Hey i was wondering what the requirments and the audition process is like to become apart of this group, i'm a highschool saxaphone player and i'm interested in going into playing as a degree and i wondered what i needed to do to join this group.
+TheMisterTango Unless you are a professional, I highly doubt you can move your slide when playing this at half note = 176, a good 20 beats faster than a normal performance of this march, and the tempo at which they are playing it.
The slide positions aren't far apart. But you are correct, I am far from a professional, but at the tempo the piece was originally written at, I can handle it no problem. My comment was not supposed to be me bragging, or bashing the performance. Yes, it is an impressive performance. I was only saying that (from what I can imagine at least) it is a more difficult piece on trombone because of the slide. Sorry if I came across as an ass.
My high school played this 2 years ago when all the trombones in first band were all staters. 2 were seniors 1 was a junior and a sophomore. They played really well. Too bad I was a tuba: (. Idk what they got at tmea but I know they didn't really try since they were just happy that all of them made it.
as a fellow saxophonist, this group has officially won the award of giving me the chills. that was beautiful and very impressive. o loved it!! 🎷❤
You did not say yet that it was FUNNY!
Suddenly I'm feeling every ounce of confidence I had in my sax playing slip away. Jesus, that was epic.
If they were marching to this they would run like usain bolt
i love when the trills happen, you can basically hear the saxophones in unison and also sort of singing, its so cool!
That E in ESP should stand for Epic because this was absolutely amazing.
I could've sworn I had pants on a second ago
Just catches you off guard man, especially with the bass saxaphone
Ayoo
Mother of God....
CRYING TEARS OF JOY RN, YES I WATCHED THIS VIDEO AGAIN 8 MONTHS LATER.
"How many saxophones do you have?"
ESP: "Yes."
"How skilled are your players?"
ESP: "Yes."
Amazing 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿
Cool idea for an intro! Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun. Great job.
How did they do the thing where it sounds like there throwing a ball ?
+Jovan Osborne It's a technique known as slap tonguing
yea I think we could do that at Westwood...if you know what I mean....🎷
Slap tongue
Slap tonguing beautifully done
I've had a lot of practice slap tonguing😏
I wasn't ready!
Who needs to run a mile to burn calories when you can move your fingers that fast....
jamesavatar5 Imagine moving the slide😒
And your tongue!
I love tennis and playing the saxophone so to me its the best of both worlds.
Wow, my Sax skills suddenly feel inadequate.
I prefer this march with a delayed stinger. Still, chops soup here. Love it.
this is amazing!
where them trombones at though
sir
Fr this our piece
This makes me very happy
Ahhh, tenor saxophones. How your lightness makes me smile :)

When they started I thought I was on 1.5x speed

Really feels like a WW1 dog fight

Why do I just want it to go faster
Well my Sax skills don't even compare to this
#3232432 on why saxophones rule the world.

Mega oof
Look at all of them sway 😂 they would be terrible marchers if they played like that
The mellow anger proximally moor because back consequentially explode notwithstanding a onerous bench. stiff, jealous celeste
The flowery bengal conventionally preach because onion originally spare between a wretched ear. wiry, venomous banjo
This is way too fast
