Speckled trout fishing in North Carolina. Targeting speckled trout with mirrolure 27mr hard baits. Fishing shallow inshore brackish water in search of big speckled trout and maybe a redfish or two. Sizes ranged from 17 inch speckled trout to 23 inch gator speckled trout. My trip ended in a very surprising and possibly even dangerous way when some kayakers got stuck fighting a very strong wind and a rising tide. Get a net good man, lol. Great video and nice fish though
I have several I just forget them a lot. 😄
Great video. First time I have watch. I just subscribed. You should trip over and fish with our kayak group here in New Bern. I will be checking your videos to see if you show any on fishing for sheepshead and black drum which I have yet to do. Thanks again. Jim
I think I've already been out with the ones you're talking about. Casting coastal guys. Did Lee Landing once and there were 4 of us there. WAY better fishing than we have in New River.
Good job Brother! Semper Fi!!
Thanks buddy. Fished that creek the other day and it's nearly wiped out this year. Saw less than 20 good fish in the whole creek.
I've heard the same about a few other creeks in the area as well. I'm gonna hit SW creek here in a few weeks and see if the big girls are still in there where there is a few really deep holes. Appreciate what ya do Brother!@@FishingwithBrewski
I caught a couple to save the day a few days ago. Don't waste your time with New River. Neuse and Pamlico are insane. I catch 10 to 1 better up there than New River
Always enjoy the vids brotha. Never trolled mr's. Like you said. Whatever works. Figured the fish moving out the creeks but I guess not.
Highly mobile right now. My last trip to the same area was a couple days ago and I only caught reds.
Good stuff man! That was a stud first trout! Good job helping out those girls too brotha
Did you watch until the end? Next video has two trout over 26''. Been wild the past couple weeks.
Glad to see you back at it, brother. You've been tearing up that creek since the fall, hopefully I bump into you again one of these days. -Cory
Kinda hate how easy it is to recognize but it is what it is. Much better places to fish.
@@FishingwithBrewski Only easy to recognize when we fish the same stretches man. I'm just glad one of us gets trout there, I seem to just get low-slot reds there
@@SaltHoundHC they're not right there often. I've made a trip since this and struck out with same stretch and methods. Had to go elsewhere to find em.
Missed ur videos man glad to see u back. Nice of you to help out but thats what we all have to do sometimes. Had to tow someone 4 miles by boat last year that messed up a hot bite but it is what it is.
Got busy with other things and before I knew it 3 months had slipped by! Man it was so much harder because that was 3rd trip after starting back and the first trip worth recording. Luckily the trout gave me enough action to keep ya'll entertained beforehand though.
Dude, you are a good man. You did the right thing, but it stinks to give up a fishing day when people make bad decisions and need help. Good on you and it’s great to have you back. Missed your vids, keep ‘em coming.
Haha. Yea my initial reaction was "no way am I stopping fishing". I'm back at it now so there will be more to come for sure.
Great video as usual man! Got to link up sometime soon
The sheeps will be here within the next two weeks I'm sure. Tried for trout today. That post frontal thing is really rough.
great video good job on helping them out god will reward you with many more epic fish action
Man if you and I fished together we'd have twelve rods out🤣. It either works out great or turns into a hot mess. Way to be the rescuer, Id hope my daughters wouldn't get in a situation like that but if they did, it's good to know there's still good people in the world 👊
I've definitely got myself wrapped up bad enough doing that mess at night that I wound up just cutting lines and going home.
You get a stack of ataboy's for helping the weary out.
Looking good out there brotha 👊🏻
I was told only boy Trout's make noise
Yea thats what they say.
Speckled trout are actually Drum....You are correct, only the males drum.
Is this in Slocum creek
This creek is New River. This last fall and so far this spring it's totally dead so you're better off anywhere on the Neuse or Pamlico. Neuse is especially good.
Where are you?
I live in Beulaville
Good vid. what creek ?
It's a New River creek. There are far far better places to trout fish though . You'll see in the next video if I ever manage to finish it.
