisions on what to keep and what to sell. My overflow is usually sitting around 200-300 artefacts... I'll give it another go.
I sold all my 1* artifacts for 510,000. This was a great wakeup call.
I think Im still in the beginning/mid game stage and I have very few epic/legendary artifacts and all the ones I have and receive are from campaign and are common or uncommon. Where is/are the best places to get really good items to use in the forge so I can equip and get really good ones?
As I'm watching this video, I'm maxed out on gear and it has started going into my inbox, lol. I think it's time for a purge. Thanks for the video!
This was really useful! With its especially concise and clear advice, this is my new favorite gear cleanse video.
😳
This game has like 3-5x attack multipliers yet nobody stacks attack power? Does it only calculate that from baseline? To me that 5x multiplier seems a lot better than crit with roughly 2x?
What about the suggested artifacts , should people use them?
i used hellhades payed version a couple weeks ago made ~170m silver
now im left with 800 pieces that are worthy to roll but i dont have any more silver left
ASH @5:09 :
| *Clicks 5* Perception Artifact*|
“Speed, Accuracy…Let’s keep it and roll it up….”
| Never unclicks from queued to sell |
ASH @ 5:20 * Clicks Sell all highlighted gear - never thinks twice about aforementioned artifact. *
Lol
I'm currently raiding the Brutal campaign and am getting literally nothing but commmom artifacts. Is ths normal?
I LOVED THE LEGENDARY ROLLS EDIT!!!!!! It was so hyped as always but for artifacts
Thank you so much for this. I never realized I was such a hoarder. You have liberated my armor wardrobe and I just became almost 100 million richer in silver!
Nice!!! Love to hear that the video was helpful
@@ASH-RAID In addition my brother, I really appreciated you bringing myself and I imagine countless others back to the realization that Raid is a GAME and the main purpose games exist is TO HAVE FUN AND BE ENTERTAINED. You are so correct what’s the F@#$ing rush to get through it and compulsion to empty my bank account in doing so. Kick back and enjoy the ride. After all suppose I spent a few hundred thousand and become the top player. Well then for me pretty much that would curb my interest and enjoyment of it. Once I make it to the top of a mountain no need to linger and remain there lol.
Still new-ish to the game. I get crit damage gloves and putting on a lot of crit rate. But if you need acc and speed too is there much room to put any attack % in there for my attack champions? This is more for dungeons rather than arena so they also need to survive as well which may take away from the attack.
I'm also new but from what I understand attack is the worst stat in the game. I'd say forgot the attack if you need acc go for acc but I could be totally wrong
Legit did a gear cleanse last night to prep for the fusion sold 400+ pieces for 15mill silver now i have 30mill silver and havent even done accessories yet. Burning forge pieces as well for extra silver
Selling gear is also a clan quest option. 5mil/2mil/1mil
"Who is going to wear this?" Thats easy... SOMEONE I DONT HAVE YET.
one of the things I hate most is when you lose a battle the "tips" are simply clicking 3 times to be told to upgrade artifacts, nothing about which should be upgraded, nothing about which should be swapped for something better, just arbitrarily burn silver
Hey bro how you doing? Im watching all your vids im about a month in Raid and loving it but can you do a video guide on what heros and gear to use for starters? Like whaaaayyyyyy in the beginning!!! Keep up the good vids bro!
Thank you just started playing played like 6 days ago getting Deliana tomorrow and your Videos have been a great help many thanks btw I have sub to your channel keep up the great work much app
I usually have between 1100 and 1275 artifacts in my inventory. Unless I need to make room before doing multi-battles in dungeons, I tend to consider them my savings account. If I need silver for something I will go the the artifacts before I use my gems or, God forbid, give Plarium any real money 🤑.
Wait to open shards till a couple of hours from now during clan challenge that's going on, you'll get more.
Would frost set be something to consider on Provokes champs (since we are getting more and more of those)?
Yes.
