Recent campaign ads by Missouri Senator Josh Hawley feature swimmer Riley Gaines, who complains that she was “forced to compete against a man,” referencing transgender swimmer Lia Thomas. Gaines implies she was somehow cheated by Thomas, who was born male. But Gaines and Thomas tied for fifth place. That’s right, Gaines didn’t lose to a “man” but to four other cisgender women. If Thomas had some advantage from being born male, wouldn’t she have beaten Gaines instead of being tied with her? (And there was no mention of anyone holding a gun to Gaines’ head. She could’ve refused to compete if she didn’t like the NCAA rules.) Gaines even received a trophy for her efforts, the same one she claims she didn’t get because it went to Thomas. (In fairness, Thomas received her trophy at the competition while Gaines’ was sent to her later because there was only one fifth place trophy available but she still got her trophy.) Truthfully, Gaines should be grateful. In the Olympics, fifth place doesn’t get you squat. Further, the competition took place in February, 2022, two and a half years ago, and yet Gaines is still harping about it. That seems to be a thing with Republicans these days, crying “foul” when you lose, or even proactively crying “foul” ahead of time when you think you might lose. I wonder where they got that idea? Part of competing in any form of athletics is sportsmanship, and part of sportsmanship is losing graciously. Get over it. You didn’t lose to a “man,” you just plain lost. The above mentioned ad calls support for transgender rights “nuts.” More “nuts” than claiming you didn’t receive a trophy you actually received? More “nuts” than still blaming the rules for a race you lost fair and square two and a half years ago? Sounds pretty “nuts” to me. For your education on the topic Craig...
I feel so much different about Paul Sr.. after seeing how laid back he really is in person. Makes me want to go by his shop sometime when I'm in the Florida area.
I love your videos Craig, you and Dan make me smile with every upload. This really isn’t a burn of you, but I was surprised at “she was the swimmer girl who had to compete against the swimmer guy who dressed like a girl” You could talk about trans people a lot more respectfully - regardless of your views on trans people in sport.
11:18 "... swimmer guy that dressed like a girl." Ugh. That is... Someone very close to me "dresses like a girl," as he put it. I would never put it that way and she wouldn't either. You can think they shouldn't be in sports and still respect their existence. Those are two different things. Okay, nevermind. I'm going to leave the politicin' to the politics and just talk bikes. 3:13 I love the Paul Senior-ception with the shirt that has a picture on it that looks exactly like he actually looks. Did he take a selfie that day and then print a shirt to wear the same day? That's what it looks like. That red and silver bike is so sick but it sounds weird. Why does the exhaust sound tin-ey and weird? And that front fender looks like it's one bump from scraping. It's so low on the bottom side of it. I live in Northeast Florida. I should ride down there to Paul's one day. Florida has some really awesome bike routes along the coast and through some of the forests. The US-1 route is awesome. I'm close to St. Augustine. I could take US-1 all the way to the Keys.

They were only ever tax write offs and promotional material
The regular bikes they build are riders
It's a shitty tax write off, you're buying an asset that you to depreciate over several years instead of being able to directly expense like regular advertising.
@@Senthiuz assets like Entire broadcast ready tv shows have been cancelled as a tax write-off, a it's all how you frame it
Such a great idea to get together like this collab. It brings fans together & gives the content from different perspectives. This is what TH-cam should be.
good to see Paul sr. has humor about his past blow ups...
watching this, while my Furnace tech fixing, cleaning my furnace, costing me money...😆😆😆
It does feel like the recent 'drama' was played up like him playing the character of him from the show
This was a really fun vid Craig! Thanks for sharing the experience. Looking forward to more of this "build-off"!
Really dont get the negativity, all this is about is having some fun building bikes and raising money for charity
Yeah but still he said some things in his calling out vid that really spoke and then you could see in his face him trying to be nice they have respect for them and he doesn't have the same respect seeing them as a lesser and he couldn't be more wrong
As I see it anyhow still its cool to have money for charity
19:56 Sean turning the ratchet with his fingers 😂 Loving this content and seeing y’all welcoming a legend to the TH-cam community!
Hope this isn't cheating but I've already decided my vote goes to you Craig before the build even starts 🤣
Well, that was an immediate given. 🤷
hey you got to give me a shot, i might surprise yall
I love that you buried the hatchet and came together, super classy guys love you all
I don't understand the need for the transphobic comment, it was ignorant and needlessly cruel? Why would you be arrogant enough to think that it's ok comment on how another human being identifies?
He’s that type of person and only edited the video because he was suffering backlash.
Time stamp?
That section has been deleted now and the video uploaded again
@@andypglc666 bit weak, unless he mentions it next video. hopefully he actually acknowledges it. He's a grown man, he can take responsibility and move on
Great to see you both with Paul Sr and looking fwd to the build
She could’ve refused to compete if she didn’t like the NCAA rules.)
Gaines even received a trophy for her efforts, the same one she claims she didn’t get because it went to Thomas. (In fairness, Thomas received her trophy at the competition while Gaines’ was sent to her later because there was only one fifth place trophy available but she still got her trophy.)
Truthfully, Gaines should be grateful.
Yea when I heard Craig's comments and being excited to say Gaines name I was full on cringe and disappointed there
I was disappointed he added that
Born with a penis. Not a she a he who has a problem
@@dechnik Yeah I'm out I don't need hatred in my motorcycle content. There are many other that dont do that stuff.
@@skunkworks__ same. it's super disappointing tbh, I really liked this channel
You guys are all nuts. In a good way! Have fun with the build off. Great video. Thanks.

I feel so much different about Paul Sr.. after seeing how laid back he really is in person. Makes me want to go by his shop sometime when I'm in the Florida area.
Rooting for a youtube resurgence from OCC.
That's awesome! Glad to see you guys and Paul having a good time together!
I love your videos Craig, you and Dan make me smile with every upload. This really isn’t a burn of you, but I was surprised at “she was the swimmer girl who had to compete against the swimmer guy who dressed like a girl”
You could talk about trans people a lot more respectfully - regardless of your views on trans people in sport.
It's a diss about unfair people&cheaters....but that's not how you want to perceive it uh?
@@Astrodicted you have quite an imagination.
Reality hurts huh?
Don’t expect me to participate in your delusions.
@@mycosys Thx, i also like biology. Any other amazing arguments?
such a fun episode, you all are so natural together, looking forward to the build off
That guy behind the counter. At the H*rley dealership. Typical. In a stereoscopic kind of way.
Mannnnn Paul Sr. guns still look good. I hope to look good at that age. That bike rides smooth 😎.
11:18 "... swimmer guy that dressed like a girl."
Ugh.
