Congratulations Adam. Mike Morgan did a video a few years back where he introduced you and you were laying claim that your life style was his doing because you watched his video. I’ve been watching you since and have enjoyed the growth in the video content you’re projects. You have introduced us to your great neighbor Doug and have increased the size of your family. I always look forward to your videos. I wish you nothing more than great success with your future and blessings on you and your family. Thanks for sharing. And as always stay safe

B Newton - I couldn’t have said it better… I too was going to comment on Mike Morgan making a huge impact on Adam’s TH-cam channel. Awesome man, congrats! Not only can you fall back on your CPA, but running your TH-cam channel and firewood is a business, and a very difficult business to manage. That experience will always be an impressive resume builder. You're charismatic, good at talking to people, working with customers, numbers, math, etc. You're going to be just fine even if TH-cam does go away lol (which won't happen)

Adam, I retired 2 years ago after 30+ years in education and your channel was one of the first I stumbled on (I wasn't a youtube watcher prior to that). I am still watching today. I enjoy the variety your channel offers but I also really like the relationship you have with "Neighbor Doug". It has been fun watching how you have encouraged him and others like me to find value in whatever your strengths are. I now have a side hustle selling firewood bundles and homemade fire starters from a stand in my driveway. Congrats on your decision and I am very happy for you and your family! #begoodtoeachother

Congrats and super jello Adam! Megan, my wife and business partner, and I have been working toward this same dream for about 9 years now, and trouble we're having is when growth stagnates (for no apparent reason), and we're stuck wondering what exactly happened. TH-cam can be so finicky, and people's taste do change, so trying to keep up with all the different ways to earn some here and there really drains us. We've been targeting ending my day job for 2-3 years for about 2-3 years now...and we DO have good income from our channel, outpacing my 18 years career THIS year (finally), but now exactly when do we take the leap of faith if the channel's growth could slow to next to nothing? This is a REAL difficult challenge, and way scarier than anyone that hasn't done it would understand. Add 4 kids and 23 acre property to pay for...and here we are, still running a 55-65 hours day job, and 30-60 hours a week on the TH-cam channel.
You had shared your add revenue being a large percentage of your income, but in our case, we're getting roughly 1/4 from Ad Revenue, and the other 2/3 comes from affiliate sales, with the remainder from random supporters....so we're just going to keep pumping out the content, and seeing if the growth starts to pick back up.
Nobody really GETS it unless they've done it. TH-cam is so much harder than the average joe realizes. Keep up the good work! Keep plugging away, and your content will catch a lot of viewers "just like me". Your pond project got our attention, and has kept it, fyi. We're about to dig our own, but our channel will not be competitive for your audience, since we cover RC products ;)

Congrats on this awesome journey for you and your family. I may not be your typical subscriber but with my challenges of mental health issues and anxiety disorders your content was and is a harbor in the tempest for me. I’ve been in corporate America for almost 30 years. I know the life. I’m starting my own side hustle for something I’ve always wanted to do and it’s the same “zen” you’ve described. Turn on the music and do what you love. One of my favorite movie lines was from “The hunt for red October”. Sean Connery looked at his crew of officers and said “When Cortez sailed to the new world; upon their arrival he had his men burn their ships. That way they will well motivated.” My subscription goes back to about 1.1k viewers. Been along ever since. Wishing you the best for you and your family. Keep up being the best Adam; Dad, and husband. Everything else falls into place.

Adam, you're a young family man chasing your dreams. As a 65 yr old man, I now can sit back retired and look back at my younger years. I have no regrets on decisions made. I feel when you reach that point in your life, you will definitely look back in a similar fashion. Your content is organized, detailed and analytical. I love the way you put your videos together. I especially enjoy how you include your parents. Those are precious moments that I would dearly wish I could have today. Then there's Doug. What a friendship that you two have developed. You are genuine and real. That is so refreshing and appreciated given the turbulant society we live in today. Congratulations on your decision and count me in for a lifetime viewer!

