  • The Complete Holy Bible - NIVUK Audio Bible - 6 Joshua
    Read by David Suchet
    Quick Summary of the book of Joshua:
    Moses’ successor, Joshua, leads the children of Israel across the Jordan River (parted miraculously by God) and into Canaan. God overthrows the city of Jericho by knocking its walls down. Joshua leads the people in a successful campaign to conquer the whole of Canaan. With a few exceptions, the Israelites remain faithful to their promise to keep their covenant with God, and God blesses them with military victories. After the land is subdued, the Israelites divide Canaan into separate territories, giving each of the tribes of Israel a lasting inheritance.
    ===
    May the Lord bless you as you listen to his word :)
    Have a blessed day!

      @@nickybaker1338 First off, there's absolutely no way you could even begin to demonstrate that any such afterlife or souls exist, even if you wanted to. However that's not relevant to the reasoning your ilk is using to literally justify the mass slaughter of innocents.
      You literally were charged with supporting and condoning a book that lionizes murdering children by the sword, and your response is, "but muh soul is eternal, life is temporary!" - you're such a pathetic person, and I hope someday you realize how evil the god of the bible actually is.

    I would highly encourage sticking with the King James version.
    If you want to publish a book, it has to be YOUR book. Alterations have been made to any translation after the King James.
    Different words and phrases are used in the NIV/ESV which means the context is different.
    I would recommend getting a Strong's concordance and a Noah Webster's 1828 dictionary. They're both really helpful study tools.
    God bless!

    No one in my view could get past the first 5 books of the Old Testament and come out of it thinking god is love or does these things out of love. Jealous god who demands worship, sacrifice and stoning to death. We don’t need a devil, as it looks like god doesn’t mind getting his hands dirty after all. Only good thing about him is he’s honest about his evil intent and doings.
