I went up Eildon Hill in the south this week!! Not a munro but was still amazing. Btw what brand are those hiking boots you are wearing and are they waterproof cause I need a good pair. Please do more hill walk videos!!! x
Yet another of your epic vlogs Erin. The absence of music gave it a more personal, stark, raw feel. (I do enjoy the musical selections you use BTW :)) The footage never gets old. Jaw dropping, breath taking, chill inducing..all the above. And we got not one, but two shots of a rainbow. The second was ever more spectacular. Outstanding job, again.
Erin once again I appreciate you showing me places I might not get to see since I'm in a wheelchair. Also the going back for the camera so after you get your shots are priceless.
I first typed "Scottish TH-camrs" and your popped out! And ever since I found this channel, I really enjoy your youtube channel and your videos💓💓 I just can't stop watching your videos❤️❤️ I'm glad I found your channel😍
WEEEEEEEEEEEEE. Love the hiking/nature videos. Glad to see another one. I always enjoy seeing the Scottish countryside in your videos. Keep up the good work.
Magical video, Erin! You really know how to capture Scotlands beauty! What a great idea to leave nature sounds on this vlog. Absolutely amazing! Truly enjoyed it! Thank you! xx
Even though the weather didn't work with you, you put out another wonderful vlog of the beauty of Scotland. I wish I could travel to the land of my ancestors and go around like you do. But for now I'll give you the authority to do my hiking in my place.
Always love your hiking videos, full of beautiful scenery makes me jealous. I admire you for going the extra mile and having to retrieve the camera just for some cool shots. Your dancing is always great too. At 3:50 the stone looks like it lights up when you touch it.
Love the commitment in your vlogs, setting up the camera and running downhill past it knowing you have to go back and get it! Great video, looks a good hike! :)
It's so beautiful there! Thanks for sharing your hike with us! You must be knackered from all that running up and down to retrieve the camera! Take care hiking alone and stay hydrated!
You must be in great shape Erin. All that walking up and down and back and forth to get a shot and the recover the camera. Jeez. That would kill me. I like the sounds of the wind. Good idea to not use music. Great video. Thanks for the hard work. Gorgeous scenery. 😆👍
There's some absolutely stunning views of the Scottish countryside on display here. I must get back into my regular walking routine too. I love a good walk. I usually waddle through what are called down here scenic reserves but I wouldn't mind getting out of my comfort zone by doing some more serious hiking though. There's a national park hiking trail here called the Tongariro Alpine Crossing that I'm keen to have a go at, it's an eight hour hike so I might die in the process lol. I'd love to get to Scotland at some point too, I had family visit there a wee while back and they said that the reception by the locals was "bloody magic" and that you couldn't have asked for friendlier people.
Hi Erin. (First time commenter) I liked this nature vlog. Scotland is pretty. I need to prepare for a Highland Fest at 8,000 plus feet in Estes Park Colorado on Sep. 9. It's great. lots of pipes. I watch your blogs to acquire a wee bit of a Scottish accent. Kinda fun. Thanks for posting like you do.
The entire time I was watching the video, I was thinking, how many times and how far back did you have to go to pick up the camera and then you included the footage of you retrieving your camera over and over again and I was immediately reminded why I enjoy watching your videos so much. :D Loved it. Looking forward to more vlogs.
Gorgeous! I LOVE the silence and the solitude up there. I am coming from Texas in 6 weeks and I'm totally making that hike! (Among so many other things you have shown us.) You are too silly and fun. Love the no music and the outtakes. =)
Thank you very much! Ben Ledi is nice but it's not the NICEST I've been on. I'd recommend Buachaille Etive Mor in Glencoe though! And Beinn Dubh and Ben Donich are also lovely
Thanks for the recommendations! We have 6 full days to explore but I think I need about a thousand! I am having so much trouble deciding but you are helping a lot. It is going to turn into "My trip to Scotland according to Erin!" ha! Tell Bobby to save us a table at the Clansman!
Loving the latest Vlog. Hike looks amazing, especially the scenery. So glad I'm not the only one who freaks when a member of the public catches me vlogging!!! 😂 How can you still look fab in your hot and sweaty moments- I've been filming on holiday this week- one is while I'm doing a run and I'm a pure mess! 🙈
Thanks for these videos. I’m envious of your opportunities to go see these magnificent places. American, but my ancestry tracks back to Scotland which I one day hope to visit.
Loved the video, one of your best! Ben Ledi is almost as gorgeous as it's guide. I appreciate all your trouble with the camera shots (up and down). You definitely had a workout. Cheers!
