First Officer Paul Gerald: [urgently] "Sir?!"
Captain Jason Sansky: [shouts] "SHIELDS UP!!!"
This was a fun movie, while not great, I still enjoyed it
Matthew Lillard was a hell of a maniac dude.
He has the same energy as Thomas F wilson
I like how the planes were basically A10 warthogs.
More entertaining than phantom menace same year release.
That’s funny because I remember going to see this with my friends because we heard the Phantom Menace trailer was going to be on before it.
@@angelofverdun456a number of people went to see the movie for that reason…some walked out post-trailer.
Better than Disney Star Wars too.
I remember Wing Commander, even before they decided to use Mark Hamill in it LOL
I completely forgot this was a thing.
Para ser 1999 esta buena con cgi decente
1999 Outstanding special effects. this movie looks in so many scence so good. but... he is a litle bit shitty.... please relaunch this movie!
Full salvo 05:08
0:08 Would anyone happen to know what his job is on the ship? I know it's not communications or helm.
XO
Executive Officer.
Ejection into the outer space??!))
Where ELSE?
Books were great, didn't play game . Was this a movie by chance
LOL!
I never knew there were novels based on this. I want check that out!
@@blockmasterscott There numerous WC novels over the years, set in different eras & regions.
Better than ANY "STAR WARS" by Disney ("Rogue One' is exception).
5:18 why would you have ships in formation like that...if one ship explodes they all explode
Space battle formation. Besides-in a battle in space there is no submarine.
They didn’t consider one ship a threat.
Using smaller ships to screen the big one. Also for cinematic effects.
Is it was made in 99s? Looks like in 80's
Lol not even close
90s early 2000s CGI and miniatures has a very clear a distinct looks compared to just raw 80s blue screen. This is post Industrial Light and Magic and during the start of the SW Prequals. The CGI back then wasn't that great but was game quality level but the miniature detail was amazing and probably the best it had ever been.
i liked the movie by just ignoring the cringe. But cringe was a thing back in the day. Even SW had a lot of it.
The Games, the Books, and the Cartoon were all great...the movie...was awful (Except for the Space Battles, the only time the movie felt like the games) also replacing Mark Hamil with Freddie Prinz Jr.? I get it this is Blair at the start of his career and he has yet to earn his Heart of the Tiger nickname, but you couldn't find someone who at least looked like Mark Hamil
I played the video game Wing Commander many years ago, long before it was made into a film. It was a good space combat game, but the dialogue was quite puerile with awful American style nick names for the pilots - maniac being one of them.
Lillard was soooo sooo bad. Cheesy dialogue. Them talking with masks on and then taking them off to continue talking seems pointless but I guess dumbing visuals down for the audience some how makes it seem more intense. So bad.
Looks cheap, like cutscenes from Windows 95 era games rather than a movie.
THis movie was so so bad.
