462APAST and 462CPAST: These models provide a 25-inch patient surface, ideal for standard patient care scenarios.
462DPAST: Specifically engineered for larger patients, this model offers an expanded 30-inch patient surface, ensuring safety and comfort for bariatric patients.
Robust Weight Capacities for Maximum Safety
The 462EMCST and 462GMCST models support up to 500 lbs, offering ample capacity for a wide range of patients.

Enhanced Mobility and Safety with 8-Inch Tente Casters
All 462 Horizon Series stretchers come standard with 8-inch Tente casters, paired with a central brake and steering system that ensures smooth and secure movement. The red pedals are designated for braking, while the green pedals control steering. These pedals are conveniently located at all four wheels, making it easy for staff to secure the stretcher when needed. For added safety, always lock the caster braking system and place the side rails in the upright, locked position whenever the patient is not in transport or left unattended.
Effortless Steering and Navigation
Activate the stretcher’s steering mode by fully depressing the green pedal, which deploys the fifth wheel for enhanced maneuverability. To release the fifth wheel or disengage the steering lock, simply press down on any of the four red pedals until they are parallel to the floor, allowing all four casters to rotate and swivel freely.
Adjustable Height for Optimal Patient and Caregiver Comfort
Adjusting the stretcher height is simple-press the pump pedal to the floor until the desired height is reached. To lower the litter top, press down on both release pedals simultaneously until the litter reaches the required height.
Enhanced Comfort with Trendelenburg and Reverse Trendelenburg Positions
The 462 Horizon Series stretchers with Retractro rails offer 16 degrees of Trendelenburg and 16 degrees of reverse Trendelenburg positioning, providing enhanced patient safety and comfort during treatment. To achieve Trendelenburg, press down on the release pedal closest to the head-end until the desired position is reached. For Reverse Trendelenburg, use the pedal closest to the foot-end.
Easy Fowler Positioning
Activate the fowler position by gripping the fowler frame tube and the red release lever, then lift the fowler to the desired height. Lower it slightly to engage the ratchet, and ensure it is securely locked by applying slight downward pressure. To stow the fowler position, pull the red release handle toward the outer edge of the back section and lower the fowler into its stowed position.
Customizable Knee Flex for Patient Support
Raising or lowering the knee flex is straightforward-flip the crank upward and rotate it clockwise to raise, or counter-clockwise to lower, until the desired position is reached. Then, return the crank handle to its original position for secure support.
Versatile Rail Positions for Enhanced Safety
The 462 Horizon Series stretchers with Retractro rails feature side rails that can be adjusted into three positions: full, half, and lowered. This flexibility ensures maximum patient safety during transfers and procedures, while also offering easy access for caregivers.
Convenient IV Pole and Easy Maintenance
The standard IV pole is strategically located on the right center of the cross frame at the head end of the stretcher, providing easy access for caregivers. Additionally, the stretchers are equipped with a thermoformed base cover that is easy to clean and includes an oxygen tank holder and ample storage space.
