I could go on forever however, there is one laptop that kept popping up within my conversations with friends. And thats the Vivobook! So I decided to reach out to Asus and get one for myself.

i've been using my asus vivobook pro 14 OLED for a year now and i've had problems with my SSD for reasons that are still unknown to me (i already had it replaced), but overall, it is useful for students/people who only do simple tasks with their laptops (browsing, watching videos, paper work, etc.)

I was between this Asus or the Acer Swift Go 14 (Core Ultra 7 155H, 16GB, 1TB). At the end I get the Acer, it was $699 at Cotsco, is not Oled Display but its touch screen.

I have the 2018 Vivobook model. All these 6 years, many problems have arisen such as a sunk trackpad (still works fine but is deformed), a shutdown HDD, and a defective fan. I'm using this for Civil engineering-related software and I could say it is not for 3D design tasks (Revit, Civil 3D, Infraworks, etc) but it works fine for analysis software. I think this comment relates to 5% of viewers.
Why do people keep saying for a 1000$ + laptop that it's affordable?? It's not. Affordable laptops are less than 900, over that it starts getting mid/high range

I really wish a Macbook since I have iPhone and iPad, but no oled, no 120hz(if not on MacBook Pro which is too expensive), makes me not want to buy a MacBook (let's not speak about the 8gb or ram on the air version...). Can this be a great replacement? What else can be good?

I guess Im just confused about the difference between this and their Zenbook 14 Oled now? They both can have the same screens, and you can actually get the vivobook with the Core Ultra 9 which is higher than the Core Ultra 7 offered in the Zenbook. So how is this their "entry level" and the Zenbook their "flagship"?
The Macbook Air M1 is pretty much capable and affordable now for students everywhere. But if some needs some versatility there are budget laptops windows, and here where I'm from Huawei has really good options with very decent performance and affordable price.

Proudly watching from my 2-month old ~$700/₽39,590 (Philippine Pesos) Asus Vivobook Go 15 OLED with Ryzen 7 7520U. I must say that this lineup of laptop is a solid buy for lightweight to medium tasks and can easily handle games even at medium graphics settings without the chassis getting a lot warmer than most budget laptops and with much less fan noise. really love the bright OLED Screen since it's somewhat of a rare breed in this price range to have an OLED panel. also appreciate ASUS' Built-in software like MyAsus, ScreenXpert, and most of all GlideX which allows you to extend your laptop's display wirelessly or wired to an android tablet or an iPad and also allows you to seamlessly operate your devices through your laptop's screen. my only gripe with this is that the USB-C Port on this model doesn't support charging. it still uses a proprietary barrel-bolt plug as well as most of the ports are on the right side so it interferes A LOT when you're plugging in an external mouse. but otherwise, it's definitely a solid choice! Have myself a Asus Vivobook Go 15 its a great laptop for myself who does some coding and assignments but i've should have gone with 16gb of ram instead of 8gb, so multitasking is limited for day to day task. Still the oled display is amazing.

Fr today was a hectic day for me, thankyou andres for making it a lot relaxing.
Actually I've actually used a vivobook 14 and it is a lot similar. Actually one of the cheaper versions ofcourse. But it ended up staying with me for quiet a bit. Worked for me on almost every single one of my used cases. The only problem I faced was the battery life and overheating. Working on it on my lap was scary cuz of the amount of heat put out while im editing something a bit big was kinda bad for my boys. But for the price it was the best in the market even now I guess.

6:31 You're totally wrong about the fan noise. It can get really loud and sometimes bothers people around me on heavy load. Most of the time, I have to switch it to standard or whisper mode when I'm at work. The laptop gets pretty quite in those modes but it sucks when you can't use the full power of your laptop when you need it. Overall it is a great laptop apart from the fan noise on heavy loads

for WORK - macbook air m1 - best laptop on the market (price = value), if you need windows lap top - lenovo thinkpad [any model] will be the best choice (price range from 150$ for 16gb ram 256ssd, and they are flexible in upgrade)
for GAMING Lenovо legion 4070 or MSI or HP with same GPU, cuz 140w on the graphick card is the most important things for games