Hello. I've just come to your channel in the last month or so. We do logging and firewood for folks here in Montreal, up north that is. And I know how time consuming that work is, so I appreciate watching that "Major Work" that you have there on your property. And you have just thrown miracle grow on the wood working !! I am glad to hear that you are not killing yourself with a day job any more, on top of the trees, log splitting and fire wood business. This is a good "resume filler" as someone mentioned below. I think it is healthy to leave the rat race for a while, and do something wholesome and serene for a while. Getting out into the forest up here is rejuvenating. And you sure have a lot of space to rejuvenate in. And you are not at a loss for firewood are you ?? A choice well made. Well done.

My opinion why your channel is a success, is it’s you, being you. Either people will like it, or they won’t. For those that do, they’ll keep coming back. Don’t change the format too much, and keep on keeping on.

Excellent! Looking forward to your next chapter of videos.
You have an inspiring story, and i applaud you for committing full time to youtube which allows you to be part time in firewood.
I quit my day job to start a firewood business 9 years ago and found out quickly that i needed to supplement firewood sales and currently do all the things you mentioned, in order to pursue my dream of full time in forest products.
But getting paid to make videos of firewood production is how you can thrive in this business! Similarly, we do land clearing and cut yard trees so we get our timber for free, but if you ventured that direction, while filming it all, you could tripple dip, so to speak! (Paid for cutting, paid for firewood, paid for filming!)
Im happy for you, been following along a while now, and to see your speedy growth both on TH-cam and in the firewood game is really impressive, thank you Adam.

This is Awesome news. I have worked for corporate America all my life with very little return - one company from 1988 to 2006 (Some years part time) and another from 1996 to present. I can tell you - it was the worst decision I have ever made (in some areas). I say now - I wish I had in my 30's went into business for myself. Watching you and your channel has been just absolutely inspiring. I guess they say you are never too old. I am trying to work and do my own thing. Another thing - you are right - spend time with your children - that time can never be replaced. It is the best place to spend your time - with your family - you can never get it back .Hats off - Nothing but Respect - God Bless you and your family and your Dreams!

Congratulations Adam 👍 Like others have mentioned, Mike Morgan visited you and shared that video on his channel and I’ve been a subscriber ever since. You’ve done a great job with varying the content and introduced us to Neighbor Doug (what a blessing to have him as your neighbor). Thank you for encouraging Doug to start his own channel, to which I’ve been a subscriber since his first video!! I’m very happy for you and your family. 🇺🇸

Been a watcher and commenter from the beginning as we were both at the "learning" level of owning an acreage. Ive came along right with you. Your honesty and transparency goes miles man, keep it up!
Sidenote: im working on an outdoor invention (beginning stages) with a company and should get it completed this year and would love to send you a few freebies to test when the time comes. It will probably be 6-9 months so ill try hitting you up for it then.

Any thoughts on building a "fort/clubhouse" for your children?
A smaller one next to the house, and then a more elaborate one in the woods when your son is able to help.

I knew it had to be about that time in your youtube growth. I like watching the growth of content providers to see how they expand the business and find additional income revenues from it. The growth is that instead of thinking of a 9 to 5 to a mindset of how can I expand my own business, branch into other revenue streams or expand my audience, or buy additional machinery or property to film for content. Congratulations... it will be fun watching over the next several years to see where this path takes you. (actually, where your path takes US). 👍

Congratulations, Adam, and to your family. If you start traveling for YT at the request of a sponsor, request they cover having your family travel with you. "Travel requirements" are something most companies are used to, and having the family along makes things so much easier. Most of the time😉.

I think a deciding factor on your part is that huge pile of logs you have from logging deal. At one point you said you had two years worth of logs to process and I thought then you were close to going full time firewood production . Your videos are really interesting. I just love how perfect everything has to be..like when you built the firewood stand...
