    Good tut. The one thing I found missing was an inking brush setting where it trails off, like in calligraphy.

      Try setting the size jitter control to “fade” this is under “shape dynamics” set the number low for a short fade out or higher for a longer fade out. Then set the minimum diameter to between 5 and 20 percent or whatever you need. This will get you closer to a custom calligraphy brush. I hope this helps.

    This is the best explanation ever regarding photoshop brush settings!!! thank you very much for this. I'd love to learn how apply the correct approach to create a custom brush if I need to achieve a certain kind of texture, for example if I want to render a realistic snake skin, I could create a texture, and tweak all the settings to get closer to the aspect I want to achieve but what if I want the final brush texture follows the pen stroke, is it possible? or may be I am having a wrong approach to get the job done? thank you again Mercedes.

      Start experimenting with dual brushes, and texture settings. The dual brush will put a pattern inside of a more basic brush. This will help for controlling the snake texture, and texture obviously will help you get the actual snake texture into your brush

    Your tutorials are detailed and it seems you are a patient person. Thanks for all you do. Did you ever consider doing in-depth water color painting tutorial, paid or free?

      Thank you for the compliment! I will be doing more watercolor tutorials soon. Eventually, I will do an in depth course as well but not anytime soon.

    Could you please teach me how to make the brush tip pointed from end to end? I want a pointed brush tip but mine is round.

    Hello! Thank you for this tutorial. I'm wondering if there is a way to set your brush so it, depending on pressure, goes from one colour to another?

    • @PrettyWebzMedia
      @PrettyWebzMedia  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can tweak brush color in the “color dynamics” option

    When I enable the brush settings under the window tab, the settings pop up, but all the options are greyed out and unclickable. Do you know how to remedy this?

    • @PrettyWebzMedia
      @PrettyWebzMedia  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Make sure you have a brush selected before you go to brush settings.

    explain brush build up please thanks

    • @PrettyWebzMedia
      @PrettyWebzMedia  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Brush build up controls the airbrush option. If brush build up is selected, you will have the option available to you on the tool settings at the top of the canvas. There is a build up in opacity as you paint but you will need a tablet for this to work properly.

    But what does the build-up setting actually do? You just mentioned it turns the option on but that's about it

      @@PrettyWebzMedia Thanks for the reply. What I meant, is that there was no clear explanation in the video as to what does the option actually do in the program, compared to the other options you described very well. I hate to admit how long it took me to realize, that the option actually builds up the paint continuously as you press the pen on the tablet. I spent literall hours trying to figure it out and now I feel super fucking dumb, anyways thanks for the video it was very helpful nonetheless

    How do you prevent brushes overlap?

    • @PrettyWebzMedia
      @PrettyWebzMedia  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I’m not sure I understand but you can adjust the brush tip spacing in brush settings>>>brush tip shape section. This will space out the brush.

    • @PrettyWebzMedia
      @PrettyWebzMedia  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Brush pose is just a way to override your tablet, if you’re using one. I’ve never found it useful but if you need your brush to ignore pressure sensitivity, tilt motions, etc. this will help.

    At least you should use a Wacom board to explain the brush~😂