It's breathtakingly beautiful! You almost do the hill climb twice with all of the trips back to retrieve your camera. I recently walked Coliseum Mountain in Alberta Canada where I live. It was amazing but too hot which seemed to make it more difficult.
Loving your videos. I totally understand your feelings of mortification at being caught vlogging by members of the public. It happens to me all of the time. I’ve subscribed to your channel.
I cracked up over the "retrieving the camera" epilogue. Every time it looked like you had put the camera down to film yourself walking away from it, I thought, "oh, she's way more dedicated than I'd be. That looks like a lot of extra walking. Fuck that."
I sometimes get the same thing with the swollen hands on hikes. It usually happens to me in higher altitudes and always on the way back. Sometimes clenching and unclenching your fists several times every so often will help.
Love the vlog! Headed to Scotland for a few weeks soon, and have been looking for some good hikes!! I read online that it's 10km (6.5 miles) long. Do you know if that's to the summit and back? Or just one way? Thanks!
Thank u Erin that was good fun to watch!! I'd be too scared to climb up a mountain by myself. I'd get paranoid that I might lose my way or stumble upon a creep or something.😨
Loved it! Totally makes me wanna go hill walking and as entertaining as always 😂 You've probably answered this a million times before but what camera do you vlog with? It takes great shots 😊
Really enjoyed this! Beautiful scenery! Looks a lot like where I live in Canada. So all those scenes where you are walking away, walking by, you have to go back and get your camera and re-walk the same route again? That's a lot of exercise! Wow. And you should really get those swollen hands checked out; I've never heard of that before... Thank you for the lovely vid!
hahahahaha a bludy brilliant vid lass! gorg views an'lucked out on havin' th'hills (nearly) ta yerself!😉 Love th' contrasting weather -- we've th' same here in Hawaii -- rain a dozen feet left of ye, blindin' sunshine a dozen feet ta yer right!😂😉 hope yer meal didn't go ta waste😁 agin, fab vid an' defo enjoy jist th' sounds o'Nature (blisterin' winds or no😂😂😂👍)👏👏👏🔥🌠
Looks like you had to walk that hill twice going up and down for your camera. Beautiful views from up there, wishing. I have to say your beautiful Scottish accent sounded thicker in this video, loved it.
I hear you Becca. I've only been back in the States 4 days and thanks to Erin's video, I already miss touring the Orkney Islands and the 4:30AM sunrises and 9:30PM sunsets.
Omg I'm so gald you actually addressed the fact that you have to have to go BACK and retrieve your camera after getting "the shot" of yourself walking.. That's the kind of stuff you see in every vlog ever and can't help but think about haha
I recorded myself walking to the shop on Snapchat this morning so would in theory that makes me a professional vlogger😉 heads up Erin, you've got some mighty competition😝🤙😉😉😉
To me this vlog was not a fail at all 😁. I absolutely love your hiking vlogs. My dream is to go to Scotland. My kind of weather. Living in super hot/ humid Virginia during the summer sucks lol
Hi Erin! I have a question for you. You mention going around a bog in this vlog and it doesn't look very deep. On the news here in America there was a story about a Bog Snorkeling Championship in Wales so I'm wondering if bogs can actually be deep enough to swim in? From the little bit they showed, it looked more like they were swimming in a drainage ditch full of muddy water. Thanks!
Wow such a pretty hike, if your planning on doing more outdoors stuff you might want to invest in a Deadcat or Windscreen that lets all your sounds through except wind as that can be a real problem if you are trying to do dialog in windy areas. Alternatively I've seen people used old fuzzy stuffed animals fur or taping little pieces of sponge over the microphone :D
Great video Erin and I love the scenery. It looks so quiet and peaceful,m. The perfect place for meditation and letting the stress out. Something the best music is nature herself. Thanks again for such a beautiful video.
Thoughts from Places Erin's Edition . Music would have ruined this video. Your comments and reactions were enough. Beautiful video the scenery speaks for itself.
You really enjoyed that trip, i can see that from a video. :-) didnt have companion to get along, or you just like do those trips alone? you should be carefull, when alone
#SweatIsReal.. Pure Dripping lol 😂 Looks awesome place Erin, every time I watch you out enjoying nature getting exercise it reminds me of what a slob I am and should be doing so too lol
I couldn't decide on background music so I decided not to include ANY music. NATURE NOISES 💙
Have you been on any nice walks lately?
Erin I recently cycled the great glen way
Nice!
Erin first time to Scotland, just took a short hike to Arthurs seat great views of Edinburgh. Going to Loch Lomond to hike this weekend!
Erin looks amazing
I went up Eildon Hill in the south this week!! Not a munro but was still amazing. Btw what brand are those hiking boots you are wearing and are they waterproof cause I need a good pair. Please do more hill walk videos!!! x

