Just goes to show that you really don't need a big bike with ridiculous amounts of horses & tech to enjoy touring or riding in general. I think a lot of people are now realising this & its shown in the latest industry sales figures, with lower HP simple modern classics now ruling the roost. As the oft repeated line states: "Its more fun to ride a slow bike fast, than ride a fast bike slow". Thanks again for another great video.
There is something nice about few bells and whistles, funny you should include that quote, i'd not heard it before yesterday and it's come up several times! Thanks for viewing and taking the time to comment. Ride safe.
Thanks for taking us along on your trip and so glad you enjoyed your holiday break - albeit a soggy one
We most certainly did, glad you enjoyed it.
Another feel good video from you both 😁 thank you
It's our pleasure, glad you enjoyed it. Thank you, ride safe.
You are such a genuine and modest couple and your content is so relatable that every video is a pleasure to share. The RE Interceptor is a great machine at a very accessible price and is ‘as much bike’ as most of us will ever need. I see the new 650 Classic is now a reality so let’s look forward to when you can get a loaner to give us your unique perspective.
Cheers pal, it really is a great bike, you get a lot of bike for the price point. Ooh it would be awesome to try the 650 classic, will have to reach out to RE and see if they'll trust us. Thanks for your support and your comment. Ride safe
A great, genuine, real-world review with some lovely scenery thrown in! A real endorsement for the Royal Enfield.
Thanks pal, we really appreciate it
Loved the video - looking forward to your next one.
Cheers pal
She makes me smile. Thank you both. Love.
Thanks for watching. Ride safe
Good job… keeping it real and being entertaining too. Can’t wait for your next video - thanks.
Thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it
Hi youse thanks for filming this road trip enjoyed it a lot, coming off the top on snake is such a nice ride glad you showed it
Thanks for watching, glad you liked it
Motone custom or hitchcocks do a pillion relocation kit for the interceptor, it’s been our pleasure watching
Ah that's worth knowing, thanks for sharing. Ride safe
Nice vid. Your comments on the Enfield strike a chord with me, I've had mine 5 years, it replaced a 955i, I've been riding bikes for 50 years and I love it.
Thanks for your support, glad you enjoyed the video. Nice to hear you love your RE, they are a lot of fun. Ride safe.
and E! Looks like a brilliant trip! I'm glad you were able to get away for some free time. I do realize that it isn't all fun and joy as, I'm sure, there is considerable editing and more to do! Rest assured your work is reaching an appreciative audience. Oh, and let Royal Enfield know you made them a sale. We added an Interceptor to our family stable and your comments were of great value to us! Thanks again
Thank you for taking the time to comment and share such kind words. We will share your commment with RE. We hope you enjoy your inteceptor and create great memories. We are certainly enjoying the variety in content and learning new filming and editing skills. Thanks for your support. Ride safe
Love the back and forth between you and Emily.
Great video(s).
Thank you for commenting, the more comfortable we get the more our childish personality shines through haha! ride safe
This was great fun to watch. It whets my appetite for a RE just a little bit more.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching. Ride safe.
Watched all this series of videos and if I was in for a bigger bike yes it’s the way to go, I ride a hunter and 350 is big enough for me at max120 day trips around the lakes and dales, your a great couple down to earth no fancy nonsense true to form, thank you both and if manufacturers want honest test rides then they need you two,NW biker dude from Morecambe,
Thank you for watching, we are glad you enjoyed it. We had a lot of fun with this bike. The 350 sounds perfect for your trips around the Lakes, such a beautiful part of the country. Ride safe.
Well done guys really enjoyed that
A breath of fresh air 👍👍👍
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video, I owned an interceptor for a couple of years, great bikes. The passenger foot peg relocation, plates which you can buy from India for a good price make a big difference for the passenger. The seat you have on is the comfort seat, I found it good, especially after having the original seat on it, which I found very uncomfortable. I have a 2008 Bonneville now, which I love. Keep up the good work, well done
Thank you for commenting, glad you hear you enjoyed your Interceptor they are a fab bike. Hope you are enjoying your Bonneville, another lovely bike. Ride safe.
I enjoy all of your videos, obviously starting in the garage but would I watch more tours - definitely ! Hopefully if you do any tours next year you’ll take us along.