This is good. I do a cleanse once a week but I'll take the clan quest to sell 5mil worth gear. Easy peasy, just click 1-2, 3 and 4 star common and uncommon and poof, quest complete.
Im nowhere your level and my main target is minotors labrynth.Mostly because thats the dungeon that I can hit the max level.I dont have motivation to hit other dungeons that aren't max level.I see it as a slow grind but I know deep down I should hit more loot dungeons but I also see the value of masteries and its easy to put on auto. Those masteries are permanent and dont need replacing.Eventually when I can farm fire knight at a high level then I will. Not a great strategy having shit artefacts but I feel being patient for a long term strategy will be best for me as a cheap player.I spent $100 every week for the first 6 weeks but now choose to save my money because I'm not passionate about it.You are a very high achiever but I don't compete with whales
So should I sell all my artefacts that don’t have speed subsets???
Probably if they dont have accuracy as well like sets you wabt for dmg should have dmg subsetz and support gear should have speed acuracy and resists
there are 3 Clan Quest involving selling artefacts, lvl 1: earn 500 000 silver, lvl 2: earn 2 000 000 silver and lvl 3: earn 5 000 000 silver.
Is lifesteal equipment Good For champion NINJA
Ash slammed the truth right at my face: I'm a hoarder 😱 Can't have enough artifacts, right? 😅 Though I do have become more critical, at least towards epic 5* artifacts. Buuuut.... def need more therapy vids like this 😄👍
Flat stat gear is what really needs a buff in this game
Thanks for the info, Obi Wan. May the Force be with us all!
i love these kinds of videos, i always always put off a gear cleanse! will do this now
Any artifact (including epic and legendary) that has a flat stat where it shouldn't gets sold on the spot, I'm 3 weeks in and I'm not playing about with those flat stats man, they have to go! played enough Gotcha games to know that One has to be straight savage with these things.
“We need speed. Speed is what we need. Greasy fast speed!” - Trainer Mick
Lol. You say at 5:10 that you’ll keep that perception weapon and then accidentally keep it selected and sell it 4 seconds later. Spd, acc, res. Could’ve been a NICE one even tho it was 5 star.
lol came to post this too. Oof he was focused on presentation.
@@JonnnyJuJitsu he was definitely preoccupied lol
I'm wasting all of my silver because there's a MOFUKIN' pendant that won't go to +16 so I can finish the quest and the monthly one.
It's personal now, I'm so furious with that pendant I will pour every single little silver I earn there with zero regrets.
It's +13 now.
"look at this weapon, we gonna keep it and roll it"
*sells it distracted with the video*
do you edit your own videos too??
you have more daze pieces. check the filters
Thanks for the reminder. I fall into hoarding mode so easily. Time to SELL! Gonna need silver to get the Hellcat;)
I just sold 110 boots and made 6 mill.. lol can't wait to sell the rest.. Thnx ash!
Ash, actually this puts some things in a better perspective for me.
Why are there no Crit Rate/ Damage glyphs... ? unless I just haven't found any...🤔
I’d rather do a gear cleanse then hydra
but the Hydra adventure is so story driven....
Oh right. 🤦
Speed sub stat has to atleast be 5 and be rolled into twice for me to keep. I look for crit rate and damage on my weapons .
thanks Ash, I had 2.3M in Attack % with no bomb champions
1) Please do more helpful videos. Theyre awesome
2) Was that Tim Hawkins at 6:50?
Great video, Ash. Concise and useful.
👍🏼
@5:10 let's keep it and see how it goes precedes to sell it
It's all well and good and I've been paying attention and it's helped a little bit but mainly right now I'm fed up because I've spent over $100 in the last couple months in this game I don't know how I got caught up in that and I have not been able to get any further anywhere I mean I keep getting the same shards I keep getting the same champions over and over again on a loop but I can't get any of the ones that I need for a fusion or anything like that I feel like they're out to get me and I have bad luck though but I'm pretty much done man over $800 and I got no benefit from it
