- NOTE: If you've been waiting for a video where I just prattle on for almost an hour, this on'es for you, too. :)
I've had several people ask me to do a video on working toward goals. We'll discuss that, as well as several of the common excuses we all use when thinking about the things we want to achieve.
As a 21 year old, your videos mean the world to me. Never change. Keep posting. We love you.
Eww who said you're too old to make ASMR videos? It baffles me that young people have such limited views of the world and life. PLEASE keep at it, Mary!
Yes, that really makes absolutely no sense. Why on earth should ASMR only be for younger people? People of all ages can benefit from and have ASMR and so people of all ages should make these videos. I listen to ASMR videos made by people of all ages and they are all great.

What beautiful advice! I wish you were my neighbor! You are a wonderful woman and very wise. I'm a retired nurse and mother of 6 children. I'm 64...and believe me..it seems like yesterday that I was 44....
Usually your videos are just fun or relaxing for me, and that is why I'm watching them, but from time to time you're coming up with something like today's and I'm speechless... Your words are very powerful and very eyes opening, you touch some topics in the way, that I and other people need to hear them. Thank you so much for this.

Great advice Mary! I think so many people would benefit from these types of videos from you! I live by a strict budget and have for such a long time! I paid for my own education and vehicle! I’m proud of myself and I’m proud of my children for starting to do the same! I’m proud of you Mary! Please do a video or many on budgeting and working on being debt free! 👍

Please do a budget video. I am definitely struggling with my budget atm my income literally got cut in half. Currently looking for a second job but I could use help with budgeting now on a loooowww income.lol
Also I went to college as an adult I worked two jobs. It was hard but I did it. Sadly I'm not working in the field I went to school for.

This is an excellent video. Very straightforward, tried and true advice that is easy to understand. This is a video that has a lot in it and should be saved and played from time to time by everyone. Its on my playlist for my drive to work. Thanks for sharing.

I have to comment again! Lol I love you Mary! You are so smart and so kind hearted. I’m glad you pulled away from “friends” who didn’t support your decision for college. You’re going to meet an awesome man one of these days because you are so kick ass. You have the coolest style with a positive mindset. It’s so true that life is short and you just have to go for it! It’s kind of scary but it’s always very exhilarating at the same time because of the nerves you have when you take risks to reach goals. Life is beautiful!
I’m almost the same age as you and I really appreciate these videos. I appreciate learning from other people’s lives when they’re genuinely trying to help improve mine. Please keep them coming.
I had a nasty divorce in my 20s went back to grad school and got my masters degree so I would be independent. Bought a house. Got a federal job. Met my current husband and wanted to start a family. Bam...started having horrible pain and exhaustion. Worked 3 more years in that condition without a diagnosis. Had to quit working and now in 2015 had to have hysterectomy for severe endometriosis. Then diagnosed with sjogrens syndrome and lupus. My marriage is struggling and I am financially dependent again. I'm a patient at john Hopkins. I never had children and now with my health and age adopting is out. I still get up every day try to accomplish even one thing. I have been stretching as much as I can and walking half a mile every day I can. If I walk 5 days this month I might be able to walk 6 days next month. I try to remember there are people who can't walk at all. My mom says the only failure is when you give up. If you have your health or a job or a child or a healthy marriage or a good friend don't take one thing for granted. Everyone of my friends disappeared when I got sick. It's been 10 years and I'm not giving up!!

Mary, you can be proud of who you are and where you have gotten today, I couldn't believe you would care about what pessimistic people say, you are amazing and inteligent and no one can tell you squat about what you can become or do. Keep being Mary because Mary is perfect

This video was needed for me! I’m starting a freelance business before my second child arrives this summer. I so badly want to quit my current job to stay home and work....I keep telling myself “how am I going to be successful? I can’t possibly be like everyone else” but your advice has inspired me ♥️ thank you, Mary!

I have tried watching the younger gals in their videos and I can’t stand how they all try to be so seductive. It makes me crazy. They are focused on how pretty they know they are. You are authentic. I think it’s funny how you fluctuate your accent. I especially enjoy your library video in the plumb short. I seriously listened to that one every night for 2 months. This goal video has been encouraging to me tonight because you’re reminding me of what I’ve learned over the past 5 years, some of which I’ve forgotten. By the way, I think you look especially pretty tonight
OMG, I thought I was the only one who gets annoyed by those girls who are trying to make ASMR about youth, seduction and sex...very shallow, backwards and annoying.
Needed this video. I have a new baby girl and I have so many goals to better myself for her. Better health, better budgeting, better time management. Thank you for this.
Thanks for the vid!! My parents didn't let me work when i was younger but i would have certanly apreciatte it. I could have save up money and do things that i wanted. I still have some of those dreams and i think about them.. I am saving money. I just hate that it never seems to be enough.

I paid for my Bachelor’s and took a long time to pay off my loans as well. I took the longest time to go back to school for nursing because of money and being single, but last August I just quit my job and went to school with taking out the little bit of federal loans I could get. I’m so happy I took the leap because it’s not as scary now although money is tight. Lol

This video really reminded me of my goal I had admitted to myself but then talked myself out of...of drasrically changing my career moving back to italu and becoming a chef and resteraunteur..but it's something so big it scares me..but this made think of maybe thinking it's possible again

I was so surprised when you said Animal Behavior! That is what I want to major in, in college. I currently am in a program at my highschool with animals and love it! Thank you for these videos as it helps me so much right now. Literally today I got a letter from apartment office tellers that landlord will not renew our lease and we have to vacate in 60 days.
Asked for a copy of that lease and noticed my signatures and initals are not mine and I never did an electronic signature yet it says that and also the signature looks similar to the manager of the office. Trying so hard to find my original lease copy and cant find it.
Just had to vent. I mean I lived here for 9 years. Never late on rent, never was a disturbance except I complain about major issues such as almost getting attacked by dogs that arent on a leash. Sorry I am ranting....just shocked I would have never thought I'd get a nonrenewal letter for no reason.

As they say, "There's no fool like an old fool". Not everyone grows wise with age. I'm grateful for the lessons I've learned throughout the years.
