god i hope arcsys makes a rwby fighting game because i HATE how this is the only fighting game the characters are in. it feels like a crime because of how fun they look in this game if only this game wasn't bad
I remember a long time ago that someone managed to mod Ruby into BBCF, along with Weiss, Yu and Yosuke. Not palette swaps, full on character mods. -This comment reminded me of them, but I can't find those twitter videos again for the life of me- EDIT: modder had a youtube channel: @ScopeyDo
Well at least it's not Hokuto No Ken where you have multiple characters with straight up infinites. nothing like getting dribbled for 45 seconds straight.
On a real note I find that many dislike this game because they view it as oversimplified, once you get into it more you realize that being a 2 button fighter actually introduces interesting mechanical limitations. Plus where some characters are missing a few of their tools, others have new tools, and the system mechanics actually add so much complexity. BBTAG is easy to pick up, hard to master.
"One of the worst fighting games ever", still pulls off cool shit that puts most games of other genres to shame. Fighting game players are endearingly hard to please.
I did some sick shit with Wiess, even got to the master ranks. Grinded with her even when she was an incomplete unfinished character. Now she's great. Still hated the game. These two things can be mutually exclusive.
Game is garbo. Imagine being an avid BB fan and finally getting your hands on it thinking it's gonna be like BlazBlue Central Fiction but with a tag system only to play it and realize you wasted $100 on a collectors edition for nothing because it was supreme garbage. This was a starting point for ArcSystemWork's downwards spiral into casual trash.
its a little harsh but that kinda was my reaction a bit. it was wayyyyy too oversimplified but i feel like what dbfz did was fine (up until the last couple patches idk if they even playtested those). it was dissapointing though cause i loved centralfiction and i was expecting it to be a lot easier than cf but not to the point of it feeling like a 2 button game (even though its technically 3) i guess my main problem is just the feeling of it being like im not using all the buttons on my controller like cf or even strive. then again i havent really played this game super much these are mainly just my first impressions
Nah bro, there are way too many actually bad fighting games to put BBTag in those lower rosters.

honestly crosstags roster is really cool but to me i just wish it wasn't so simplified

The game is way more fun when you get a handle of the cross combo and active switch mechanics for neutral and pressure and stuff like that.
