Thank you Joe for another great interview. I think these are all wonderful to listen to. I hope you'll post more -- I know you were concerned about backlash from fans, but even if I don't care for a person all that much, and their memories may not be consistent with other people's accounts, I think it's very interesting to listen to them talk about their own experiences, memories, thoughts, etc., Ms. Cocke's description of his being shy, his insomnia, his extreme generosity, (to a fault), his love for his mother, are consistent with many other accounts. I also liked that she didn't share his medical condition(s) -- that information would be confined within the doctor/patient confidentiality relationship.

I love hearing Ms. Cocke talking about Elvis and can't wait to find her book and read it. She got the doctors to stop working on Elvis the day he died cause she knew he was already gone.
Marian also did charity events at the Peabody Hotel after Elvis had passed to honor his legacy and the proceeds went to various local charities. It's nice to hear interviews where people who knew him have kind and loving things to say. We will never know who did what for him. Elvis looked to both nurses as motherly figures in his life. I'm glad he had them when he needed that attention.
Hey @jkreine82, Tish Henley was his nurse who was supposed to be dispensing drugs via Nichopolous's prescription pad. Why did Elvis need Marion Cocke to go to Graceland for the period she states.
Tish Henley was Elvis' Nurse and lived on the Graceland grounds from 1972 until 1977. Marian Cocke exaggerates a lot of her stories. She was a nurse at Baptist Memorial Hospital.
At about 14 minutes in, she mentions Tish. I'd have to relisten, but I believe she says she was leaving Graceland and she did run into Tish there, so that makes sense to me.
When did Ms. Cocke pass away? I spoke by phone with her approximately 8 to 10 years ago when she sent me the CD that she released. I was going to bring her lunch back then but it never happened.
I know someone who lets his little dog bark A LOT. When I'm talking, he allows it to bark loudly and incessantly with the regularity of a beeper timed to perfect one second intervals. When _he's_ talking, he tells the little dog to "cut it out" or "SHUT UP". Sometimes I lose track of what I'm trying to say because I'm so distracted. So, the barking here set my teeth on edge. I realize it's a personal problem for me....
I've read in several of the Memphis mafia books & interviews Elvis & some of the guys didn't care very much for her in reality. Has for me I don't care very much for Buttons her dog that ruined this interview.

Mrs. Cocke seemed to be one of the precious few who genuinely loved and protected Elvis. If only the rest of the people around him were more like her.

Marian Cooke was a great lady. She was so good to Elvis and he liked her alot.
Love this❤
I hate that Elvis died.... I hate that Lisa Marie died.... It was a tragedy for the 🌎 World. 😢😢

I do give her credit for all the dinners she put on to raise money for charityand honoring Elvis!
Such a nice lady. I can understand why Elvis wanted her as his nurse.
I noticed she was quick to say i was never an Elvis fan She sounds like just another one to capitalize on his giving heart and generosity
Why would that be? She did nothing but give to the Elvis World. From the day he died to the day she passed.
That Damm Dog has ruined this!!!!!
Its not that bad but i have 2 dogs

Hi! Are we waiting for the interview? (This is new to me.)
You don't do an interview with a barking dog around and why was there so much static?!
It was at her home and i cant tell her to shut her dog up. The static is just the way it came out.

Dr. Nick should have lost his license, he didn’t care about Elvis
I agree why have a dog around when you are doing an interview, the static is bad
It was at a old woman's house . No way she would have had her dog removed. It was not taped to be used professionally .
