ለምሳሌ፦ በዚህ አመት ብዙ ተማሪዎች logic A+ ሰርተዋል። በዚሁ አመት ብዙ የመኪና አደጋ ተከስቷል። ስለዚህ የመኪና አደጋ እንድቀንስ ብዙ ተማሪዎች A+ እንዳይሰሩ ማድረግ አለብን። በዚህ ምሳሌ ላይ በተማሪዎች ውጤት እና የመኪና አደጋ መካከል ምንም አይነት የምክንያትና ውጤት ግንኙነት ሳይኖራቸው ነው ተናጋሪው ያገናኛቸው።
Missing the point ደግሞ ለአንድ ነገር ብዙ እርምጃዎችን አልፈን ወይም ዘለን የተጋነነ conclusion መስጠት ነው።
ለምሳሌ፦ A እግር ኳስ ቡድን ዘንድሮ አቋሙ በጣም ቀንሷል። ስለዚህ A እግር ኳስ ቡድን መፍረስ አለበት ከተባለ ይህ የተጋነነ conclusion ስለሆነ Missing the point እንላለን።
