I don't honestly write tips, but because I know how crappy it is to have thinning hair (balding too), here is my routine to get past 2 days.
    1. I shower with Every Man Jack Shampoo as it gives your hair a lot of volume. I use cold water for my head as cold water widens your hair stands, making your hair appear thicker. Trust me on that.
    2. I towel dry my hair.
    3. I use a volumizing mousse. Make sure to get it to the roots as you don't want the hair strands to be thicker just on top or your hair will weigh down.
    4. I blow dry my hair with medium heat at full speed until my hair is almost dry, styling my hair along the way with the comb shown in this video. I then switch to cool temperature to "lock" my hairstyle. At this point, my hair is dry all the way.
    6. I use a clay product, not paste or pomade, to style my hair. Clay really makes your hair appear thicker. It also provides your hair with need nutrients. I just use a dime size amount and rub it between my hands before rubbing it on my hair. My hair from top reaches to the bridge of my nose. If your hair is shorter, use less of the clay. You don't want to use any extra or your hair will weigh down. I personally don't like to rub a lot on the roots because I don't want the neighboring hair strands to glue to each other.
    6. I blow dry my hair again with cold temperature to lock my hairstyle.
    7. I use hair spray that is strong hold. I spray at the roots to secure them in their place but I always lightly spray on the top because again, I don't want the top to be heavy and have my hair weigh down. The root needs to be stronger than the top.
    8. I try not to touch my hair all day long. Anyone that knows about hair spray know to not do that.
If any of you use hair fibers to cover the bald spots like me, I use Toppik after step 6.
I can easily go two days with my hair looking fuller and thicker. The hold remains great both days. I don't play with my hair because the oil in your hands can mess up your style and make your hair oily. I go to gym daily and even when I'm sweating, my hair is fine.
I took a shower this morning, Monday, and I'll be repeating the steps above on Wednesday morning.
Please like this comment so this can stay on top of the comments section. It may not help you much, but if anyone else that is devastated with their hair like me, this will help them out. Having a fuller looking hair gives you a lot of confidence so let's try and make sure other people can feel happy as well. Thank you.

Hey man thanks for the advice. I've been thinning on top and it's starting to get harder to cover up at the temples. I started finasteride 2 months ago though so I hope it helps in the long run. I have toppik as well and it helps but not quite enough to cover up the bald spots shooting up my temples well so I gotta rely on the hair I have on top to cover it nicely. Hopefully these products will help thicken along with the toppik until finasteride maybe grows some hair back

@@Deathkill06 how's the finestride? I don't use it because it's not good for testosterone and it may give you ED.
Also, finasteride isn't cheap like the hair fibers.
You should try Boldify fibers. I can compare it to Toppik, which is very expensive. Look it up on Amazon.

I have fine slightly thinning hair, the method I use is to apply volumising mousse before hair drying which helps thicken it a little then I use shockwaves clay which I like because it dries matte and then apply a small amount of hairspray if it’s windy out.. lol

  • @robertjbender

Solid video. Thanks for posting. One note is that our hair cycles and sheds a little every day so there will always be some hair on the brush. You're only "ripping it out" if it hurts, so be gentle, but don't be concerned about hair on the brush if it is painless.

Thanks for the video man, I'm 34 and my hair started thinning a few months ago. I never bothered with hair care in my life, so when this started happening I was just going to shave it all off. I like the results you seem to be getting from the products you recommend. I can give it a few more months and see if I can learn to hold a hairdryer and brush my hair at the same time, if it works it works it works, if not then there is always plan B(ald).

I have fine hair but a lot of it, and I've found original by Blumaan is the best prestyler for me for getting massive volume that doesn't fall over... mousse gave me volume but as soon as i used a post styler it would typically go flat unless i used a zero hold stuff that gave a shine which i didn't like.

