Hi Paul. I went to their website and ordered a pair but when I went to check out the postage went from 6.50 euro to 59 euro so that’s a shame. Not paying that much
@@fullthrottle300zx I must admit having experience in this myself, e-commerce websites are very difficult to set up automated freight calculations without getting a lot of custom dev work done, so you have to put some blanket fee that covers you for most countries. Could be what they are doing. BTW, thinking about this hooking system last night I realised that if using the Baitmate tool I could have the same free swimming live bait. I must try this out next chance I have. Should do the same thing, and once you have the Baitmate tool, it would work out far cheaper in the long run.
@ I’m going to have a go at making them myself. I have found the clipping mechanism so need to work out how to secure it to a hook. I’ll let you know how I go
Thanks Jason, would love to get to visit and fish there one day! hanks for watching and hope my channel helps your fishing as you get into it. You'll find plenty of content to help on the channel, so hope you get to try out some of the fishing techniques we use here in Australia. Some of the fish species are similar too. Fishing is highly addictive and doing it from a ski just so much sweeter and somewhat "purer" when you have a good day! As you will learn, not all days are great, but that makes the good days so much sweeter!
Thanks MD. These sharks are definitely a problem these days. Need some spearos to go diving at this reef and scare them away! :) I'm very surprised that there hasn't been more shark attacks on swimmers recently. The sharks are out there in really big numbers. Even riding back across Moreton Bay recently I had to swerve around about a 10foot hammerhead that was on the surface, and also recently when I stopped between Peel and Cleveland, within a minute I had a big shark sitting under the ski. I could see it on the sounder just drifting along with me.
Thanks Rick. The live bait always works best for me as long as they are there. Of course you can also try the other ways- hard bodied lures trolled (Halco, Nomad etc) , and also marlin skirts will get the odd Mackerel. The skirts are also more likely to attract Wahoo too. But slow trolled livvies saves you a stack of fuel too! :)
cheers! The sharks are really a huge problem over the last 9 months or so, and by the reports Ive heard it's all over the country too. I hope it's just.a seasonal thing locally and they haven't moved in permanently!
Hi Paul, do you keep the engine running when jigging and reef fishing to minimise water entering the engine hence oil? I have had water in the oil due to water entering via exhaust when drift fishing. The mechanic said it is due to long periods of swell pushing water into the exhaust. I have heard of inboard boats having the same issue.
I do keep the engine running but it’s generally for keeping the lines vertical. There’s always a current running so to give you more jigging time I run the engine and do circles around the line. On the Yamaha I d never had water in the oil but you’ll sometimes need to crank the engine a few times in swell after sitting as apparently the water pushed the exhaust gases back into the cylinders and will need a few cranks to clear . I guess what I’d suggest is to turn the ski 180 degrees to current to offer less chance of water pushing in.
Hi Herb. Yes I use to use a system called "BB Talkin". At the time there was no Aussie seller, so I had to buy off some company in Japan, and I found it quite difficult to deal with them. They also charged me the local VAT which I shouldn't have had to pay despite informing them of it being an export order. Overall, not cheap and poor distributor communication, but the units did work reasonable well to around 70-100M, depending on how flat the seas were. Very water resistant, had geat battery life around 6-7 hrs, but the issue I had was that the caps and hats they supply with the system are black and ugly! Plus I had trouble with their mobile app and could not get the app to record the conversations. I needed this to enhance the videos I make. Maybe I'll try again soon and see if they have improved the system! There is an Aussie reseller now, and maybe if they supported me I could try again! :) Would be great promotion for then and likely to see far more units sell. I must admit it added a lot to the day out being able to speak to each other, the banter and laughs along the way, the swearing (!) , but the added safety for riders, especially when doing bar crossings, was great.. Because I couldn't record the conversations though I was spoiling the flow of the videos with one-sided conversations, and it made it harder to edit. So I gave it up eventually. I have seen some other brands come onto the market using the same Bluetooth duplex transmission, but I think from memory these were more expensive than BB Talkin, and had less mounting options.
Wow, Sharks are out of control.... Been a lot of shark attacks recently around the country, only a matter of time before someone gets taken in SE Queensland.....thanks for the video Paul
Hi there, a friend gave them to me and he got them from South Africa. I have posted in the pinned comments where they are from, but I have made inquiries to them to stock and they don't respond to me. I am having second thoughts about promoting them if they don't bother to respond to trade inquiries.
Hi all, thanks for watching the video. There's a lot of interest in the bait hook. It is from an Italian company called Top Game Fishing.

Nice one. So good advice for us spearo's there as well. Incoming tide, use the sounder. Pressure points around rocky headlands tend to hold them.
No worries. Happy hunting!
Good Video Paul 👏👏👏
thanks Marcel!
Got to hate those bloody sharks!! great vid mate 👏

Cool video, what are the hooks called and where do you get them from, thanks.

Hey Paul. Where do get those bait hooks from ? Do you sell them ?
