H/H match update: ... Our new champion calls on Richard, Brett, and Betty for her audience match suggestions, and she chooses Richard's answer. (I would've taken Betty's this time.) Slide it, Earl! Our contestant wins $100. Brett had the $250 answer, and Betty gave the $500 answer even though she was chosen third! And... quelle surprise... she picks Richard for the H/H match. He's only matched 2 of his last 6 attempts, so he's probably due for a win today, but again, I would've selected Betty... Today's question: "Tennis ________ " Easy money, I think. Tennis racquet. After all, Richard did wear his dark blue tennis racquet sweater twice this week already. Richard thought for a moment. The contestant looked undecided. Gene asks for her response, and she says racquet, but without a lot of confidence. The audience gave her a solid round of applause. ... and Richard scores his 137th H/H match. Hahaha.
That contestant named Dorothy looked like such a beautiful woman.
Gene Rayburn's real talent may be, his ability to keep the game moving over all of the talking.

I was way off the Richard marrying question. My answer was the bad news was he was marrying her husband Allen Ludden lol
So Charles was ready with the "Blush!" card? Dang, he's good!
Have you noticed that after every question Gene asks that Brett always starts talking?