Thank you very much! I might continue the no music thing...
Though maybe look into getting a muffle cover for the microphone, so it doesn't record ALL the wind-sounds(?)
I have one! Just forgot to bring it with my tripod...
I LOVE the natural sounds!! Great vlog Erin!
Glad you liked it! Thank you! :)
Erin once again I appreciate you showing me places I might not get to see since I'm in a wheelchair. Also the going back for the camera so after you get your shots are priceless.

The landscape shot @ 2:00 is absolutely gorgeous. Loved the "Nature Noises"!
Glad you enjoyed it :D
Absoloutly loved your wee run down the hill montage! This whole video is so motivating and inspiring to me ❤
Awww thank you, I'm glad you liked it!
Looks so peaceful x
When I was hiking/climbing in the Rockies it was so cool to watch the rain clouds pass by me and then rain on those below you.
Even though the weather didn't work with you, you put out another wonderful vlog of the beauty of Scotland. I wish I could travel to the land of my ancestors and go around like you do. But for now I'll give you the authority to do my hiking in my place.

Great video, looks a good hike! :)
Thank you very much :)
Great vlog with a beautiful landscape
The scenery in this video is honestly beautiful! You are so blessed to live in such a naturally beautiful place! Totally worth the hike xxx
shlibber thank your uncle for keeping our earth happy and healthy! I can only imagine how much work it is. I have so much appreciation for nature 💕
Yesss I love it here! :D
It's so beautiful there! Thanks for sharing your hike with us! You must be knackered from all that running up and down to retrieve the camera! Take care hiking alone and stay hydrated!

Hahaha not quite! Thanks for watching :)
Great video. I love nature-filled videos like this. My favorite part was at 1:01 - streams like those are really cool.
There's some absolutely stunning views of the Scottish countryside on display here. I must get back into my regular walking routine too. I love a good walk. Sounds good! Might as well give it a bash!
I'm going to visit your country next year, I really want to experience the feeling of wandering through these spotless lands. Thanks for sharing!
I love every view in Scotland! Nothing else like it!
Agreed!
I'm getting in the mood to wild-camp in the Kilpatrick Hills with my son - your enthusiasm is brilliant. Perhaps an outtakes video next time!!!
This was brilliant!!!! You should do more of these nature sound/ raw vlogs. It's probably asmr for some pep as well :D
Thank you very much! I think I will :) I enjoy editing it more hahah
Cracking video Erin! Absolute pleasure to watch😃👍

