Best purchase was a guitar purchased at age 60 during lockdown - and challenging my self to learn 100 songs - today age almost 63 I am up to 231 songs learned and I own 4 guitars - it has been great for my mental health and relaxation - this has helped my coaching career and gives me clarity - I agree financial goals are important but so are artistic ones - it speaks to life experiences and joy

I always wanted a wardrobe full of beautiful dresses. Now I have that, as I allowed myself to buy a heap of them last year, and I'm so grateful. They make me feel so feminine and beautiful and my confidence in myself has shot through the roof.

      @drickzee ปีที่แล้ว +8

@@EluQmiNeX ha. I have no issue with ads even if her videos were longer. The difference is the value she has in such short videos. I've seen other folks post 15+ minutes and at the end of it you ask yourself whether you learned something from that lengthy video. Some will make it long with no valid points or takeaways just for the ads. Nischa’s is short and valuable even if it has ads. 😊

I was a musician who ran a tiny record company (yes, that dates me), and when it failed fell into a grim stretch of salaried work, mostly finance. Fascinating travel and excitement, moved cities every 3-4 years around the US and Asia, then just about died in hospital 4 years ago. Strangely, it more confirmed my preferences than upended them. The one thing that has always been with me? A vintage guitar. It is expression, creation, motivation, solace, a social tool, and a thing of beauty. That, and a small zen library, and I'm set.

The biggest purchase wasn't actualy the biggest, but it definitely was the most valueble. 2 years ago i started therapy and that helped me explain some things that were coming from my past or better said from my family and extended family past. All in all i become more efficient, i reduced stress and i'm more relaxed when it comes to be a parent or a better parent, i don't put so much presure on me. I changed my work aproach and i try to invest in me as much as i can( food, healthy lifestyle, sport, meditation, books, and last but not the least quality videos, podcasts, documentaries). Thank you for inspiring me 🤗🙏✨

Wow, the part in education where we spend more time trying to get good grades rather than actually understanding what we are being taught, is so true. I can relate.

Up top on the "education" chapter. I'm an alumn of KCL for Msc Management (2yrs back or more now) but I've started to truly LEARN once my school days were over. The pressure that school puts on you is insane and in that moment when you're trying to juggle many other things all you care about is good grades which as you said impact your actual true learning mindset.

I bought a really expensive but high quality Microsoft laptop in high school and it has proved to be a great investment! I'm almost finishing university and I've had 0 computer issues along the way. It's going 7 years strong! The screen is touchscreen and detachable which I love for doing my readings and it's just a really powerful device. It was $2,500 but I can't imagine life without it

Skateboard wasn't my biggest purchase but it was by far my best. You learn a lot about yourself and how everything takes work and repetitive training to learn, you can't bs in skateboarding. Others know if you can skate in a few seconds of seeing you on the board, you have to have integrity and everyone is welcome to skateboarding no matter your colour, sex, upbringing, amount of money you have. It's everything to me.

You have to curate your life in a way that is the most efficient for you, little changes here and there, set your life up like it is a computer game and make it as seamless as possible, knowing what you're doing tomorrow and having it planned out is crucial, and then have the discipline to follow through, hard tasks in the morning so you can relax as the day goes on, attack, attack, attack, then chill :)

I found your videos recently in a time where I've gone through a massive change in my life and I am on the same journey as you and I'm following your channel on my way to being financially free as soon as possible. Bless you! You are such a breeze! I love how you stressed, in an earlier video, the importance of getting a formal education for a stable job, to start with. Not all finance people promote this notion. And, yes, continuous learning is a huge investment for my wellbeing now being in my 50s with a very good stable job. Also, as a minimalist, I very much appreciate spending money on experiences rather than objects (stuff). Much love and respect from Canada

The best thing I bought is Yuval Noah Harari's books. I read Homo Sapien, Homo Deus and 21 Lessons for the 21st Century during my time serving in military. At first when I purchased those books, I just want to know about humanity history, about our society where it's heading to. But surprisingly, beside those knowledges, somehow I changed my point of view on many aspect of life. I no longer worry about what others think of me because not anyone can make important impact to my life. I understand failure isn't scary at all because we are not perfect and we're bound to make mistakes one way or another.

