I helped my grandfather in the late 1950's and early 60's. He had a Case 1951 model that looked identical to this. He used the belt wheel to run a hammer mill, the PTO for a hay baler. Brought back memories
@@mfranzusan3014 All I remember is the bales came out faster than I could handle them. He had a wagon on the back of the baler and the bales went up a chute for me to stack.
@@mfranzusan3014 It was also a Case, used twine and did rectangular bales. Was a good system, the only problem was the knot tying would need adjustments. Straw bales were pretty light, but hay could be really heavy for a scrawny kid.
IN the 1930s 1940s 1950s there was a lot of flat belt work done w tractors alot equipment had its own engine that all changed in the mid 1950s when it was changed 2 PTO driven equipment and later on they went 2 LIVE PTO 😊😊 U could stop the tractor 🚜 😊 the equipment kept running when had 2 stop and let the baler clear it self when it needed 2 alot of flat belt equipment was still used until the 1950s and later and even chopping corn 🌽 😊 and alot of other uses also most of all teactors pulled a many of woodsaws years ago 2 cut round stove wood be 4 chainsaws were available and popular the old chainsaws were slow 😮😮 alot better than buck saw or a 2 man cross cut saw or a axe and a wegde 2 cut wood alot of people back then used round wood and went 2 the sawmill and got slab wood also I still the sawmills from when I was a kid U could hear every line the sawyer sawed the power unit was singing 🎶 😊 in the wind w straight exhaust pipe even better 2 carry the sound w a good breeze or wind 🍃 😊 I seen uncle rob do the swmill 😊🎉 dance A many of times he would get light on his feet and dance 2 the power unit singing 🎶 😊 the sawmill song and dancing w the carriage all at the same time ⌚ 😊 go ahead uncle rob pull the rachet and let it sing another line 😊😅🎉😂❤😊/🎉😂❤ 🎉😅😊 OMG 3 23 2O24

@@woodwaker1 that's impressive! Do you remember what make or model the baler was?

@@woodwaker1 did it run off the PTO? Or was it powered by an engine?

This film 📽️ makes a good "case" for JI Case tractors
The VAC was always one of my favorites. In a few places they were making an obvious poke at Ford.
Nice garden tractor.
The case va an vac and the ford 8n best looking tractors in my opinion
Many of these were used by highway departments to mow roadsides.
Well darn it I wanna sit on the seat...
Here’s a video for crazy d equipment.
Exactly.

I hereby pronounce you guilty! GUILTY! GUILTY! GUILTY!
