Ridgway State Park

Ridgway State Park is located in Southwest Colorado and is a favorite among Colorado campers. This TH-cam video provides campers with a video tour of Ridgway so you can scout out target campsites. Elk Creek Campground is GORGEOUS with the lake on three sides and views of the San Juan Mountains. Deer walk right across the campground during breakfast, what could be cooler!!!! I have stayed in Loop E #183 for a week each time three different times SO MUCH TO DO AND SO RELAXING!!!!

Would you recommend visiting this place in December? Not sure how bad it snows there. Would be traveling in a minivan with a pop-up camper.

That area is about to get two snowstorms next week. Monday-Tuesday may get 2-6”. The storm on Thursday-Friday may yield 1-2 feet. I would check with OpenSnow.com which is probably our best snow forecaster here in Colorado. I assume you have a heat source and have no water lines that may freeze. Mueller does offer electric hookups. Steve

does Elk Ridge Loop D site 87 have water and electric hook up?

Only electric. It does have water right across from the site but you will need a water container or fill up before you get set up in the site.

F loop camping this year was not good. The grass and weeds have grown up 3 to 4 feet in height everywhere below the dam, serious fire danger, don't know why they can't mow this mess. we will never camp here again. The restrooms were clean.

Sorry to hear this. We camped in Dutch Carlie when I shot this video and it was in great shape.