I would say 2 best purchases come to mind.
The first best purchase was my camera gear. My professional photography business is now my highest income stream and allows for flexibility and increased time to study; whilst I'm studying for my second degree. The 1st degree was in Business Management, the current being in Chemical Engineering. The business has introduced me to extremely successful entrepreneurs (I mostly shoot commercially for businesses), and working hand-in-hand with them has been invaluable to my entrepreneurial journey.
The second best purchase would be my PS4 Pro/4K TV combo. Over the years it has allowed me to unwind, perfect for gaming, movies, and even studying/learning (connected to my computer).

The greatest impact of my life is not a purchase, but a question to meditate on: When I reach the end of my life, will I be satisfied with what and who I have lived for? Will I fear death, or embrace it ? I almost died at twenty in an accident, and let me tell you, you will want the comfort of knowing God far more than anything else! Jesus came to me in my hospital room and revealed himself to me! It changed everything about how I live now. Don’t just invest in this life, but in the eternal one!

I worked so long on 102 keyboards that I'm using paper notes only for free hand scetching for pre-note-taking when no computer is switched on but normally type it later (I write with 10 finger on keyboards) in a better usable or shareable digital form.

The best item I purchased was a mini piano, which was the start of transforming my hobby into a career and what led to me being able to watch YT videos about life coaching all day 🤪

Thank you so much Nischa. I am 52 years old woman who grown in USSR. I did not have much knowledge about investments and pension in UK. You inspired me and I learned from you a lot. Now I have opened personal pension and started to contribute. I also start my investment journey. Better late than never :) Could you please do more videos about investment. What is important to know. Kind of a few steps guide. Maybe a few videos. Thank you very much in advance. My best purchase was my second education in London. xxx

I loved this video and have just reserved the midnight library at my local library (no pun intended) and can’t wait to read it! Like yourself, I also use a white board and journal, both of which add huge value and impact on my life.

Hi Nischa, I just stumbled across your channel a couple of days ago, and I really enjoy your videos. You have so much educated good sense!
The best purchase I ever made was a really good quality laptop. It has lasted me for 13 years, and the sheer joy of handling it enabled me to work very happily, effectively and creatively as Chair of a local charity.
I have a couple of questions for you, about journalling: Ive been writing in a journal since I was a child of 10 (I’m now 60). In my 20s I destroyed all my child and teen writings, and started again. I’ve still got everything from that time - but I don’t know what to do with it. I’m torn between regretting destroying my early journals, and seriously considering doing the same thing again!! So, what do you do with your old journals, and why? The second question is, with so many electronic journaling apps and possibilities out there, what’s your reason for choosing a physical journal?
Thanks again for the great videos. 😊

Ah keep the old journals you won't regret it! I'm quite traditional/old school so I love writing things down physically (not to forget all the evidence to back why it's important!)

Incredible tips. A whiteboard I do need to invest. My sister has it in her room, and I was like that's a great shout. Two incredible books I've read, especially the midnight library. Ironically I was geeking out and recommending too. Keep being amazing and sharing knowledge. #Thingsofthatnature 🙏🏾

The content was great but I was referring to to the presentation and the removal of the music. I am able to focus more on all the interesting information you are sharing. I am a big fan of Robert kiyosaki too😊

What I miss often miss is saving up for ‘vacation’. Discussion tend to lean to 3 items. Save Money, Spend less or how to enrich yourself. The word ‘saving’ for many might be confussing as in savings for far later (pension), saving up for your next holiday, or have save money as in paying off debt. In our household our year goal is 2 two weeks holidays yearly, in or outside Europe and a handful of weekends away, citytrips or Disney. So almost 15% of both salary we save up for that but also save up for later and unexpected occurances. Vacation for the onces who can effort or want to prioritze this is an enrichment. I do feel many financial advisors have a hard time spending lots on the happy moments such as holiday and travelling all out, as travelling is expensive. Me coming from the vacation branch always find the controllers sitting on a campsite, partially sitting on their money, having a good time though BUT and from administration departments travel properly, to California, Aruba, enjoying Spain, Italy. Going all out. Perhaps a tad too much but an extra zero on your bankaccount gives you less joy compared to a nice vacation trip. Just watch your photos / photobooks. No bankstatements. But holiday destinations…

I would have said whiteboard if you asked me best purchase. I have a big one on an easel in my room and two smaller ones one of which I do homework on with my son. Then I have a dry erase calendar on the way into my bedroom.

I seem to remember you mentioning ***a book 'Almanac...', *** but I can't find it in your videos, and there are too many with this title, so if you know what I'm talking about, please list it. Thank you! Loving your recommendations. Black top aside, as I love color. :) Keep on going strong. Loving your channel and recommending it to everyone that wants to hear about it.
