How did you record this? I have windows xp and when I try to record gameplay of diablo 1 it always plays back black/technicolor.. I can record almost every other game I have perfectly except diablo, any suggestions? I use Hypercam 2
There's no party/team in Diablo 1 game, so yeah, not only that we could do that in this game, but it was the only possibility in that game. Friendly fire can't be disabled.
Hey man srry for replying late. But, you should try the THE HELL mod for diablo 1 mod. Yes, go deeper into the dungeons to get better gear. Then go fight the butcher.

i may sound like a complete noob but just recently i got diablo for pc and the game doesnt give you much of a tutorial so my questions are: 1.You can play multiplayer?!??! 2. im level 3 and facing the butcher am i supposed to go deeper into the dungeon to level up then go back down to level two to fight him? 3. Is there a tutorial i missed?

Albeit, when torchlight 2 is finally released, I'll probably retire from D3, since itemization/item count/monsters/rooms/etc will be far superior.
just clear lvl 1 & 2 and sell all you could find to Griswold and Adria, then spend all gold on Griswolds premium items......It was allways enough to kill the Butcher without going to next few levels and returning after leveling up.

Some of those ways are unrealistic, because the butcher is your first quest and your character wouldn't have the stone curse skill.

the quickest way I did it was opening a town portal. right up the middle of his tender parts - one shot, one kill.

My method (solo). Ignore his existence until the 4th lvl of the dungeon, Then go back and slice him to bits.

Solo Mode: Go to the Blood fountain, Strike, recharge, Strike, recharge. Repeat.