Beautiful. Thanks for the vid!
No fail E. Dawg. You were brilliant as usual and the scenery was epic. I think no music on this one worked great. We don't need a Q and A.
Thank you! No I said I'd do a Q&A/equipment test for Tiso so it needs done 😂
You live in a paradise. Gorgeous vlog!
I do! Thanks for watching :)
Loving the latest Vlog. Hike looks amazing, especially the scenery. Aww thank you very much! It was a sight in person - the camera doesn't quite catch the amount of SWEAT hahaha.
Thanks for these videos. I’m envious of your opportunities to go see these magnificent places. American, but my ancestry tracks back to Scotland which I one day hope to visit.
Fully in love with your accent😍
:D
Your outings are absolutely wonderful. :) I've been to Scotland twice, and miss it. Even when it rains. LOL
Glad you enjoy them :)
Loved the video, one of your best! Ben Ledi is almost as gorgeous as it's guide. I appreciate all your trouble with the camera shots (up and down). You definitely had a workout. Cheers!
Thank you v much!
Wow good call not using background music! Such a good vlog, I really liked this one, lots of cool shots and as always beautiful views!
Thank you! :)
Gid'ay mate.. great video loved the bit at the end where you had to retrieve the camera... 😁
Stunning views! I need to find some walks near me, I've just been walking in the fields near where we live.
Yesssss do it! Any walks are good though - just being outside does WONDERSSSS
That's a pure excellent view wide windy am going to get back into hill walking like ...your videos are pure cool 👌
This is the next munro I plan to ride. Enjoyed your vid.

Thanks for watching :)
always a pleasure :)
It's breathtakingly beautiful! You almost do the hill climb twice with all of the trips back to retrieve your camera. I recently walked Coliseum Mountain in Alberta Canada where I live. It was amazing but too hot which seemed to make it more difficult.
Hahaha I know, so much effort! Oh man, hot weather makes climbing 100x more difficult :/
Loving your videos. I totally understand your feelings of mortification at being caught vlogging by members of the public. It happens to me all of the time. I’ve subscribed to your channel.
Great video, Erin! Nice change of pace and the decision not to use music really set it off
Thank you :D
Those shots of you walking past the camera were very nice, and the other ones retrieving the camera were funny hehe
Haha thank you!
Love the sound of wind! So how long of a hike? What a beautiful place.
I didn't time myself because I faff about filming and sat at the top for a while!
Gosh you’re so pretty
Ok, Ben Ledi is next. Your videos are helping me to choose where to hike next
I cracked up over the "retrieving the camera" epilogue. Every time it looked like you had put the camera down to film yourself walking away from it, I thought, "oh, she's way more dedicated than I'd be. That looks like a lot of extra walking. Fuck that."
My ancestral homeland is so beautiful, long live Scotland. 💖
It is!
Those gravel noises are on point though 👌👌👌👌👌 also was considering doing Ben donich this weekend if the weather holds out but hmm Ben Ledi looks nice
LOVE A GOOD BITTA GRAVEL. Ben Donich is also lovely! (It's in a vlog somewhere) but ayee Ben Ledi is also lovely ha!
I sometimes get the same thing with the swollen hands on hikes. It usually happens to me in higher altitudes and always on the way back. Sometimes clenching and unclenching your fists several times every so often will help.
Erin, just subscribed to your channel. awesome stuff! can't wait to visit Scotland for the distilleries!
what do you use to film?
Cool video need to get back up ben ledi. Really bad as from Stirling. Going fishing at loch drunkie this weekend after seeing your video on the area
Thank you! Oooo I'm glad my video gave you ideas!
When i saw fail I though you turned back but you made it to the top well done.
Hahaha! Those walk backs 😂 You got quite far in some of those! It's like you've walked the whole track twice in the end.
Loved it! Totally makes me wanna go hill walking and as entertaining as always 😂
You've probably answered this a million times before but what camera do you vlog with? It takes great shots 😊
Doooo it! Thank you! I use a Canon G7X mark ii :)
Really enjoyed this! Beautiful scenery! Looks a lot like where I live in Canada. Thank you! Haha nah the hand swelling is completely normal during a hike! :p

It was me who bumped into you outside charing cross railway station. still love your videos!