Glad you are enjoying a mix of in the workshop and trips out. We are certainly enjoying the new filming and editing challenges. We have a few more trips planned for this year yet, its not over! Thanks for commenting. Ride Safe
Great content guys, very professional production, you're really suited to this style of bike review whilst on a short trip/popping out for coffee etc, I hope you can do more of this kind of thing. I really like the workshop vids too, but this sort of series delivers tons of believable and welcome inspiration, thanks so much for sharing 💪🏼
Thank you for such kind words, that's really nice feedback. We are hoping to film more out of the workshop as we get more confident with it and settle in to a rhythm. Thank you for watching and commenting. Ride safe.
Just watched your video again. Agree 100% touring seat, bar risers and a little back (im 6ft), the gearbox, remember im breaking mine in, is sweet. Handling is damn good. Thanks both of you.
Great content thank you
Thanks for watching
Thankyou for taking us with you
Thank you for your support
Hi Guys.. i left a post before asking about your thoughts on the Black Ray because i just bought one but was 2 weeks from getting home to ride it. Today i put in 100kms of break-in miles, cool down cycles, and i have to say, its a damn nice bike. Touring seat maybe and bar risers but.. thank you to someone who commented that hitchcocks do a bar rising kit that hopefully i can get imported into the philippines. keep it up both of you.. great channel.
Great video. An honest review of a lovely bike. Sitting here in a hotel room watching this after doing a 2 day very very wet tour of the Cotswolds (there was a chap here on the tour on a beautiful RE 650). Would love to see you explore more parts of the UK on a bike, very watchable.
Glad you enjoyed it, you sound like you are having your own adventure. The cotswolds is beautiful whatever the weather. We hope you enjoy your trip and that you dry out and warm up quickly. Ride safe.
Love this, small bikes are great
It was so much fun
Great video as always !
Cheers pal, glad you enjoyed it
Really enjoyed your adventures travelling around Scotland on the little Interceptor.
Genuine ambassadors from genuine people.
I guess future longish rides will give you both the enjoyment & experience to venture out in all directions of the compass!
I also have your stickers on the side of my helmet proudly showing how great you folks are!
Now, back to work & back to Emily's world famous slippers!
Winter is coming as my summer is!
Cheers genuine kind folks.
Cheers pal, we are in between at the moment a mix of workshop and events out. Our calendar seems stacked out for Sept/Oct. It would be great in the future to venture out of the UK and do more touring. Hope you enjoy the summer. Ride safe.
Great video and real riding review, goes to show you don't need a big bike to have an adventure. Scotland has some lovely roads and even in the wet the scenery doesn't disapoint.
We really did have an adventure and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. A much needed change from the workshop, we aim to keep things more varied moving forward. Thanks for the support, ride safe.
What a lovely trip guys
Glad you had a good time . Bike behaved brilliantly two up and loaded by sound of it instilling confidence in doing these sort of trips.
Stay safe both of you, thanks for videos
Thanks for your support and for commenting. We are pleased you enjoyed this content. Ride safe.
Great trip you two. Enjoyed it a lot and the banter between you is great!. More please!..
Really pleased you enjoyed it. Thank you for your support and for watching. Ride safe.
Great video, thanks for sharing your trip have enjoyed the adventure.
Glad you enjoyed it
You're just the guy to find and figure out a non-upswept exhaust option so that larger capacity side cases can be mounted. Really like my GIVI E22N cases, but would love maybe 3-5 liters more per side in something aluminum. Guess their rear rack and top cases would be a good option too, but much prefer the aesthetic of just side cases. Cheers
A great little mini-series, really enjoyed that! I'm currently making my way through editing a mini series of my own of a trip I did in August on my Interceptor to France. I had the smallest bike of our group of three (the others were a Dyna Wide Glide and a GS1200 Adventure), but it held its own really well. They're great little bikes and I think I'd really struggle to let mine go now after owning it for over three years.
Oh wow a trip to France sounds brilliant. You'll have to share a link of it when you've finished it. The Interceptor is a great bike. Glad you enjoy yours. Ride safe.
@@TheWurks Day one of four - th-cam.com/video/yLIv5KuKweE/w-d-xo.htmlsi=HDregR540Ng63ZGb
Day two is up after that one, but I'm still working on Day three and Day four 😂
Would actually be quite interesting to see what someone with a more established channel like yours thinks of my newbie amateur editing! 😁
Thanks for the video.
