Total fail charging back in after a shatter. That is a good way to wipe your group. To all warrior and bear tanks, do not use your charge after a shatter. Ozruk will always cast his ground slam right after shatter. If you charge through the boss he will turn around his ground slam will be directed right at your group. Just run back in. When he ground slams run behind and pull him back towards the group then turn him around again. Its simple.
Man, this boss took us a while to beat, I am the tank. At first the group said you had to jump to avoid the attack, which thanks to yogscast I found out wasn't the case... once you get timing and the fight down it is cake... this fight is all dependent on the tank... and a bit on melee running out at the right time. As always, thanks yogscast, your guides are the best I have found, and hilarious. :)
Ran it tonight for the first time, took us 6 tries, but the 6th try we all just clicked on it and had no problems... ended the fight at 100% hp and most of a mana bar on the healer. GG blizz, great fight.

@gothpimp1 actually the dot works on an individual basis - so you'll need your own dot on him. your dot clears your paralyze so yes, i play a druid as well and you do need to moonfire him when the spell shield is up... or just take the damage but - that's dangerous because you can't guarantee the tank will position him well enough to not have shatter kill you. if the rest of the party is playing it right there's not a lot of damage in this fight anyway.

It's worth noting that as a hunter you have no way to remove the paralyze yourself as explosive shot/black arrow/serpent sting are not considered spells and so cannot be spell reflected and all hunter ranged attacks are considered ranged and not melee so they do not cause the dot. Because of this the paralyze must be dispelled if there is a hunter in the group. And having the hunter run into melee is not a good idea as the timing is very hard to do and would likely cause their death.
@kameya87 make sure your tank doesnt remove the buff, warriors will shield slam it away. The dot you put on is enough to keep you going trough paralize. Our shaman healer has no problems in here as long as I hold back with shield slam ;)
As I prot pally I find that tanking him against 1 wall, sidestepping ground slam then rotating him 90 degrees so he's facing away from the group ( which means you've already got a headstart on the run for shatter as your not running through him) then running to the other wall for rinse and repeat, took a couple of times to iron out kinks bit this guy is faceroll now!

As a tank, you HAVE to turn him away from the party. When he starts casting Ground Slam just run behind him. Easy boss if you do it properly, otherwise he will one shot you.
@ilovehell666 Ive played since Vanilla and some of THESE bosses are much much harder than the BC "heroics". Vanilla was full of broken mechanics and one button spamming. BC was an upgrade with the new loot systems and rewards. Wrath had great stuff but the gear way out scaled the content and they nerfed most the hard heroics. Now we are here and a couple of the heroics are like mini raids encounters. Overall a lot of fun if your patient.
I dont think intervene is a good idea. He is going to ground slam right after shater sometimes it will hapen very quickly. If he is facing the group its a wipe.
@Beyond13337 Well yeah, but that's quite out of the way to go for one ability in one boss in one heroic that you might do once a week if you're unlucky(as Stonecore really is not PuG friendly).
@EspenHW go melee when he casts paralyse. to be safe i melee him (behind the boss to avoid ground spike) when he casts spike shield.after paralyse is casted, go range again.

Has anyone noticed that when he charges, in his button bar Charge gets instantly replaced by Intercept? How does he do that, is it the addon? Which addon is it, bartender?
tried him first time tonight had 7 attempts and it was because i was just lagging slightly to not come out of the shatter in time... had the vid before boss... any suggestions? I am feral druid and for those you don't know stampeding roar has a 2 min cd.

This boss sucks as a shammy healer, i never just meleeing him would prevent the stun tho. I only have 1dot and everytime i use it its bad timing or something then i have a 6second cd to wait for and try again, which usually still doesnt work. Ive healed every heroic so far but this boss still gives me issues
@S200069 i have the same problem and im a prot pally also i just cant get so far that the shatter wont hit me no matter how hard i try to run everything else is fine but that shatter just dont like me
@Throthgar What is funny is that Druids never had any tanking talents all the way through Vanilla. And I can ASSURE you, Druids NEVER EVER TANKED in vanilla. NEVER! Warriors were the ONLY tanks in Vanilla, I should know, I was one of them.; all the way through Naxx 40 ... never EVER saw ONE druid/Pally tank.
it sucks when the tank is bad, I've tried with 4 random tanks they still didn't get it, one tank came with a dps I told the dps don't dispel the reflect fight starts he instant dispels the reflect and leaves the grp along with the tank. stupid....
if ur an arcane mage how to you do this fight without dieing from the paralyse since arcane mages have no dots to reflect back to me. (p.s. hate fire spec i know half u people will say choose fire but fire spec makes the fight way longer then it has to be)
i m just having trouble with this boss..... every Heroic, i m very good with it, ground slam i m fine with it, but shatter .... seems like i cannot get out of it no matter what ..... even i got out i cannot get back to a good position for his incoming groud slam, n that hit my group ....... btw i m prot pally =( i need more pratice on this freak.
Meh took me about 7 wipes to get a rhythm to this fight, if you don't time trying to reposition him to a T you are in danger of having him facing your group with ground slam.... another thing is to be quick on your feet, be ready for paralysis so you can run from the shatter. Get the your rhythm he's cake

There was never such thing as "reduce chance to crit" in vanilla, it was only "increase to defence skill". You are making a total tit of yourself by posting old talents. You tanked "through vanilla as a prot pally", tanked what? UBRS? I can guarantee you never tanked in a raid.

Protips: Don't use gimmick skill like heroic leap and intervene. Quick turn 180 to avoid shatter.

elemetium bulkward does not reflect a 20% of spells , in heroic it reflect 100% of spells atm ( it can be stolen by a mage )

Tanks & melee are supposed to los him for the shatter.
This only used to be hard until you got LFR.. and some gear