I wished I could give this video two 2 likes after the clips at the end of you going back for your camera XD Loved it!
Hahaha thank you!
Looks like you had to walk that hill twice going up and down for your camera. Beautiful views from up there, wishing. I have to say your beautiful Scottish accent sounded thicker in this video, loved it.

Great video. What was it shot on?
I loved the long shots but I was wondering about retrieving the camera. Thanks for including that footage.
Thanks for watching!
Too much fun!!!
Loved it!
Nice !!!! I love ❤️ to hike too !!!
Yay :)
You standing on top of the hill looking down on the lake, reminded of that song....she's waallking in the aiir ...
Ha!
God. Flipping. Damn. It. I love Scotland so much. It's only been like 1.5 weeks and I physically need to go back
I hear you Becca. I've only been back in the States 4 days and thanks to Erin's video, I already miss touring the Orkney Islands and the 4:30AM sunrises and 9:30PM sunsets.
Doooooo it!
I neeeed to go to Orkney...

Hahaha so much effort!
I recorded myself walking to the shop on Snapchat this morning so would in theory that makes me a professional vlogger😉 heads up Erin, you've got some mighty competition😝🤙😉😉😉
i was getting pooped watching you go over all the hills! that was a lot of work... but it looked like so much fun.
It was a lot of fun!
Haha your hilarious! Love this vlog, our country is so beautiful! I'm bagging another Munro on Sunday :D
To me this vlog was not a fail at all 😁. I absolutely love your hiking vlogs. My dream is to go to Scotland. My kind of weather. Living in super hot/ humid Virginia during the summer sucks lol
The Q&A/equipment test was a fail 😂 thank you!
Well done Erin Ben ledi looks fantastic good job haste ye back 😉😉💜 💜
Thank you!
This is so awesome I want to come to Scotland so bad
Do it!
Thanks!
Ugh I wanna go hiking in Scotland too
im another scottish youtuber but i love ur videos
Thank you!
Great video! It's been years since I climbed Ben ledi 👎🏼
Thank you! :D
Do you have any videos where you visit Loch Ness? or Maybe a castle? Just curious.
Yep, I have an Inverness vid and a bunch of castle ones!
If I had a place like that to walk I would ... Beautiful Land
There are sooo many hills like that here!
I enjoyed the nature noises. I might watch it again with a fan blowing on me, LOL.
Hahaha dooo it!
I have one, I just didn't remember to bring it for this vlog ha! It was next to my tripod...
Heed like a burst couch as my sisters would say. Great vlog. :)
😂
Great video Erin and I love the scenery. It looks so quiet and peaceful,m. The perfect place for meditation and letting the stress out. Something the best music is nature herself. Thanks again for such a beautiful video.
Thank you!
Up ben lidi if you go down I different way there is a massive water fall. X
The stank glen route? There's a waterfall down that way I remember seeing!
Where's your jacket from? Been looking for one that colour for my own hikes x
Regatta!
Thoughts from Places Erin's Edition . Music would have ruined this video. Your comments and reactions were enough. Beautiful video the scenery speaks for itself.
Thank you!
That looked like a long hike. I bet you where tired after that. How long was it?
Wasn't too bad! It was about 2880ft (ish) but I sat for a while at the top and filmed a lot so not sure how long it took.
You really enjoyed that trip, i can see that from a video. :-)
didnt have companion to get along, or you just like do those trips alone? you should be carefull, when alone
this was great vid with nice views. one day i will visit scotland. your great a new sub from me

#SweatIsReal.. Pure Dripping lol 😂
Looks awesome place Erin, every time I watch you out enjoying nature getting exercise it reminds me of what a slob I am and should be doing so too lol
#drippin - it was lovely! Hahah I could be doing it more tbh.
Erin Was a great video Erin, I liked more natural without music 👍