Blumaan hair products all day everyday. Ive also found nioxin hair thickening gel works great before blow drying, but be careful fellas because alot of these videos fail to mention what using these hair thickening products do to your hair when trying to apply your actual hair styling product after blow drying or using powders. What will happen is your hair will feel like you can place it in almost any direction and do what you want with it buttt it will create an incredible amount of tug and pull when applying your final hair styling product and its a pain so be careful with how much you use and how long you blow dry for. Hybrid clay by blumaan is absolutely fantastic for thin and finer hair but its best used for non blow dry styles imo... now for blow dry styles i would suggest matte paste by blumaan its alittle more light weight and creamier then the clay which makes it easier to move around and apply to your hair especially after blow drying but still be prepared for a small amount of tug and pull regardless of any product you use. And most important of all stay away from water based products such as gel i wont get into specifics but watch a couple of vids and ull understand why for thiner hair. Hope this helped anyone who comes across this

I find I can't use any product with fat in it, like hair wax and hair wax-similarities like paste, putty, clay and what they call them all. I am more of a hair gel and hairpray type. With hair gel I find it very important to use a minimal amount, much less than you think you need. The size of a pea is a good starting point. It is just to be able to style the hair before the very strong hairspray fixes it. I use Proffs hairspray (the pink bottle) from H&M. That is the best and strongest I have tried (and probably the cheapest as well). I also find it important to throw your conditioner down the drain, and never use such things again (unless you have damaged hair from bleaching). Damaging your hair works really well for fine hair, just saying. Bleaching especially. But I got tired of it so I don't do it anymore. But I really miss the wonderful hair quality I had when it was damaged. So easy to style and no products would slide right out again, but stay in place all day. Bleaching is a quick fix for us who struggle with fine hair. My aunt takes perm, for the same reason. I think I will have a perm too, since I'm so tired of the bleached look that I don't want to do it. But I want my hair destroyed. I guess only people with fine hair understands that.

My stylist keeps recommending REF Pomade and/or REF Sculpting Gel. I think it's far too heavy for my very fine hair. Familiar with the product? If so, comments? Based on your recommendation and other TH-camrs, I'll try the DA'WAX despite its steep price. Again, I recommend retin-A and/or tretinoin and Finasteride.

    • @herculeholmes504
      @herculeholmes504 5 ปีที่แล้ว

I'm skeptical of Minoxidil (Regaine/Rogaine) and I'd be lairy of finasteride; IMO there is only poor for Minoxidil as a hair regrowth treatment; most men do not realize that their hair goes through shedding cycles about once every 6 weeks, and that hair loss is frequently caused by stress, bad diet, and vitamin/mineral deficiency. I suspect that a lot of positive reports for Minoxidil are coming from men who have just gone through a shedding cycle or have improved their diet and lifestyle at the same time as starting their use of Minoxidil.
Finasteride is an anti-androgen and it can have quite potent side effects; it does seem to work for some men, but the side effects are considerable.

I have very thick hair and it can be very very annoying to style them. I have to use pretty strong pomade for getting my hair in place. I have a side part. I wished my hair was a bit thinner than I could style it better. But otherwise I have to be lucky that I don't have such thin and fine hair as some other people.

Perhaps getting your barber to thin your hair might do the trick? I've got fine hair so I've never done this before but it's an idea!

Would this apply to longer hair as well? My hair is fine but I've been growing it out and have been having trouble styling it

The Fish product has been discontinued - which would you say is the best alternative putty for the same consistency, feel and hold? Thanks

Osis+ 4 mighty mate wax + hair spray for straight(currently trying Swartzchof invisible control)
I just found out about pre stylers, but want to try them because I fear of weakening my hair when blow drying
I wonder if I could loose the hair spray without worrying it my hair will get messy throughout the day?

Great video man, I will definitely be checking your content, and subscribing as well, I have a question, what do you think will do better? Old spice putty or pomade? I am trying to go for side part with volume on top, very similar to yours, what do you recommend? Thanks and keep up the good work!

+chilaFTW in most cases for that sort of hairstyle I recommend putty. Pomades look good on certain people but not on most. Putty allows you to maintain better volume normally, pomade can weigh your hair down and make it go flat. Hope that helps
