Same issue I have but in NY ...near salt water
Mine had a pin hole at the bottom bend. I actually lost all of my coolant. Fortunately, was able to get it home without having to tow it. I'm in Michigan.
HEADS UP: LATER MODEL YEARS!!
Two differences I found on my 2009 T&C than what was shown in this video.
1) The replacement part is different. Mine has an inlet for the oil cooler, so the part number given in this video and in the link won't work for that. I needed Dorman part# 626-305.
2) At 3:06, he mentions that the inner shield "pops out", but on my 2009, it is held in place by two hex bolts and a plastic push pin.
I don't know the model year that these changes were made.
This is a fairly simple repair. I'm really glad I found this video, cuz I probably would have spent a good hour trying to access the leaking part without removing the wheel. With the wheel out of the way, access is much, MUCH better.
Also, this might be a really good time to replace the radiator hoses. Mine are somewhat soft, so I'm not going to take any chances. The coolant's already drained for this repair, and radiator hoses aren't that expensive.
Finally, are there any good youtube mechanics in the rust belt? Lol. I laugh when I see the undercarriage of vehicles on youtube videos. Everything comes apart with relative ease, lol. The hex bolt that fastens the tube to the inlet was rusted pretty good on mine. The leak on mine wasn't the rubber gasket but, rather, the rust on the bend of the tube.

But now, there's still a leak at the same place and I thougth it was the water pump but the garage told me that it is the pipe, maybe the gasket but they don't have only the gasket... He charges $340. for the job... Questions: can I reuse the coolant? Is the gasket available without buying the pipe? Thanks a lot. God bless you.

The cooling system needs to be purged of air by running engine with radiator cap removed until thermostat opens(upper hose is HOT) and cooling fans have cycled.

Something must have changed. The link you have for this inlet tube doesn't go to the part you installed. It only goes to the water pump inlet pipe.
I cant seem to get the pipe with the o ring back onto the water pump. What is the secret? I tried silicone grease and it didnt help?

Wondering why you recommend replacing the entire metal pipe and not just the seal/O-Ring unless it is rusted upon inspection. Also, it's best to use something like Sil Glyde on the rubber seal. Oil cause the rubber to rot.

The part that you called the water intake housing is it separate from the timing cover if so do you know where I can get one I got a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan sport and mine is leaking
I just replace my waterpump and i am leaking coolent under my car all the hoses and belt are dry i start the car and all my antifreeze comes out would this be the problem and no cracks in block its 98 buick lesabre custom 3800 series 2 motor

would this be the cause if you have coolant dripping from the passenger side to about middle ways under the van?

My 2002 stratus rt is leaking under the intake?
Would this hose leak when the car is NOT running? I have a leak from what looks like just in (toward driver) from the pump. It leaks running or not. Thanks.
Yes, it definitely will leak when vehicle is not running. It just may leak faster if the water pump is engaged.
I replaced mine but still leaking. Maybe it didn't seat right, can i retry to seat it correctly or will it damage the o-ring

why cant i find a video on why coolant is leaking onto the DRIVERS SIDE control arm? Its saturated on the bottom side when the vehicle is driving. If the vehicle is stopped and you filled the system with fluid, it does not leak, even at idle. Can someone help me out? What is it that is leaking only while in use and on this control arm, before I take to a shop, which no doubt I can do it myself?
Possible leak in upper radiator hose or even a crack in the top of the radiator and it sprays on the control arm area. These areas won't leak until the system is up to temp. and the thermostat is open.
Could be from overfilling the overflow reservoir. When the van moves it leaks out.

Yeah, that means you need to get the tube that has the oil cooler outlet on it.
I need help...
A Chrysler that my friend owns has a really weard leak, we filed the car with water to see where the leak was but nothing then we ran it for a fuew minutes to see if enithing happened nothing, so we went for a ride it went great until he trys to put it in to 3 gear and the engine shuts off it wasn't over heated or enithing so he starts it again and when he trys 3 gear again same thing, so we go back and only at the last 5 meters of driving it starts leaking really badly so we shut it down and fill it up again. No leakage!!!!! He starts the car moves it around again No leaking

Yes if not drained. It will empty almost all the coolant from the system as fast as it can get out.

How can you tell if you have an oil cooler or not? The tube is a completely different part number if you have an oil cooler on your Caravan

Anyone know the torque specs for the bolts?
If you can't figure it out by doing it with feel you shouldn't be doing it at all. It's not engine work this is common sense.
