- Jigging Bluefin tunas... Really good day of fishing. Lots of firsts on this trip. These were my first Bluefins, first jigged tunas, first tunas on spin gear... the way I always wanted to do it. Capt Blowhard, and Capt Andy on the Maridee get the credit on this one. Im just happy I was along for the ride. If this video gets copyrighted for our music we were listening to then it will be deleted, but so far so good...
Used a Jiggingworld Nexus 2-6oz on this trip, with a Saragosa 8k, 30lb braid.. We had all kinds of rods/reels on this trip. I stuck with the Jiggingworld Metal Jig while the blowhards outfished me with plastics.

I was out here this day... was pretty epic day... as a person watching this video and hearing my voice on the radio... I get not wanting to tell people where you are... and all that... but it was my 1st time out there, and I was looking for help... we did get into a mess of whales porpoise and tunas... and sharks... but always looking to help others with tips when I can. I'm running the Osprey "FAR From Stress" out there... maybe we will see each other this year!... happy hunting dudes!

Interesting note: lucas mentions in the video that the ron-z jig which is lead sinks faster and that the aluminum is slow, and calls the aluminum (which is basically a slow pitch jig sea money is using) bullshit. Another interesting thing is that big tuna at the end indeed came on the ron z (lead) on an ugly stick which is a rental rod. In conclusion the 2 guys Sea money was fishing with said in.so many words that slow pitch jigging is bullshit. Idk if they are right but if you want to be results oriented this video proves they are.
side note: the 2 guys sea money was fishing with also proved that even with a lesser shitty rod, if you have the right jig and bait and presentation you can outfish someone with more expensive gear. And all that slow pitch rod stuff is in essence bullshit, like that you need some specially made rod to flick the jig and be sensitive at the tip etc etc
