I followed Total Biscuit's strat of tanking the boss in the hallway, that way the adds dont spawn at two different sides of the room, they just run through the doorway. Made it much easier to lock them down and keep them interrupted.
Thanks for sharing the strategy. Our attempt was to kill adds first then on the boss. This goes horribly wrong. So next time i'll just interrupt the boss on my warrior, then back on the boss. I lost so many dps on the boss just because I felt the need to burn the adds down. Any next time i go to sfk again, this information can come to a good way to face this encounter.
If you're having doubts 'bout kiting it to the hallway, kite it to the courtyard instead. It's guaranteed no more adds spawn. We tried to have him at the hallway, and it failed. Next time we had him at the courtyard, no problems.
gnomes are awesome btw. yesterday i did the fight pretty easily, had a good pally tank, then another pally healer. our 3 dps were a hunter, a mage(me), and a lock. what we did was simply when the adds came out we nuked the officer first then the other one... then the boss. our positioining was mage, hunter, healer and lock all on stage with the tank and boss where we came in from. worked well
This boss can be made very trivial all you need to do is aggro him and kite him into the courtyard. The two adds with him will follow, but no other add will spawn for the rest of the fight!
You should have you and the group stand on the opposite sides of where you were. You're in a perfect position to let the adds attack your group, which is just dumb, and has no advantages.

This is way better than your other guide. This fight is the hardest in there by far.

Just have someone with a good movespeed buff pull him and run to the courtyard, kill the first adds and then he doesn't spawn more.
