Just to be sure I understand this right if the main effect is negligible, it can be "discarded". Also, any interaction that includes said main effect can also be discarded?

Yes. We only focus on those significant factors either as main effects or interactions.

@@TheOpenEducator So if I had two factors, A and B, A having an effect of 0, B=10, and the effect of AB was 10, would I discard terms: A and AB (because A was insignificant)?
