  • Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays, today we're going to tour Novi High School's mechanical rooms as shown.
I want to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Mr. Kane for taking me into behind the scenes of this building. This would not have been possible without Mr. Kane. He's our assistant principal in administrative faculty at the Novi High School.
We're going to be touring the mechanical rooms listed here:
    room 232
    room 240
    auditorium mechanical room
    fieldhouse mechanical room
    basement fieldhouse electrical/mechanical room
    room 121
    room 137
room 193 (that room never had a room number since it was skipped, so I gave that room one)

Nice , i retired from a ilschool dist..i was the heating and air mechanic..i spent 35 yrs .there . We also had a 1930, s pipe organ in the gym a theatre pipe organ .i learned how to do work on that from the pipe organ club chapter..it had about a 1000 pipes on bothe side of the stage..good tour. I did keep the boiler room neat and clean and the maintenance done up to par ..save tax payers money..

Sounds like a very cool place to work! A large, high-end 1930s school would have also very likely had a central vacuum system in it...did yours?

1:11 Central vacuum system, a Spencer Turbine! I swore I caught a fleeting glimpse of an inlet on the wall in the hallway!!

Again at 2:10 "What's this blue thing?" That's the Spencer Turbine central vacuum cleaner. Its a vacuum cleaner connected to ports in the walls where you plug a long hose in and vacuum with.

The inlet port is plain as day on the wall if you pause it at 0:01

@@compactc9 Spencer Turbine is also famous for organ blowers, they use the same design.

What’s the point of the video? Beating as in your not HVAC or anything like that.
I’m trying to figure out what would someone give access to this room or others to someone without full knowledge of the workings a what their completely dealing with.

@@AquaTech225 I got permission from my assistant principal which was Mr. Kane in Novi High School in Novi Michigan. And yes I have disclosed the location, although usually I would not be disclosing school locations. I only did this, particularly because this school is extremely famous.

The kid clearly is into HVAC and Building Systems. Let him enjoy a sneak peak of how it work. Not everyone wants to waste money in College and get a useless degree. This kid will be making good money in just a few years from vocation school, and from his attitude and interest will be very good at it!

@@StereoMike06 definitely wasn’t hating. Was trying to figure out if this was something that was involved with some type of business in some fashion or something like that. But knowing he didn’t know everything what he was looking at. I knew he wasn’t actually involved in the HVAC field.
Atleast fully involved as a tech. Or something like that. An couldn’t figure out what was the purpose behind it.
But ain’t nothing wrong with what he’s doing. If he does go into one of the trades. Even knowing some of what he does know. Will help. An nothing wrong with being curious of different systems etc.
an learning an getting an understanding of the workings of things.

ya didn’t need to put the name out. I’ve personally never heard of it. Was just curious if this was part of some possible business situation of some type of walk through for some reason or what was going on.
But being that you mentioned a principle. If you go to school for any of the trades. Just knowing an exploring the things you have.
Will definitely put you ahead of many others that would be entering also.
That’s cool though was just curious. Pretty cool they let ya go through if though