Thank you for your support
just shows - a good test ride on r.e.'s basic 650 ,, no frills ,, good price,, two up ,, ---passed the allrounder test in my view ;;;
Excellent to pass the allrounder test, it really is a great bike. Thanks for the comment
Enjoyed following you both on your trip. I'm looking forward to trying the 650 classic when that is released, to compare with my Interceptor.
Thanks for following the trip, you wil have to let us know what you think. Ride safe
You took the words right out of my mouth/keyboard.
Great video and a superb review, love the show as always.
Cheers pal, thanks for watching.
How did you find Matlock, the Peak District "mecca" 😂 I'm lucky in that it's only 25 minutes away but there's so much more to explore around here and much more exciting on a bike than in a car. I think there's a comfier touring seat available for the Interceptor 😊 Did you get your license Emily? I first came across your channel when you were working on the Mutt .
We hadn't been through Matlock for a long time, we were really surprised at how much investment has been made. There were lots of places to choose from for food/drink and some lovely shops. The Peak District roads are most certainly better on a bike, couldn't agree more. I didn't, I rode the Mutt for a little while but couldn't shake the feeling of vulnerability. I don't feel unsafe with Joe, struggled to find confidence in myself. I still toy with the idea of giving it another go one day. Maybe in the summer months if I try again. Thanks for commenting. Ride safe
Great video… had the Interceptor for a couple of years now and the Motone Customs bar risers do the trick. My Mrs always comes along as pillion nowadays and a switch to the YSS GT shocks as really made the ride sublime. 😎
Sounds like you are creating some great memories together, those modifications sound like they've really improved your experience of the bike. Ride safe
Brilliant, stunning views and a great bike to do it on. So pleased you both had a fab time with so many memories, I hope your well rested after that amount of miles haha i may see you around the peaks one day and possibly into Matlock 😎 take care
Thanks for the comment, we were certainly in need of a rest when got home. If you ever do catch us out and about be sure to come and say Hi. Ride safe
Glad 😊 u had a good time, stayed in a good place then
It was a lovely place, felt like we had plenty of time to explore and see what was on offer. Thank you for commenting. Ride Safe
Argh! The old visor slap. Haha. Really enjoyed those episodes. I've had an interceptor for a month now after passing my test and I love it, been alot around north wales, snowdonia and elan valley.
Is the phone mount on the crossbar the quad lock mirror mount?
Cheers
Sounds like you have created some brilliant memories on your Interceptor. North Wales has some beautiful scenery. Yes, the mount is the mirror mount. Ride safe, thanks for commenting
Another great vid you want to give the super meteor a try the same engine but with more comfort I tested one and ended up buying one with touring seat and screen
Dont like to BSA the new look no . The radiator looks crap. The Triumph look cool. Haven't ridden one yet but could you tell me which is the better ride. I am 65 years old and have ridden everything at this point . Jeans now that's another question . I don't have the cash that Freddie has so a London firm not on . I need a good budget pair of biker jeans . Your both so funny and i love your streams . As a bike Mechanic i really appreciate your tech streams . Thanks 👍👍👍
Hi love your streams . What head sets are you using . My wife has decided to go out on the bike with me for the first time in 40 years so i need to make sure that we can talk on the bike. We have HJC lids my lid is a flip up . Love the bike i am buying a new bike later this year and i have to say the the Interceptor looks just about right . HP is so important to me as i was thinking about the RE Hym buy the HP is far to low for me.
Royal Enfields eat miles, even the small ones. I've done ten hours on my Himalayan before, and it never skipped a beat. Granted, I'd rather do eight, or six, but, if pressed, I can ride longer.
They really do munch up the miles well. We were really impressed at the bikes performance. Ride safe, enjoy your Himalayan.
Hi folks
Joe, what is the name/ brand of your jacket ?
Joe's jacket is a Belstaff Brooklands. It's quite old now but they offer a brilliant repair/re waxing service which we have used to keep it looking tidy. Ride safe
Joe, Can I ride pillion with you!?!?!?!
I would LOVE to see this!
Make a good second bike
It is a great bike.
Great stuff guys, love your style.
Thank you for your support and for commenting. Glad you enjoyed it. Ride Safe
