    I always tell my guys, concrete pumping is like body work/painting a car. You can’t hide whether you did the work or not. Either you did pull the ball back twice or you didn’t. If there is concrete in the deck pipe, you pulled it back once somewhere along the line. Point blank.
    Not greasing daily? Machines fucked instantly. It’ll show. Point blank. Thats one thing I love about concrete pumping - no such thing as shortcuts, only delayed disasters. Which is why ALOT of “men” aren’t cut out for it.

    Your hard ball is very sofy looking compared to the ones i use. They are HARD, but the ones I use are also blue...no jokes intended

    Scott what do you like to do on clean up with high MPA and accelerator loads?

    • @canadianconcretepumper1979
      @canadianconcretepumper1979  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mikeeemike988 So, it’s very situational, but typically I will pump my hopper down roughly 2-3 strokes from sucking air, splash some recover/delvo/sugar water across the back of the hopper, if there’s any buildup clinging to the hopper walls I’ll flip the grate up and knock it down with a shovel, I’ll then drop my lid down and proceed to pump out. After the 3-4th air pocket out the end of the hose, the retarder will have worked its way through the boom. I’ll then drop my boom down and pull the sponges, sometimes with an additional sprinkle of retarder introduced into the tip-elbow, prior to the first sponge,
      As I said, this is all subject to change based on the specifics of the situation.

    Non-chloride is all they use in my area. It’s all I’ve seen anyway. I’ll be at WOC if all goes as planned. I’m bringing the wife and son as well. I’ll see ya there.

    Hello Scott!
    I’m a young concrete pump operator from Hungary, my dream is to go to the world of concrete in 2025 or 2026, can a civil person go to the exhibition?
    Do I need to purchase a ticket, or what do I have to know about the show?
    I want to make it happen in the next two years at last.
    I you could tell me about it I would really appreciate it! 😁
    Best regards!

    If the the developer hadn't been cheap they could have paid to bury the overhead utilities would have made life way easier for everyone. Worked on a project where it might have been part of their building permit approval (IIRC) to bury the overheads in the back alley.

    • @canadianconcretepumper1979
      @canadianconcretepumper1979  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@banffdigger They fought hard to have lane closures, trolly bus supply wires, and some of the lower hanging hydro wires moved/relocated here. Unfortunately, the seemingly infinite layers of bureaucracy here in our province prevented any of it from happening. I don’t blame the developers or general contractors for these situations in our local here. I have seen a 45 story high rise delayed 6 months because the city couldn’t get their shit together to have the utilities lines relocated within the timeframe which had been originally promised.

    • @banffdigger
      @banffdigger หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@canadianconcretepumper1979 Brutal I guess the bureaucracy is so resistant to change that getting someone to pay for improvements is to much. I know hydro likes underground if they don't to pay to bury it, less maintenance costs or damage from weather.

    • @canadianconcretepumper1979
      @canadianconcretepumper1979  หลายเดือนก่อน

      @ within the city of Vancouver it’s very rare to see the utilities buried. The further outside of the city you get, the more common it is to see cable/telephone/electrical run underground.

      @@williamhunter-d1i They’re all very similar in terms of cost, regardless of boom size and/or number of sections. This one is slick for little 24Z as it has the secondary handheld remote for when pumping directly off the back end (which is a fairly common occurrence with this unit).
